Northgate Park was great helping my sister while she stayed there. Unfortunately, she stayed there lass than a year due to her passing from cancer. We would recommend Northgate Park as an excellent facility.

My father has been at Northgate Park since mid December 2025. He was living at another senior facility in Madison, Indiana, when he had a stroke. The place who is living, was not able to give him the level of care he needed so he transferred him to Northgate on the advice of a good friend, Linda Shaw. The last senior living facility he was at was nice, but they didn’t have half of the social events that they do at Northgate. For the first time, my father participated in holiday events, art activities, Social gatherings, Movie nights and something new: chair volleyball! My father receives regular Check-ins from Emily, the move in coordinator and the Wellness Director, Deandra, both of whom have been amazing at helping me navigate my fathers healthcare needs, socialization and comfort from 2,000 miles away. One amazing perk is that my father’s girlfriend of 30 years gets to come and stay overnight anytime she likes. This has been great in keeping my fathers spirits up, as she would often stay with him in his home before his move to Northgate, so it was important for us to find a place where she could feel free to visit my father, share meals, and activities. From Connie and Joe at the front desk and Casey, the can-do-anything handyman on campus, along with all of the nurses and other staff members who keep Northgate such a lovely place to live, I’d like to say thank you. I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the quality of nursing care provided to my mother at Northgate Park. The following issues are unacceptable and raise serious questions about medication safety, staff accountability, and overall resident well-being: Improper Medication Handling: A nurse broke up multiple tablets and placed them back into a vial. The correct procedure is to split a tablet and administer both halves within the same day or on consecutive days. Splitting an entire vial of tablets is a clear violation of proper medication protocols. Medication Dosage Errors: My mother has consistently received incorrect dosages, despite the correct dosage being clearly written on both the jar label and the top of the container. Misleading and Unnecessary Recommendations: A nurse told my mother she needed to purchase a cushion she already owns. False Statements Regarding Medication Pickup: A nurse informed my mother that I was unwilling to pick up medication from Kroger, when in fact there was no medication ready for pickup. The staff do not inform me if they need medication nor do they order it from Kroger's where I get an email there is medication ready to be picked up. Delayed Medication Administration: My mother reports that she sometimes waits two to three hours after requesting her medication. This is unacceptable and poses a risk to her health. Additionally, I was told that the nurse who broke up the tablets was not part of your staff, yet there is no record of an outside agency nurse providing care. This lack of documentation raises serious concerns about security and oversight within your facility.

We moved my in-laws into Northgate Park a few months ago because my mom lived there in the past and she loved it as well as I loved it. My mother-in-law has passed but they were great and Hospice was great taking care of her. My father-in-law is thriving there still and cannot say enough nice things about it. Peace of mind that he is somewhere he enjoys. Another big bonus, when we moved them in I ran into several people on staff who were there back when my mom lived there. Unheard of in that industry!

I've purposely waited to post a review of Northgate Park...waiting for the "honeymoon phase" to pass. Afterall, everyone is on their best behavior at first. Well, Mom is starting her third month there, and she is happy and thriving. Her apartment is cozy and comfortable, and the whole facility is clean and homey. The staff members--from administration, nursing, maintenance, activities, housekeeping, and dietary--are very caring, great at what they do, and actually seem to enjoy doing it! Their attitude is one of the best things about the whole experience. Everyone who has visited Mom since her move there has commented on how much she has improved. Northgate Park is fantastic!

My mom was welcomed by Northgate Park (NP) in March 2025 & I can't say enough positive things about their community. Emily (NP Welcoming Coordinator) & Kim (NP) have been so kind & they have become part of mom's family. It's heart warming when mom shares her experiences in the may social activities - Wii Bowling, Morning Stretch, Bingo, Whack-It Volleyball, bands playing at NP and many other.

When I came to Northgate Park in October of 2024, I was warmly greeted with an infectious smile and hearty welcome by Emily, the move-in coordinator. On that day, she was in character, dressed as Dorothy from the Land of Oz. It didn’t take very long at all before I felt very comfortable and secure. From the start, I was made to feel important”like I mattered in the scope of things. In every facet of the operation of the facility, I have experienced staff who are dedicated to the care and well-being of the residents. Everyone is friendly and attentive to your needs! I tend to be a bit involved with my art and creativity, which keeps me occupied”so now I’m free to pursue whatever inspires me. In the meantime, Martha, Amber, Katie and Kim devote every waking hour to creating and managing various activities that keep the residents as busy as we want to be. And BINGO, three times a week, is a big hit! For the folks in wheelchairs, there are escorts”ever-present and ready to be of service. As difficult as it must be to cater to the tastebuds of over a hundred individuals, Dining Services Director Jacob is to be commended for keeping us well-fed. From the impeccable housekeepers and the extremely talented maintenance workers to the very caring, compassionate nursing staff”high standards abound! And I must give an honorable mention to the wonderful individuals who welcome visitors and manage a myriad of important tasks at the front desk and offices. I felt certain that when I gave up my house of 30 years and my late-model automobile, I had forfeited everything of value in my life. I was very wrong. Although I did relinquish my house, I soon found a home at Northgate Park.

