I'm going to give it a 4 because it was just so darn cute. Aesthetically pleasing which is very good for mental health. East and South wings had adorable rooms...both single and double units. Beautiful lobby and hallways. Some great gals working there, very caring people and Eric the maintenance mgr very nice. My only dislike was the food and the dining area but I give them 3 stars anyway. I only had one visit...review subject to change

The Director Tyler is wonderful, He is kind and caring. Wonderful nurses and the entire personnel are very kind and caring. The residence are also very welcoming. I enjoyed the catering food there even when I popped in to see some people I knew from the past they gave me a little snack. I thought it was really kind. They also have this cool little bus that the residence used to go places. You can set up an appointment to go visit and have a tour.

As my brothers health declined and was living independly we needed him closer to us in Amherst Oh. We looked at several places and selected Lorain Estates Senior Living. He only had four months to enjoy the care and great meals provided there. He was as happy as he could be with failing health, but as his overseer I have to thank the entire staff from administration to health administrator, secratary, diatary, and to the maintenance dept. If I could give them rating of ten I would gladly. Thanks to all at Lorain Estates for making his last four months, the best he could have.

It is a nice building, bright and spacious. Great activities, good food! If you just need assistance with small things it is good place but if you have Parkinson's with Dementia or similar, this is not a place I would recommend. I was told they could care for my mom properly in the memory care area. They could not. She fell 2 times in 1 day then another time that week--sent to er, nothing wrong with her luckily. Mom kept forgetting she could not walk without assistance, and they knew that since she had fallen at least 4 times there prior. Now they were not to send her to hospital unless paramedics said to us that she should go after assessing her, we even signed papers. (It was stressing mom and causing delusions & more) The hospital called me at 2am in morning to tell me she was there, not Lorain Estates, they never reached out to us to explain fall or situation. So, staff does not respect their higher ups and do not listen to instructions. Mom did really like her room and the space and other residents so it was a shame we had to uproot her. I wish they would have told me upfront they could not care for her properly. I was not impressed with the P.A. who was looking after patients either.

Wonderful experience! Our Aunt recently stayed for 30-day assisted living respite care. Essential features include high acuity care, one-floor-only premises, and fully furnished respite space. The administrators were very helpful and friendly. The healthcare professionals, healthcare workers, dining, and maintenance staff were attentive, polite, and kind. This small-scale, family-like community immediately welcomed her and kept her wonderfully busy with daily activities and much needed attention.

It has made our job of caring for our father in the proper way at this time in his life much less stressed filled than we have had in our previous facility. I have never felt like we made the wrong decision getting our dad into the AL like I did in previous facility. No second guessing at all with your team of caregivers. Everytime I walk into see my dad he is smiling, socializing out of his room and says "I'm very happy here Meg!!" It really eases the mind of a family knowing you can walk out of the apartment of your Dad and your staff WILL care for our dad the way we always knew he deserved!!! I moved Mom And Dad into Lorain Estates June 2023. Unfortunately, in November 2023 we lost Mom. There was never a question whether or not Dad would stay on at Lorain Estates after Mom had passed! The caregivers, the nurses and the administration were all so helpful and compassionate during our time of grief. I’m usually visiting Dad around 30 hours a week and have come to know all the staff on a personal level and i am able to call all of them my friends. Dad feels like it’s home with all the friends he has made both staff and other residence. He loves riding the stationary bike faithfully everyday.Not bad for almost 97! I am so thankful I chose Lorain Estates to be my Dad’s home.

Because of her care givers' prompt observation and immediate action, she was transported to the hospital where she received required medical treatments. They went from getting by at home to absolutely thriving at Lorain estates! They have a wonderful activities director who takes each individual's interests/ hobbies into consideration to create activities they'd enjoy. Their menu always looks delicious and has so many options, the community is always clean and smells nice and the staff is phenomenal! Phil takes the time to learn about every senior that is interested in moving there to make sure their transition is smooth. Lorain Estates is beyond wonderful, and did such an amazing job welcoming our grandmother. From the minute she arrived she felt invited and loved. The staff here is beyond amazing. They truly care about their residents. Many will even come in to just sit and chat for a few minutes a day. The staff also puts so much thought into their daily activities to make it a fun experience for the residents. From movies, to bingo, to mini-golf and ice cream socials, they make each day something to look forward too. They have done beautiful new renovations throughout the facilty to make it even more inviting. I can't say enough great things about this place, but we are blessed they take such great care of our loved one.

We would like to share our experience with Lorain Estates. From the initial tour through our aunt' s actual move in, the whole process was professional and very efficient. The facility is not only beautiful, extremely clean and well kept, it's very functional. There is a feeling of community among the residents and staff. Mom moved in in Aril, 2021, under a different management name. Have been pleased with Lorain Estates since they took over. The facility has maintained cleanliness and the workers genuinely care about the residents. I’ve been impressed with the events that include the families. I tearfully moved my mom here in June of 2021 after searching facilities for about 2 months. I kept returning to the decision that Lorain Estates was the best choice for my Mom. One year later I can honestly say I made the best choice for her. Being a nurse I know the difficulties facing Healthcare however I can say 1st hand Lorain Estates has done a wonderful job through the past year. The disease process can be challenging however they have never given up with my mom and they have always approached her in a positive loving way. I can honestly say when I leave my mom I feel confident she is being well cared for. I am thankful beyond measure to the staff caring for my loved one and I would highly recommend Lorain Estates!

They were complimentary of the care they received. My family & I have nothing but great things to say about Elmcroft of Lorain! Our dad was in the hospital and was in need of supervision and therapy after a hospital stay. The insurance would not approve a nursing home and we really didn’t want him going to one. Due to all of us children working full time we were not able to provide this supervision for dad. My siblings & I began calling around for options. Home Health could only provide a few hours of care & supervision a day which we didn’t feel comfortable with. We began calling Assisted Livings. Elmcroft of Lorain came to the rescue! We spoke with the Sales Director. She said they had a few open apartments left. She offered their short term furnished apartment. We were also pleasantly surprised to find out that they provide in house physical therapy ( which Dad was in need of) and we agreed that we would move forward. Dad, originally, was only going to stay for a couple of weeks until he got stronger but, after a week, Dad was socializing and making friends with other Veterans living at Elmcroft of Lorain and decided to sell his condo and move in permanently! We cannot thank Elmcroft of Lorain enough for all that they do for our dad each and every day!

First,...make sure to check out unannounced places you are considering to place a love one. What you see here is what you get. The nurse staff has changed over in the last year but the aides have not and they do an excellent job of attending to the needs of the residents. Secondly...get everything in writing...not just lip service. A number of places say what they are GOING TO DO....this place is clean...good staff...secure and comes as advertised. You only get one set of parents!! Do what is BEST for them.
