I have waited 2 hours several times for someone to assist me, when pressing the button for help! I am truly grateful that it wasn't and emergency... If it was life or death... I'd be dead!!!! They talk so loudly up and down the hallway and cuss... They have no respect for the fact that this is our home. They aren't at home but at work... Who trained them; giving them the right to conduct themselves in this manner. There should be repercussions... My family will be very disappointed when I really need help and they never come... I do appreciate the nurses, Brianna and the front desk. The young lady who does my hair does a wonderful job... I put in a request for one of the maintenance men to help me with my workout machine which only took 10 minutes to put up. When they came they told me it was more important things to do then help me. I put it up myself... It is very important for me to have it for health issues; mobility and breathing... They don't know how to cook baked potatoes and the rice is not done having way too much chicken stock in it! There are good qualities just as well as they're not so good. I just wanted to voice my opinion in being here for just a few months... I do appreciate all they do... It's a very nice place to live.

I toured Woodside Senior Living with their admissions coordinator while looking for memory care for my loved one. The memory care unit was full at the time, but the coordinator was so kind and helpful going out of her way to guide me and offer other resources. The facility was clean, welcoming, and had a really caring atmosphere. Even though we couldn’t move in right away, I’d still highly recommend Woodside Senior Living to anyone looking for quality care for their loved one. Thank you

I have had the pleasure of working with Thomasine Jones in Admissions and Brianna Strothers in the Business Office these two ladies are professional, pleasant and very helpful. I work with a organization and place seniors in Assisted Living facilities all over Northeast Ohio and Woodside is one of my top picks. They continue to make needed improvements and upgrades to the building and also positive changes with the staff. Nowhere is prefect by this facility is moving in the right direction!!!! The Administrator Igor has come in and rolled up his sleeves and do whatever it takes to make positive and lasting improvements. Thank you all for your hardwork!!!

7/15/2024 Did a quick unannounced visit to the Woodside Assisted Living facility on Rockside rd. In Cleveland. It was a welcoming experience. We were just there to obtain information but the Assistant, Raydonna was very helpful with showing one of the rooms and answering our questions.

Overall, Woodside Senior Living does a very good job for their residents. The director who lives on site Monday through Friday is a leader who cares about the residents as do the pleasant and helpful staff. I thoroughly researched some 100 assisted living facilities in my surrounding area for my brother and we both agreed that this one offered the most for a resident with Medicare and/or a Medicaid assisted living waiver. From the spacious apartments not found in facilities that take the Medicaid Assisted Living waiver to the many medical and other services that are included in your rent, it is a great value. Having 24-hour-a-day nursing available helps keep my brother healthy and cared for daily. The services available at Woodside Senior Living and the spacious apartments make it a wonderful and affordable choice for your loved one. It allows them to keep their independence longer with a good support system. Woodside has spacious 1-bedroom apartments with a living room, bathroom, full kitchen, refrigerator and a screened in patio. Most assisted living facilities will not even take a patient with the Assisted Living Waiver. If they do, often the patient must have paid 2-5 years privately at thousands of dollars per month before they will take them under the waiver. Most patients with Medicaid secondary cannot pay privately for one month, let alone years. Every other place I looked at had the equivalent of one room, typically without a refrigerator or kitchen for each resident. They are conveniently located, large one floor building on a large land parcel with beautiful grounds and a community outdoor patio area. They have many activities and social events that residents may participate in. There is a library, community computers, a little store, vending machines, etc. meals, housekeeping, maintenance, laundry services, medication administration, mobility, showering and bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and psycho-social programs available. Woodside has 24-hour-a-day nursing services which is comforting for assisted living residents who don’t meet a skilled level of care required in a nursing home but may still need some help. Nurses routinely check on each patient to help keep them healthy and head off any medical issues. Many medical services are on site such as nursing, physical therapy, etc. or providers such as podiatry come to the facility which is very convenient. They will take you to doctor appointments if needed. Woodside provides a resident call button and are immediately responsive when pressed. Because they have a large Medicare/Medicaid population, your loved one with this coverage will feel at home here and the facility helps in obtaining any available benefits that could help the resident. For example, they did the therapy and paperwork to help justify an electric wheelchair for my brother which was greatly appreciated. They can be flexible in accommodating special situations. When my brother moved there, they allowed him to stay in a spare room for a couple of days at a moment’s notice while the new flooring in his apartment was being finished. Since he had a manual wheelchair at that time, they delivered his meals to him until he got to his own apartment.

