I pick up here through agency as a nurse and will say, I am honored & happy to come to a place like this. It’s privately owned. The residents all mostly have their own private rooms (it should be this way everywhere.) The food is high quality and made by chefs. The nursing staff are impressive, I’ve never in 15 years seen a more qualified group of women & men, these are not “nursing home nurses” or “nursing home aides” in the traditional sense. These are highly skilled, caring, energetic, positive people. They’re so smart & the medical care is much more innovative than a regular nursing home. My friend and I joke that this place must be double blessed or sit on some type of meridian, because we just always have a positive experience there. There always seems to be enough aides, the residents are showered and checked regularly, the supplies are plentiful, they have abundant ancillary services and even dog walkers.

I have worked at Laurel Lake for 25 years. Friendly, caring residents and hardworking, dedicated staff. Especially during these challenging times I have been impressed with the teamwork between residents and staff. I would not hesitate to recommend this community to anyone.

My parents have lived at Laurel Lake since 2014. Its a beautiful place, nice big campus. Ive been impressed how active the residents are. Staff really go above and beyond. Definitely worth considering.

As someone who has worked in nursing homes for over 20 years, Laurel Lake is a great place to live and work. It has awesome perks for employees too. Free gym membership, Christmas bonus, on-site restaurant staff can order from, free pool and fitness access, great tuition reimbursement, hardship loans for staff, 5 star staffing with low resident to staff ratio... the list goes on and on.

My grandparents moved to Laurel Lake in 1994. Over the years, they progressed from independent living in a community where they made many new friends and became involved in new activities, to assisted living, to now my grandmother lives in Crown Center in full-time care. In all my visits there, I've been impressed by the facilities, the warmth and friendliness of the staff, and the way that management has reinvested in the property and facilities over time. These other reviews are clearly written by people who are former employees who have a grudge against them - if you're looking for a place for yourself or for a family member who needs care, you couldn't ask for much more.

Very expensive but if finances allow, this is an excellent facility. Starting with the patient care staff, there is an incomparable level of compassion, knowledge and commitment which provides positive feelings of belonging to a family community and helps to allay the anxiety that attaches itself to any life changing event. Of course the amenities, services, and facilities are all top drawer as is the food. As anyone who has had to rely on institutional meals can attest, the quality, variety and creativity of the menu is an important component of one's days.
