My 96 year old mother fell and had to have surgery. She is staying at this place to get rehab and to learn to walk again. Everyone is so kind. I feel very comfortable having her there. She's getting stronger every day! Special thank you to everyone in the 300 hall for everything you do. I appreciate all of you!

My wife spent about 10 days at Lifecare while rehabbing from a knee replacement surgery. The whole facility is excellent. Very nice rehab setup with very good rehab personnel. All the people there do an amazing job. In today's world, unfortunately, nursing homes just don't get the funding needed to always be fully staffed. The people at Lifecare work very hard to make up for that. The nursing and aide staff were wonderful. Always providing comfort, medical attention, and pain management in a caring, patient manner. Did not catch everyone's names, but wanted to recognize a few who did a great job. Rose, Q, Paris, Christine, Bola, Audra,and Connie. Others also, but again, didn't catch all the names. The receptionists up front are amazing. Coming into a nursing home isn't always a happy occasion. The receptionists are the first ones you see coming in. They can set the tone for your visit by how they greet you and help you. Miss Lisa in the mornings was always smiling and so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Miss Madeline in the evenings was very kind, friendly and helpful. All the other receptionists were excellent, too. They made you feel like you were coming to a friendly, upbeat place. This can be more valuable than many people realize and should never be taken for granted. Everone in the facility seems to understand this as they do their various jobs. In the business offices, Courtney, Missy, and Cindy went above and beyond to help with admission, and insurance issues. Highly recommend this facility if the need arises..

Very bad communication between supposedly doctors or practitioners nurse. My wife was with a wet pamper all night, when I went there around 11:30 am she still have the same pamper. She just have a mayor surgery since this morning she’s waiting for a medicine for the pain, is 10:00pn and she still waiting, is no fair. If this is the service for patients that have to advocate for them imagine the patients that they don’t have no one. Is very SCARY!!!!

Was greeted pleasantly by everyone from the time I entered til I left. They graciously showed me around the facility and answered all my questions. Before I left they gave me some information to lookout and told me to call if there were any questions. Beautiful clean facility with lots of smiling faces.

The staff at Life Care of Elyria treat my brother with respect and compassion. The team in charge of my brother has gone above and beyond in getting Rick the items and services that he is able to get through his insuance. Kaitlyn even dials my phone number for Rick so that he can talk to me. I'm called by a staff member whenever there is a change in Rick's medications. I was even given a call when Rick's roommate was in a dying condition. They were going to move Rick so that he would not be disturbed during the night. How thoughtful! Care conferences are held consistently every 90 days. The care team knows Rick as a person! I too, feel very welcome as I am greeted by the front staff personnel and all whom I encounter on my way to Rick's room. I'm grateful for all that the staff does for Rick. This gives me great peace of mind. THANK YOU, STAFF OF LIFE CARE OF ELYRIA!!!

We were greeted as we walked in and receptionist ask for the name of the client we wanted to visit. She knew what room he was in right away. Help us check in the kiosk We could tell that staff was diligent and what they were doing whether it's helping the patient or cleaning up. Nice place to visit someone.

In less than 4 years when my mother was self pay, we went through approximately $350,000.00. Meals are mediocre. However, there in not 1 staff member I could have a bad word for. They are all great!

Very clean which was impressive no small like usual nursing homes. Everyone is really kind and professional and helpful to my grandma. The only thing I notice was it was very hot in the building not sure if the air conditioner was broken? So far they have my 5 star rating!!

Life Care is a very clean, uplifting place. My mom is there and gets great care. The staff are exceptional, and they all know my Dad by name. He is there visiting every day. While I was there at the Nursing Home, I want to thank all the wonderful staff who worked with me. At night there were special people who came in to help me, it was Pam and Jessica, they always came in with a smile on their faces and took care of me, they were wonderful. These ladies worked so hard and were so dedicated. One nurse always came in and called me Sunshine, she was a wonderful person. Anna was a wonderful nurse who had a smile that would light up the room. She always helped me with my showers and always dried my hair. She is a very special person! Jamie took care of me as well and she is a wonderful person! My therapist’s were wonderful and they worked with me every day, I’m still doing my therapy at home. The lady who delivered my food was from my overseas and she was so bubbly and helpful. Michael was a gentle giant who was wonderful with me and my husband and family. Connie came in everyday to give me my medicine. She gave me a cross and I’ve got it by my side every day.The staff that I have mentioned worked the most with me, however all the staff were wonderful and I felt very comfortable being there and they helped me so much. I just want everyone to know that I highly recommend this facility for you or your family members. I would definitely go back again if I had to! God Bless You All! Peggy Douglas

My dad was at Life Care of Elyria for about 3 weeks. He was in the 300 wing. The nurses and aides did a great job. They treated him well. Therapy was very beneficial.

My multi-week rehabilitative stay at Life Care Center of Elyria was an outstanding experience. The programs, services, staff and facilities were excellent. I made clear to the staff up front my rehabilitative needs following a lengthy inpatient hospital stay. By the end of my time at LCCE the staff had met (or exceeded) the goals we had set for me regarding mobility and overall leg and core strength. The PT/OT staffs knew what was needed and saw that I got it, and their support and encouragement during rehab exercises were a factor in our eventual success. All this was accomplished in facilities that were bright, cheery and absolutely spotless! Housekeeping is certainly a top priority at LCCE! In summary, a tough time in my recuperation from a serious illness was made all the easier, all the better, by the folks at Life Care of Elyria. I would not hesitate to return if necessary, nor would I hesitate to recommend it to a family member or friend. It is a class facility staffed by class professionals.

