It has been a difficult decision placing mom in assisted living but the staff at Heritage Crossing has been wonderful! Hannah Mack is top notch!! She is so caring and considerate. She is always available to assist mom in her transition at Heritage. I can count on her to help me navigate mom’s needs. The staff is always friendly and caring no matter the time of day I visit. I highly recommend Heritage Crossing for caring for your loved one!!

I had a while ago given a bad review based on some financial decisions. I have since thought about it and realize what a great place it is. The staff is super friendly and helpful. My mom is comfortable and very happy. The new chef has made some changes in the menu that she seems to love. Place is clean and nursing staff has been excellent!

We made the best decision for my dad when we moved him to Heritage Crossing. He was diagnosed with dementia a year ago and at first in a different memory care facility. Heritage Crossing has been incomparable. Patsy, in particular, has been absolutely invaluable to our family. She goes above and beyond in every sense. From helping my dad transition smoothly into the facility, to communicating consistently with me and my family, Patsy shows an exceptional level of attention and care. Despite her many responsibilities”caring for the other residents, managing her team”her dedication never wavers. What stands out the most is Patsy’s deep knowledge and expertise in caring for dementia patients. Her understanding of the disease, combined with her passion for providing the best care possible, is evident in everything she does. She’s not just a caregiver; she’s a true leader who inspires her team to deliver top-notch care to every resident. My family and I are incredibly grateful for Patsy and for Heritage Crossing. The difference they’ve made in my dad’s quality of life is immeasurable, and we couldn’t ask for a better place for him to receive care.

I reviewed heritage crossing a little more than a year ago as my husband left Greenfield Estates ( very poor care ) and entered the HC memory care unit. Now after being with Heritage Crossing for a while I want to update that review. I can honestly say this residence has lived up to all I hoped it would be. The workers At every level are courteous, kind, and welcoming. As you enter heritage crossing you instantly sense a warm homey environment and after visiting many facilities,I must say this is rare. They make a real effort to provide a welcoming atmosphere, As I update my review I feel it important to mention that Memory care has a relatively new director, and her name is Patsy Hewitt. She is outstanding and a real asset. Patsy has had many years of experience and truly cares for each resident and their particular circumstances. she lets you know no job is too big and whatever the situation she will figure it out and fix it . Patsy is very professional and truly cares about the work that she does .it’s such hard work and you just can’t say thankyou too many times. When u find someone that sincerely cares as Patsy does it truly puts one at easewe are so lucky to have her. As we all know without good leadership, everything falls apart .we have that leader ship in memory care under Patsy’s direction.. I hope she is a part of the heritage crossing family for a long time. We also have excellent aides Intimately taking care of the residents on a daily basis. One In particular that stands out for me is Alexa. She is the warmest sweetest most loving person with each resident and I can particularly say with my husband. Alexa has been employed at Heritage Crossing from the very beginning when my husband entered. She has a soft, sweet manner that helps you to worry less about your loved one because you know she cares. Thank you Alexa. There are many others .too many to mention by name, but heritage crossing seems to choose their workers very carefully. Yes, there are improvements that can be made as we all know. No place is perfect. Heritage crossing constantly works toward improving their service for those that make this their new home., overall I still highly recommend this home away from home.

My sister and I have housed our older brother at HC for nearly a year after his major stroke in Assisted Living Memory Care and are grateful for his excellent care by the caring and friendly staff. He is very happy here and calls it "home" when we return from an outing. The meals are very nutritious and prepared by an excellent chef! We highly recommend HC!

I am very pleased with our experience at Heritage Crossings, Assisted Living. They've worked effectively in helping our family member adjust, in a positive way, to yet another facility, as he recovers his strength and independence after a debilitating illness. He feels like a team member, being able to verbalize his ideas and worries. He feels secure and looked after by knowledgeable, caring professionals. He enjoys the dining experience, available snacks, and having his own kitchenette, too. He enjoys his physical therapy and is absolutely getting stronger each day. The administrative staff is accessible and becomes involved in ways that encourage pleasure, a positive sense of wellbeing, and success. I am a nurse with high standards for care, especially for our aging population, who has provided so much to others throughout their lives. I'm very thankful to go I into an attractive, clean facility, where the staff and administration are respectful of family and pets, too. Heritage Crossings, in Montrose, wins my 5 stars.