Igor Elkin (Administrator) Miss Carolyn, Miss Barbara, both Ashley’s (Nurses) Kathy, Shayla, Jimmy (He even gave my Daddy a nice pair of orthopedic shoes) The entire Food and a beverage staff, the entire Nursing and Nursing Aid staff, the Facility and Maintenance staff; (I can’t remember all of those names) are and have always treated my Dad; who’s a tenant there, and us, his family with the best and utmost respect and highest regard. Handling and caring for whatever needs myself and family had as it relates to my Dad. When I visit my dad, I ask him, is he happy there, and his 1st response is that the people who run the place, do care. Some of the tenants there are however questionable, but I suppose we all have neighbors that are not always the best and share the same moral and principles that we do. The facility is beautiful and situated on the best land and lawns that area has to offer. I do wish that some upgrades could happen soon, but if not anytime soon, the place is still one of the best senior living places around. I am happy and content that we and my daddy chose this Complex for him to live. The Staff makes things a lot easier, and has always been very trustworthy. That means alot to me and my family. Thank you all for being so gracious, welcoming, and caring to the folks you all care for there. ™

Similarly to other posted reviews, my mother was transferred from a nursing home to the Woodside Memory care center. This section is staffed 24/7. Every member of the staff is professional, courteous, and compassionate. The residents are encouraged to interact with each other. There is a common area where they can gather for dining, movies, and group activities. Additionally, this facility accepts Medicaid. That process can be extremely confusing. The Director of Admissions, Aliah, was instrumental in ensuring that I was successful in navigating the process. My mother is safe and well cared for.

I recently moved my Aunt from a facility to Woodside. Aliah in Admissions coordinated the move and helped the transition to Woodside be as smooth as possible. She is so patient, kind and knowledgeable about Woodside and making the experience seamless. She is awesome and my Auntie thinks Woodside is great!

I had to find a place for my aging uncle to live, I was shown this facility via FaceTime. I decided to choose this facility after talking with the admission coordinator Aleah, who was so engaging and professional. When I went to assist my uncle with moving in everyone was very helpful. I live in another state and so I have to rely on the staff to keep me informed and updated. They have done a great job of doing so and I appreciate everyone there. My uncle has adjusted very well and I don’t worry if he’s eating or taking care of himself any more. Every staff member I have interacted with has been professional and helpful.

The staff was very nice and treated my father well during his time at Woodside. Management was also nice and very helpful. Definitely designed though for seniors without a lot of health conditions or those needing additional care.

My mom moved in to this facility 06/2017. Every month her rent statement showed a different balance which is TOTALLY FRUSTRATING. The statement doesn't tell in detail why but when I had a sit down with management and finance they told me my mom's rent will be the same thus far which was a lie. Not only did her rent amount change but her rent date was moved up as well. Almost EVERYONE says food isn't worth eating. The nurses are good and personable which makes her stay ok. I hope after this review things change for the better. Following up: Management did respond back the same day(glad about it) hopefully change will come. ————UPDATE———@ 7/14/2020 The financial rep nolonger works there and my mom's rent amount has been consistent and my mom still likes living therd.

Although I personally don't have any family members as the residents at Woodside Senior Living, I've had a pleasure visiting the facility several times. I was struck by the warmth of the place, just a welcoming homey and dynamic environment. Staff seems caring and accommodating. Some of the residents who were in the lobby were smiling and joking around. Others, in the dining room, were keeping busy, playing cards and bingo. One big family. This seems to be the place one would trust to help care for the loved one.