Jerry came back to life after staying at the skilled nursing and rehabilitation center of life care. He was so weak when he went in after a hospital stay he received excellent care through occupational therapy and physical therapy. Highly recommend entrusting your family members here. I was admitted for a little over a month to help with my recovery. I was treated with respect and being cared for in a loving manner. I definitely got a lot of stares from the residents that live there full time because I'm 42 but was never disrespected or talked down to. But if I heard something or felt uncomfortable about a situation, my requests or concerns wasn't bypassed. I was heard. Thank you to all the nurses that helped me along the way

My father-in-law was in there for about a week, but had to go back to the hospital due to other health issues, but while he was staying at the facility, he said that the staff was really attentive to all of his needs and that it was a really nice clean place

My dad has been at Lifecare for broken hip rehab for the past 2 weeks and will be released Christmas morning!! Due to some underlying causes- at times my father was a tough patient I can not compliment the 2nd hall nurses and STNAs enough who were very responsive to my dads call button and our family These professionals work their tails off!! Rehab therapists were also great as well as the Office staff

Hmmm where do I begin, the people at this nursing home took the best care of my aunt Connie Worley, not only am I gonna miss Connie but I gonna miss all the caring staff as well. I gotta hand it to yal ain’t no way I can do what yal do. Sonia you were the light to that dark tunnel, David he’s just so on it to everything and everyone, then we have Gina her and mom bumped heads few times but they were cool at the end, genny I didn’t really get to sit and chat with but she called mom last night to let her know to get to the nursing home, and Kathy Omggggggg I just love her to death she’s an amazing person, and all the other staff you guys are amazing keep up the good work.

I’ll say this, being a Trache patient is hard and sometimes you lack motivation, but the Physical and Occupational therapy team here helps me tremendously. From there energy to the willingness to motivate me to stay active and get better each and everyday. Highly recommended!!

Dad has been at Life Care Center of Elyria for about a year now in Long Term Care. He has received great care! The staff is all very nice and treats the patients with the utmost care. We have been there many times and I have NEVER heard a staff person, nurse, maintenance, cleaning staff, or anyone talk badly to a patient. They treat their patients with respect and dignity and I have been impressed by that! (What they do is difficult and I would be unable to do it!) They walk by Dad in the hall and say Hi Gordon no matter who the staff person is. The medical staff is top-notch and they truly care about the patients. Gena and Reggie are two of his nurses, who I know, and they take great care of Dad. We have a quarterly meeting with Sherri the social worker, Sonia the head nurse, and Alexis the activities director, to get an update on his condition and how he is adjusting to his surroundings. They are all great and love what they do. I can't say enough good things about the people there. I highly recommend Life Care Center of Elyria if you are considering Rehab or Long Term Care.

A family member was admitted to Life Care Center of Elyria for three weeks of rehabilitation in December 2023 and I have been remiss in posting my review. Upon admission, my family member was unable to leave their bed after an injury they suffered, in less than a week they were sitting in a chair and therapy had started. By the second week they were walking to the therapy room with little assistance. By the end of the third week they were almost back to where they were before their injury. I am so grateful for the care and therapy received to help my family member return to home with a level of independence again. Edit 5/19/24I wish I could have rated a 2nd time but Google will only allow an edit. I just picked up my family member today after a twelve day respite stay. While I was gone for an extended vacation I was ’ confident that they were safe at Lifecare Centers of Elyria. From the moment we walked in with the welcome back comments to everyone (nursing, aides, activity coordinator, housekeeping, and residents) coming to hug and say good-bye, I knew that we made the right choice!! Thank you to EVERYONE for making it feel like coming home!!! I definitely want my family member to come to Elyria for all respite staysfingers crossed there is availability!

I had a difficult surgery and recovery and came to Life Care Elyria for the rehab. I like the Therapy team. They really worked me over and were very instrumental in getting me back on my feet. Everyone that I encountered was helpful and thoughtful with my situation and did their best to comfort me. The hallways are large and my bathroom had a wide 5 ' shower in it for easy wheelchair access. The building is quite attractive. And it doesnt smell like disinfectant.!But yet it is kept very clean. I would highly recommend this facility.

Not good at all. Had to wait almost an hour everytime I rang my light. Food was not good. I asked for no gravy, they put gravy on everything. Sausage half done, and no one does random room checks.

I have been a resident at Life Care Center of Elyria for 4 years. The staff here is very friendly and obliging, and have come to feel like family. My room is clean, comfy, and cozy. I enjoy participating in the group and individual activities they provide. I am currently the Resident Council President. Im very happy with my decision to make this place my home.

My Grandma was a Resident at the Abbewood and went to Life Care for therapy after a fall. They worked with her to get her stronger to return to her assisted living apartment. It was so nice to have her so close to home so her friends could come and visit. The staff took great care of her and were able to get her home quick.

My husband has been in there 3 times and he goes back tomorrow They are so good to him, I think they have a great staff. From the cleaning lady to the top staff. They are so nice. There therapy people are above the top. Is there more that they could do. Off course there I'd, however they are usually short staffed I really like it. It would not worry me if I had to go therefore treatment
