My mother got bed sores because the third shift help let her lay in her urine and did not keep her dry and clean. She went into hospice because the sores were so painful. F rating. Worse possible third shift care. They let my mother lay in her urine in bed during the night. I have recorded voice mails saved from her to prove my case. F rating nursing care. She wasn’t ready to die. They say the care is rated great but stay up third shift and see how they let residents lie in their feces and urine while they cry out for help.

What is it that residents like so much about Judson Park? Is it the unique combination of residents—retired college professors, teachers, nurses, long time Clevelanders and newcomers to Cleveland? Is it the proximity to University Circle and downtown Cleveland?The special quality for me is the Ambler Heights Neighborhood which includes Denton, Harcourt, Elandon, Devonshire and Chestnut Hills. The neighborhood was designed so that it could not become a cut-through between Cedar and North Park. And the secret has been well kept. Traffic is minimal, making the streets tranquil.I enjoy trying to identify trees, shrubs and flowers. My new neighborhood is heavenly for that exercise because of its diversity. Not only can one find the usual maples and oaks, but our streets have Katsura, shadbush, gingko and Weeping beech trees. It keeps one looking up lot and going back to reference books. In April, the trees are in bloom and are beautiful as ever. This neighborhood is what makes Judson Park a great place to live.

Remembering my mother on her birthday and the wonderful care she received at Judson

My Mother and Father-in-law both had recent stays at Judson Health Center,. Mom went through rehab for a hip fracture and Dad for post acute care following a surgical procedure. Some of that time they were at Judson simultaneously! The care they both received was simply excellent. The attention to their medical needs as well as their emotional needs during an uncomfortable time enabled them and the entire family to rest assured that they were in the best place possible. We are very thankful that we have such a wonderful resource for our loved ones.

My mother is a resident at Judson. Having worked in this industry as a facilities director, I have seen the good and not so good. Judson sets the standard of how a nursing home should operate! It is not just a nursing facility where my mom resides, it is now her home! I would highly recommend Judson to anyone looking for a caring place to have thier loved one live out a NEW life!!

Judson is a wonderful place. The staff really invest themselves in getting to know the residents. However the building is a maze of additions and towers. The distances for my mom to walk to events would have been unrealistic andshed get lost. Even at 90 she doesnt like anyone pushing her if she can avoid it.The activities are exstensive and meet all levels of interest and abilities. It is asthetically beautiful with many outdoor areas and an indoor walking path , pool and exercise room. Its expensive and food is B+. Cafe is a nice alternative for lunch time.

My mother moved to Judson Park a few years ago from her home in Cleveland Heights, and what a wonderful experience it has been! For my mom, who had been widowed for 10 years, its been a chance to meet new people, and to have new companions to dine with at the Community Table each evening. Its been a chance to enjoy the convivial happy hours at the end of each week, and to take in a piano recital or art lecture. Always a fiercely private person, the staff at Judson has been kind and patient as she has become acclimated to her new surroundings, down to the tiniest details that have made such a big difference to her.For my sister and me, its meant knowing that she is safe and not alone anymore. We know she access to medical care and other services she just couldnt get when she was in her home. It means that we can drop by for a chat and spend time with her in her apartment, rather than picking up her vacuum cleaner and doing chores around her house when it became too much for her.Now, as she has to deal with some health issues, once again, the staff has rallied around her. I cant say enough about the amazing warmth we feel from the staff and the personalized approach to all they do for her as her needs change. I cant thank everyone enough for taking such good care of our mother!
