Horrible care, there are a few people who care about the residents, the rest, it’s just a job! The management is reminiscent of a dictator, threatening, and vindictive towards family when the question the care of their loved ones.

This is a wonderful facility, the staff is so friendly. I am so happy I made the decision to go with river oaks , from housekeeping and nursing to the executive director I am always treated with compassion and I know that my loved one is truly well cared for. I would not recommend working there management let and employee disrespect and make a new employee feel unwelcome and unwanted its very hard to do your job when you feel that way and iam disappointed in management for letting this happen and letting an employee make someone feel uncomfortable at there work environment

My mother moved in River Oaks in March 2022. There have bit a few bumps in the road, but Andrea Roe, the new director is really working on making the community the best for its residents. As well as the families. They are willing to meet with you whenever you can and discuss your loved one. The nurses, aids and front desk staff all work together to make it work. I would recommend this community for your loved one!!

The River Oaks facility is very nice the staff and management is very friendly and helpful. The residents are so well taken care of and a special recognition of Pebbles Terrill she is so friendly and caring.

I am very impressed with the nurses, aides, receptionists, and administration. They all are truly engaged with the residents and have such a respectful way of speaking to them. It makes this difficult decision easier to adjust to.

River Oaks is an amazing place for those suffering from Alzheimer's or Dementia. The overall decor and gardens are beautiful and always clean. Unlike other care facilities that offer a "Memory Unit", River Oaks only cares for those with memory issues, and it shows. The staff is patient and kind and competent to care for the challenges the disease brings. Staff has communicated well with us during our transition four months ago, and our loved one's room is always spotless. We've experienced two other care facilities and River Oaks is, by far, the best value and the best at providing the special care we had hoped for.

Great facility. Low ratios. Staff alert to needs of residents. Nurses are great and knew the answer to my questions and was very patient as I was talking a resident was yelling wondering where she was and the night nurse Stephanie calmed her down right away. Just like other places it I'm sure has its ups and downs but I see passion at this facility and care towards the residents.

Went for a walk thru tour of this facility. Was pretty impressed on the place. It's very clean and smells good. Didn't really feel like I was in a memory special care unit. Staff seemed efficient and patients looked well taken care of. Really considering putting my father n law here.

Its very reassuring to know that my husband of 50 years, is well taken care of at River Oaks. The nursing staff, support staff and administration are outstanding. They treat the residents and their families with dignity and respect.

River Oaks is our moms new home! She was diagnosed with memory problems-Alzheimers several years ago but she also has several other medical problems that started us on a long road prior to where we are now. While it would have been wonderful if mom could have remained living in our homes, it wasnt safe for her anymore. Her medical problems needed more clinical help than we were able to provide at home. We researched many facilities, visiting them, having them interview mom, filling out piles of forms, etc. Mom was in another facility before we found River Oaks. The other facility ended up being a poor fit for mom which worsened moms condition. Our search started again. All in all we looked into 12 facilities, then we found River Oaks Special Care Center in Miamisburg. All of the staff are caring, professional, concerned and treat our mom like family. The ratio of care givers to clients is comforting, someone is always close by for help. The facility is really state-of-the art for memory care clients. There has been much thought go into selection of features used in the building. We really appreciate how well mom is taken care of every day at River Oaks! We would highly recommend River Oaks to any family looking for a great memory care facility.

River Oaks and its Staff are absolutely Amazing. Ive been visiting my Grandmother there for the past month and couldnt be happier with the facility. The staff is incredibly friendly and engaging with all their Residents and Family members. My first day there I was invited to join my Grandma as well as the other participating residents in on of their fun daily activities. I could not recommend River Oaks more.

River Oaks has been the perfect fit for my aunt. The nursing staff and caregivers have always made my family and I feel welcome. We have brought a group of family members in a couple times and the staff has gone out of the way to make sure we have the back dining room to ourselves so that we can all spend time together as a family. The monthly support group they offer has been so helpful. It has helped me better understand the disease, what to expect moving forward, and offered a place where I can share my struggles with other people who are going through the same thing. It is also a huge relief to have trust in the staff taking care of my family member and the ability to reach out to them anytime I need them. I would highly recommend this building to anyone who has a loved one with Alzheimers or Dementia and is looking for the right fit.

River Oaks is a wonderful facility for those suffering from dementia. It makes a big difference to have a facility that is focused on dementia residents - their staff is trained on the nuances of acting out, wondering, how to distract, make comfortable, etc. We reviewed and actually had mom in other facilities and none compared. The facility is new, clean and set up for dementia residents (like not having dark rugs that they might think is water, having hallways where they can continuously walk). My mother lived at River Oaks until her death and the staff made her stay as good as it could be for a person suffering with dementia. They became like a second family to my mother and treated her as such and they always made myself and our family feel welcome. They answered any questions I had. I was able to visit my mother at any time. If there were issues, we worked together on how best to help and make her comfortable. Anyone who is suffering with or has a family member suffering with dementia, knows how difficult it is and that it isnt easy - but River Oaks and their staff made it the best it could be. Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do for the residents and their families!

River Oaks is the best decision we could have made for our Grandfather. The Staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The building is secured and allows my Grandfather to freely walk around in the building or sit in their beautiful courtyard. I was also impressed how clean and well maintained the building is. The first day there I saw my grandfather through the lobby window of the activity room. He looked so happy. Thank you all so much!

We chose River Oaks for my dad and we could not be happier with the care he is receiving. River Oaks pays extraordinary attention to the individual differences of its residents. The staff is compassionate, enthusiastic and always willing to answer questions. The facility itself is beautiful. It is exceptionally clean and has lovely outdoor areas for the residents. The activities are carefully conceived of to appeal to a wide variety of personality types and abilities. We are so grateful that we made the right decision with River Oaks.

Alzheimers disease is a heartbreaking disease but this facility is filled with great love and joy. The team works together to provide personalized care and support for its residents and their families. We brought my dad to River Oaks because of its excellent reputation for handling difficult behaviors that another local memory care unit was not staffed to deal with. The River Oaks staff did not make excuses, they worked with us to meet his needs. River Oaks is a beautiful new facility but its the kindness of the caregivers that makes it truly special.

River Oaks is a great place for family. The staff is friendly and committed to the well being of the residents. They consistently have fun activities planned, like visits from Elvis, and Santa. As well as musical performances by local children, and weekly scenic drives. The building is beautiful and clean. Overall River Oaks is an excellent place for those facing Alzheimers or Dementia.
