A lot of rude staff! Visiting with my wifes church group on labor day weekend. It left me concerned. Sunday we went to on the 2cond floor. I was suprised that the nonchalant attitude of the orderleys even though alarms were going off because they were just sitting while the nurse was rushing around to every room trying to helppatients and fix stuff, but she seemed like she was new or somethin. I felt bad for this one lady who said she'd been waiting for a cup of ice for 45 minutes. laborday, this evening we went to visit 2 people on the 4th floor and at first it seemed more open and cheerfull there. They were passing dinner trays and I asked one girl where the room was we were going to. She looked right at me and then turned to my wife and told her it wasn't her assignment but it was to the right past the nurse station. It was wierd she completely ignored me like I wasnt the one who spoken to her. She was black and my wife, who is also black, thought think it's a race thing and she don't like talking to white people. I'm hispanic but look white. Then at the counter, the nurse and a really big guy orderley were having a conversation openly about how fat one of the residents had gotten. Maybe that is normal. just seems wierd. After that, during the visit in in the patients room, the same demale orderley came in to take away the tray even thoug it she aint touched it yet. The orderley didn't knock and barely said a word to our friend. That time I caught the name on her badge said [name removed]. When our friend asked for another cookie, she was told there were no more. Unfortunatly, I had seen Tiffany and the big boy orderley picking food off other people's trays on the catering cart. Including an entire meal box and several wax paper wrapped cookies. I am not sure what the rules are but if my mother was denied an extra cookie because a staff member was hoarding them insted, I would get her the hell out of there.

Maria Joseph Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is by far the best nursing facility in the Dayton area. From the staff to the residents, everyone is great! I enjoy coming to work each day knowing as a team, we all make a difference

I have been at Maria Joseph for rehab. I would recommend anyone to come here. I have had such a good experience while I have been here. This is a wonder place. They have been comforted me at my time in need. Staff member treated me like family.

I've seen first-hand how the residents are treated here. They are treated like family. The staff know them by name and their families. This indicates a personal investment in the lives of all persons who enters our doors. Life-time connections are made, and extended families are created. I went from working in the field of behavioral health and addiction for almost 7 years to working in a healthcare facility and nothing brings me a greater joy than being around the residents and the staff that I am now. It is said that when you do something you like, it's a job, but doing something you love it's a calling. I believe this is my calling .

Use to work here back in 2004-09...a truly wonderful place! Miss it so much!! Very memorable job experience! If I hadn't moved out of town, this would still be my second home! & I'll never forget the Angel me and another co worker saw in the graveyard at night..

Maria Joseph is a wonderful place to have your loved one cared for. My mother lived at Maria Joseph nursing and rehabilitation for 16 years and she thrived at this facility. My brother is there now and they take very good care of him the nurses and staff on Lourds 3 are some of the most caring and kind people they really care about the patients. Administration is wonderful the social worker and other administrative staff have been awesome they have taken very good care of my brother and have really helped me in some difficult situations concerning my brother not to mention it is one of the largest nursing homes to my knowledge in the Dayton Ohio area it is a very beautifully decorated and well-kept facility and I highly recommend it. This is a facility that really and truly cares about their patients if there is a problem they will do everything in their power to correct it and this is something you don't often experience in other nursing facilities.

I recently started working here after being at my last job for over 25 years. It was a tough decision to make the change but I am so happy I did. I love Maria Jo!! Everyone is so caring and friendly...they truly care about the well-being of the residents and each other....I would definitely recommend this facility to my family/friends!