My mother lived here for almost 4 years. I have nothing but good things to say about Heritage Crossing. The facility is very clean, the staff are friendly and caring. Communication with family is excellent. If a concern arose, it was addressed promptly and professionally. They have a lot of activities and outings for the residents. My mom was here because I couldn’t provide the care that she needed. I was able to sleep peacefully at night knowing that she was in good hands!

My mom has been at Heritage Crossing for a little over a year now in the independent care unit! I cannot say enough about Julie and her nursing staff! They have gone above and beyond to help us when needed! The aides that work with my mom are also amazing! I cannot thank them enough for what they do! They understand my mom her needs and her personality! Kristi the activities coordinator has made life so enjoyable for the residents especially my mother! They have a relationship that I am very thankful for! Kristi and Stacy do their best to keep the residents active and full of life!

My mother has been a resident in the memory care side of this facility for over a year now. Since we placed her there, they have changed management staff at least twice, which is why I only gave it 4 stars. I will praise the quality of the food and the empathy and involvement of the nurses I have met in the memory care neighborhood. I know that the residents have open access to the courtyard/garden area outside freely during daylight hours, as long it is not inclement weather. They are very good at keeping my mother engaged in community activities and occasional outings. Even though she doesn't remember them later, she enjoys herself at the time. We visited many facilities before placing her here, and this was one of the best three. This wasn't the cheapest, but wasn't comparatively expensive, either. and, at least when my mother moved in, even if there wasn't a roommate in a semi-private apartment, they only charged the semi-private rate.

UPDATE as of 9/14/2023 - Very happy to hear that the new management is the original management, as my dad was one of the first batch of residents. So my father passed while here, in december of 2021. He was in the memory care side, as well as in hospice. Covid was the cause of death.. looking back, heritage crossing was still the best choice for my dad..the staff was always doing their best for the residents, even when short staffed. The time of covid put an unbelieveable amount of stress on everyone, and the leadership had to deal with conflicting info from the state, a labor shortage, and of course balance all of that with the needs of the families and residents.. I saw many families be very abusive towards the staff, over things like having to wear a mask, and the staff was always professional.. nobody intentionally ignored a resdient, and I was there every day, so I know more than most.. bottom line is I would pick heritage again if I had to do it over, and I still give them my highest recommendation. My original review: My dad has been here since october of 2019, the staff is amazing, his dog buster is able to live with him, and he's very happy. The food is great, the place is always clean and all of my dad's medical needs are met, and that is important because he's diabetic, and is in the early stages of alzheimers.. they are patient and kind with him no matter what.. Directors and managers are very responsive to any questions, and all the aides and nurses bend over backwards to accomoadate.. I give them my highest recommendation and praise. thanks for all you do.

Comming from a background in Senior housing, I was eager to tour Heritage Crossing. This place does not disappoint on several different levels. The exterior is beautiful with abundant flowers and bushes. I noticed raised beds to encourage their residents to plant and participate in the landscape. I toured several apartments. More than adequate space for downsizing seniors. Personal mailboxes for each resident, such a nice touch. I had lunch at the community. What a treat! SERIOUSLY good food. The Memory Care area is large. Such a treat to see adequate space for memory impared folks to thrive. The Bath/ Fairlawn area is blessed to have such an community within their reach

Today I witnessed one of the staff hugging a resident that was crying and saying that she wanted to go home. This just melted my heart.

Morgan who gave us our tour of the facility was very personable and Kimberly and her together had much advice and insight and also showed us a great deal of empathy for the decision that we were making I would live here which made the decision to choose for a loved one so much easier.

I just spent 3 weeks at Heritage Crossing recovery from my foot surgery. The service they provided me was great. I had 24 hour service just a push of a button away. The food was decent. Three meals a day and delivery to my room since I couldn’t walk. They were willing to assist me down to the dining room if I wanted. But I had everything right in my little apartment, and it was easier on my recovery. All was good!
