Beware, This is not a nursing home and they don't have the same standards. Poor book keeping and they are not required by law to keep the same notes and updates on residents as nursing homes. They will not tell you this. No way would I place a love one there. Low staff and lack of communication is very common. They only care about the monthly check and nothing else. Money and more MONEY. Sad

Mallard Cove has been the home of my parents for over six years. They have provided a warm environment and very personnel care. As one of their four children, all of whom live out of town, we rest assured that mom and dad’s needs are taken care of by the helpful staff. When situations have come up which require the children’s support, the attentive staff has always been efficient in contacting us and seeing to mom and dad’s safety and comfort. During the current pandemic the staff at Mallard Cove has gone to great lengths to balance my parent’s safety and needs. I recommend the facility whole heartily to anyone seek a safe and friendly atmosphere!

Sales marketing team sale a dream scenario if ur senior will be checked in every 2 hours and answer help pendant in 10 minutes excuses explanations of lack of services. Short staff we hire class b aides she ha 14 residents u don’t have a personal aide u can do that urself stop being lazy u must learn to do on ur own rhe company is Mexican don’t speak English plumbing issues 8 apartments share the sewer stack stop using wipes it’s ur fault don’t put anything but Heineken and paper in toilet use bedside commode and change to quick dissolving toilet oapwr. No hidden costs flat rate clever because can’t be used as medical for tax deductions and no ) ant assigned for lack of receiving g services. Stomach virus staff called in sick the kitchen has been the saving Grace restyrabt style eating great kind staff food choices one of the cheapest all inclusive apts BUT SERVICES RENDERED IS ALWays filled with accommodations allowances for delay or missing services need to call front desk to get help sent for what is scheduled managers have been called in. I’m soooo done with lack of promises and scheduled services. Dining hall is always too cold and uncomfortable and far-away from most apts. WY apts. A lot of activities but residents are average age 60*over70.plumbing issues

This past year as a resident in The Willows (the assisted living for memory care) we have experienced the good and the bad of this pandemic. The good is measured in the faithful staff that comes to work and provides care. The meals always come. We can order from a menu if we choose. Activities staff is excellent. Precautions are enforced to keep residents safe from exposure to disease while making every attempt to enable family contact. The bad is how Covid has disrupted visits, curtailed group activities to some extent, sometimes kept us in our apartments. I applaud the safety measures while complaining about them. Unavoidable covid complications cost one star, probably not the fault of management. I would make the same choice to move here again.

My Mom and Dad lived at Mallard Cove on the assisted living side for nearly five years before both moving over to the The Willows Memory Care unit on the other side of the complex. I can say the care provided by the entire staff has been excellent, the meals are very good and the facility is well maintained. There are plenty of activities for everyone to be involved if they choose to be. I would recommend checking out Mallard Cove Assisted Living and The Willows Memory Care to anyone looking for an elder care facility.

An amazing level of personalized care and attention. My mother lives at the Willows Memory Care portion of Mallard Cove. The team treats her just like a family member, patient and understanding. We all have concerns when it becomes time to search out professional help, over the last six months Mallard Cove has exceeded all of my expectations.

My mother has lived at Mallard Cove for the past ten years, and I feel that she is very well cared for there. Although the aging process for many people is wrought with unexpected health challenges, the competent and personable staff at Mallard Cove has responsibly met all of Moms needs on a day-to-day basis. The staff has also been responsive to my questions and concerns, and as a result Mom has continued to enjoy life at Mallard Cove.

My parents are 90 and currently residence of Mallard Cove. The staff has been incredible with taking care of my parents and are very attentive to my parents and in reporting to me any incidents- concerns. The nursing staff could not be more pleasant and helpful with supplying medications and their contact with my parents doctors. The facility itself is very nice with several different meeting rooms and lounge areas. The apartment includes a nice size living room and full kitchen. My parents apartment also is on the ground floor with glass doors to a small patio and a view of the lake and walking path. At this time I would have to say they have done a very good job protecting my parents from Covid and it is my hopes that they remain vigilant. My parents came from a large home and have had some adjustment to living in a small apartment which I think is normal. The dining room has been closed but thats for safety at this time. The dining room and kitchen staff have also been incredibly supportive in being flexible with the food choices for my parents. There is also a memory loss facility in case it is needed and nursing home for recovery purposes.

