I remember working there as a STNA. I wasn't from Ohio I'm from Missouri and we say CNA. This was a team player job. I worked evenings and the staff were all amazing, helpful and a joy to work with. I actually moved back to Missouri and wish we had CNA like them. We helped each other. They were caring by nature. The rocked those halls. Everyone was cleaned. Showered and well feed. Our supervisor was amazing as well. She severed complained and if you asked her for help she'd give you the shirt off her back she made sure we took breaks, stayed hydrated for our mental health as well. I don't know what this place is like now this was 7 yrs ago lol

My mom came to St. Augustine for rehab after, a car accident, during summer 2024 after suffering cardiac arrest due to neglect at another facility. St. Augustine staff, the facility, and services have been phenomenal. The staff on the 4th floor were amazing and responsive to my mom's and our needs. The PT/OT staff was caring and worked her hard to help her heal. The social work staff was knowledgeable and responsive. They kept us informed about Medicare and care plan for my mom. The admissions staff was also very nice and helped me out with an issue after my mom was admitted to St. Augustine. If you or a family member needs acute rehabilitation, I recommend St. Augustine. The food is good too!!!

Everything about this place is spectacular except the food. The care of my dad was exceptional at every level. (He was there for skilled nursing/PT.) The building is old but kept immaculately clean. The Physicsl Therapist was kind. Jose M, who took care of coordinating his care is just one of the most amazing humans I've ever met. But the food...my dad lost a ton of weight because the food was bad. I thought maybe it was because of his diabetic diet. But when I ate at the cafeteria, I nearly threw up. The food was not fresh...not even close. What was supposed to be mashed sweet potatoes had the consistency of baby food and was GREY! The chicken legs tasted like the meat had started to spoil. Honestly, they're going to kill someone. The cooks need to go. This is definitely an area that needs serious improvement!

I was very blessed to find this establishment when my dad needed care outside the home. There are some very special, caring people here.

I just wish I could have a conversation with my Mother's social worker or doctor. My Mother is complaining that nothing is being done for her and she is just wasting away and getting weaker by the day.