There are better places out there for the money.stay away if your loved one has dementia. Northgate went bad after a 10% increase in cost, lack of proper care for dementia(aides were not escorting my Mom to/from meals and activities), activities and residents not welcoming/accommodating for people with dementia, my friends complaining that the staff were not friendly when they came to visit, routine feces smell in the hallway, theft of my Mom’s keys, sweater, and coat, and a push to have my Mom leave and go to a Memory Care facility. She is now at a better place, in Assisted Living versus Memory Care, THRIVING! The staff and residents are all friendly and supportive of her dementia. She is active in all the activities. She is playing the same games that Northgate Park said she could not manage! She is welcome to attend offsite activities. She just needed to be somewhere with more skill, patience and care for dementia. My mom and I get hugs from the staff in her new place Feels so good to be wanted. Oh yeah. The cost of this new place is the same and does not go up 5-10% year. Nicer facility and better care. Hallelujah!

Recently moved my mom to Northgate Park (4wks ago). Kim and Emily have been very helpful in getting my mom adjusted to her new home. My mom now attends the rosary in the chapel every morning and goes to the social events like bingo and ice cream. They offer so many great activities that get the residents out of their apartment, like scenic bus rides and shopping trips to Walmart and Kroger. All of the aides and nurses have been very friendly and attentive as well. All residents have a life alert necklace and when my mom has needed to press it, the aides are very quick to respond. I have security cameras in my moms apartment because she is a fall risk and she doesn’t always answer my phone calls when I check on her and it has been very comforting to be able to check on my mom 24/7. They are also pet friendly, have washers and dryers at the end of each hall, and an outdoor walking trail. Highly recommend Northgate Park for assisted living.

We have been very happy with the decision of making Northgate Park my Aunts new home. Although at times she thought she was just there for rehab and would be going back to her condo. We can’t thank Emily enough for all her visits and encouraging my Aunt to participate in all the activities. She plays Bingo, goes on the scenic bus rides and enjoys the lunch trips out to various restaurants around town. Having people to share her meals with has helped immensely with her actually eating and building up her strength. The dining room staff are fantastic and take time to get to know everyone. A couple of times she has not felt well and the nurse has been very attentive. Kim has been fantastic. My Aunt actually looks forward to her rides to appointments and conversing with Kim on the way to and from. And a big thank you to Vicki at the front for making all the doctors appointments and transportation. She definitely has a real connection with her aides. They are very attentive and helpful but more than that they seem to enjoy being there and have a genuine concern and connection with her. I can’t leave out Casey for help with the TV and cable set up, hanging some items and fixing a drawer. He is very prompt on addressing any issues. These are just a few of the people we have connected with these past few months but everyone there is very friendly and helpful and she loves the fact they address her by name. She now considers Northgate Park to be her home by her choice and not ours. Thank you to all of the employees at Northgate Park.

What an amazing first day experience. I cannot say enough about Emily oh man she walked us through everything and was at the door waiting to greet us. Working with Kim over a 3-month period to make this happen was nice. This was the best decision that we had made for our mother-in-law. Again these people are the best.

We recently moved my 81 year old Mother to Northgate Park and she loves the friendliness of the staff and fellow residents. Being around other people all day and having new friends to dine with gives her something to look forward to each day. The cleanliness, daily activities and meal choices are exceptional. Mom has lived here for two months now. The staff has been wonderful at every stage, helping us get her moved in and making her feel welcome. Her apartment is cozy, she has her own patio, the food is excellent, and there are many activities from which to choose. I especially love the skylights in the dining room--such a cheerful space.

My sister moved in a month ago after over a year in a horrible skilled nursing facility. We have found everyone to be friendly, helpful and responsive. And she likes the food. She's slowly settling in to her new studio apartment and getting to know some other residents. The only thing she has mentioned is that the bathroom is small and the tub shower will be difficult for her to get in and out of.

Our elderly father moved to Northgate Park over a month ago. I can’t say enough how nice they have been to him and how they have gone out of their way to make him feel comfortable and at home. He always remarks that he doesn’t understand how everyone there knows his name. Everything about the process was smooth, from the initial interview to the final move-in. I know now he is in a very safe place with many kind people to keep an eye on him. I would highly recommend this community.