My mother has lived at Mallard Cove for a year. We knew of this facility because my mother-in-law had lived here for several years. Thus, we already knew some of the staff. In these challenging times, the staff has been very helpful, friendly and understanding. Although not able to see many of her resident friends, my mother likes to participate in the craft and exercise activities that are offered. I am very pleased with Mallard Cove Senior Living where my sister has resided for at least two years. I love that have been very proactive protecting their resident from the threat of Covid 19. I am very fond of Paige Molina their activities director who has started video chats so that I could visit with my sister long distance. When my husband visited Ohio we made arrangements to visit with my sister outside with masks, outside from 6 feet away. She plays Bingo, and does a few crafts to have some fellowship and a change of scenery from being in her room. Everyone I have worked with about my sisters care has listened and made adjustments to her needs. I really appreciate the staff.

We moved our brother in law into Mallard Cove Senior Living this January and it was the best thing for him. He has so many more activities and fantastic food options. He is all about the food, piano and bingo!!! Most of all the staff TRULY cares about him and keeping him active during these restricted times in senior care. We feel so fortunate to have found this place for him.

Mallard Cove is a wonderful place to work! Management team gets along very well and we are well lead by our Campus Director, especially during these hard times of Covid-19. We all truly care about the residents and their families and want whats best for them. I am blessed to have such great relationships with everyone in this community! See below for a review from a family member. Its hard to live in New Jersey, with a recently widowed parent living in Cincinnati. While I cant move to the Midwest to care for Mom, I can rest easy because of the highly personal, supportive environment that Mom lives in at Mallard Cove. The staff truly cares and has done everything imaginable to mitigate the necessary quarantines for COVID-19. While they are very protective of their residents and have put in place sensible measures, they are also increasing the level of communication and responsiveness to decrease the sense of isolation. Mom and Dad lived happily at Mallard Cove for six years. Now that Dad is gone, Mom is grateful to be able to continue in a place that has become home. She speaks with such affection of the staff, from the nurses like Marie who understand her medical needs completely, to Kennedy and Don who provide meals to her in the safety of her apartment. That feeling of safety means so much to Mom... and me. Mallard Cove is a clean, friendly, happy place where the staff treat your parents as if they were their own.

My wife is an employee of Mallard Cove and I wanted to share a recent email she received from a happy family member, with the writers permission: ....I cant thank you enough for all your help with my mothers move to apartment 4309. Im happy to say that the move out is complete. Kennedy, her caregiver has been especially kind to Mom through this process. This was a tough transition for Mom after Dads death, but she is so happy in her new place and credits it all to you and your gentle guidance. To say that she is happy at Mallard Cove is an understatement, I will travel back to NJ content that my mother is in good hands. The maintenance staff was wonderful and with the exception of a minor repair, everything has been taken care of - hats off to Ryan and his very professional crew! Kudos also to Sandy at the front desk for all her assistance with conveying important information to Mom, and coordinating-disinfecting all the online purchases which arrived. She does a great job of making sure all the residents here are safe. Please take good care and on behalf of my whole family - thank you so much!~Jennifer Niehaus

Our family is so thankful to the staff at Mallard Cove. They are always attentive even making sure our father goes to bingo everyday - his favorite sport The activities are fun and there is always entertainment. Our Dad is never in his apartment, hes always doing something somewhere. Its always hard to make a decision to move your parents and to decide where to move them. The staff made the decision and transition so easy. We highly recommend Mallard Cove.

I thought Mallard Cove was a very nice and clean facility,my Aunt spent her last few weeks here before she passed. Everything here from the accommodations to the staff was very upstanding and comfortable atmosphere.

My Mom spent several months at the Willows before her recent passing- it is the memory care unit at Mallard Cove. She received the most amazing care from the staff. My family could not be more pleased with how she was treated. I would definitely recommend The Willows!

Mom is as happy as she can be, at her advanced age and state of low vision.