My Dad has recently become a resident at Northgate Park. I can't say enough good things about the staff there. Kim was so acommodating and wonderful to work with as we did initial visits and move-in. Rosemarie and the rest of the staff have been great in keeping us informed about things going on with our father and have been very responsive to any questions or changes we have. It's a super clean and welcoming environment and there are lots of activities for the residents to do to keep them busy. I would highly recommend Northgate Park to anyone looking for assisted living for their loved one.

Everything was great, they were very thorough in explaining everything to me. The staff made mom very comfortable. It started great, then my mom made a mistake and wandered off. After only 4 weeks I had to move her again. If that wasn't stressful enough, it took over 6 weeks to get the refund they owed us. When it came, it was less than 1/2 the rent and didn't include any of the $1500 Community Fee! She was only there 4 weeks.....why should they be able to keep the whole fee? Very disappointed with them. I was told by them we should get it most of it back....if not all if it.

Northgate Park Senior Living is amazing! My mom’s first week there she received excellent care. She had to go to the hospital for a blood clot in her lung and the staff was great on getting her prompt medical attention. This past week she has returned to Northgate Park. She was greeted by every single staff member including the staff in the kitchen. Why my mom loves her new home - this is where her friends are.

Selling my parent's home and having my dad move into an Assisted Living facility was not one we did without much consideration and investigation of our options. My Grandfather Jerry M. moved to Northgate Park this year, and we’ve loved everything about his new home. They were extremely helpful in transitioning from his previous home in Wisconsin to Cincinnati. He is able to keep his best friend/dog with him and has a nice patio to take him outside. There are countless activities and outings to keep Grandpa busy. The staff truly cares and not only remembers Grandpa but us as well when we visit.

My Mother has been living at Northgate Park for about 2 years now. She originally moved in due to some health issues and intended to stay for a few months. She now calls NP home. This has been a tough year for all of us, especially our senior population. Although it has been a tough ride, Mom has felt safe and cared for during the turmoil that our world is going through. I greatly appreciate everything that Rosemarie and the entire staff has done to keep the residents safe and comfortable.

My Mom and Dad lived at Northgate Park. My Mom lived there for 1.5 years and my Dad for over 3 years. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for the leadership and staff at Northgate Park. Both my parents were very happy at Northgate Park. They are respectful of the residents and also very supportive of the family of residents - especially during the Covid 19 restrictions. Calling them Heroes falls short of what they do everyday.

My mom moved in several months ago. She has had a great experience so far. The transition from moving from her longtime home to assisted living has been so much easier than expected. They have accomodated here low salt diet, have so many activities for them, and the staff have been so friendly and accommodating. We've had a couple bumps mainly because of covid but they are quick to help with solutions. She likes it so much she has gotten her friends to move in too.

I can't say enough good things about this place. They have taken such good care of my mother and father-in-law. Above and beyond what any other place would have done. The staff is so nice, and they truly care about their residents. They mean it when they say graceful living. They allow their residents to keep their dignity as they age while still giving them the care they need. My father in law's is slipping downhill, and we didn't know how bad it was until he came to stay with us following my MIL's passing. We were concerned that he was going to need to go to a full blown nursing home, but the staff at northgate park were already aware of his state and ready to take care of him (and probably already were without us really knowing). It was such a relief. These people are the salt of the earth, and we are so grateful.

My mom has lived Northgate for 3 years. The staff has always nice and customer service is the best in all Ohio. My mom gain freinds and the activities are so much fun for her. Vicki at the front desk is very busy but she has shown the utmost care for all residence and their families. Covid has been a trying time for the park but Rosemarie has kept our mom and residence , staff with the utmost protection from this aweful virus. She continues to keep our families and residence up to date on what has been going on. Our family and our mom have been completely satisfied with the care they have given to her. Prices for a room has been great. Maintenance are highly qualified. Rooms are painted and clean professionally. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a retirement home or assisted living for the special person in your family life. I would highly recommend Northgat Park. Our family member lived there and when Covid hit they did not watch her mental status and she was getting worse every day. We finally intervened via her Physician and she ended up having Covid and was immediately taken to the hospital and the Covid affected her brain. In addition we moved her out and they only refunded us a portion of her rent. After contacting Rosemarie over several times via phone messages and texts she never returned our calls. In turn we contacted corporate and still never received a response to date. Terrible customer service.

The staft has always been great. They are very caring and were very helpful with any problems we have had with my father. My father likes to stay busy with all the things they have going on each day. He also like to occasionally takes the bus trips out to eat and just for the ride around the city. We could not have picked a better place than Northgate Park for my father. Doug Hughett
