The stockholders / corporate management need to make an unscheduled visit to the facility I've lived in since August of '25. This facility is a lawsuit waiting to happen. 6 designated emergency exits have been blocked for the past 8 days. Blocked as in the event of a fire or similar emergency, people, even those not handicapped due to age of illness, will be found in a pile in front of the EMERGENCY EXIT. HEADLINES! Additionally, Buffalo has a rich history of abundant snow accumulation and the excuse that the snow blocking these emergency doors is "not our problem because we have a sevice that is supposed to do that!" That won't be much comfort when grandma falls and breaks a hip because the snow that is 6" - 8" deep on the public sidewalks hat has not been shoveled in days say nothing done to salt the ice build-up even at the front main entrance door. My apartment has not been cleaned as described in your sales brochure more than 6 times since I've lived here....over 4 months. The corridors always have debris, rubber gloves and food....always. Shame.

We cannot say enough about the staff; Cheryl (front desk), the cleaning crew, of course Larry (maintenance)! Everyone has made Mom feel loved, important and at home. Of course, the food and not enough wait staff has always been an issue, but lately Mom's been very happy with the new chef and wait staff (especially her favorite, King). She loves it here. Thank you all for being so kind and patient with her as we make the next step to a higher level of care, which will be a smooth transition for Mom, right there at Amberleigh. We can't wait to see the new renovations!!

I recently visited with my parents several hours a day over 4 consecutive days. Our family chose this facility based on the previous ratings, healthcare services provided and a personal tour. Unfortunatley, during the time my parents have lived there, the quality of the facility and services is not what was promised or expected. As noted, there is a significant ongoing issue with not only the quality of the food, but also the quantity of food provided. There have been multiple lead chefs over the past two years. Currently, there are no glasses or silverware pre-placed on the dining tables, residents have to wait several minutes to receive them. Secondly, the facility is dirty and is not being kept up. Over the four days I visited, the dirt, garbage and paper that was on the floor day 1 was still on the floor day 4 days later. One of the doorways going to the back parking lot has a rotted out doorframe. The resident hallways smell terrible, and the hallway carpets are disgusting and stained. While we were told my parent’s apartment would receive weekly cleanings, this is inconsistent and many times consists of only a light dusting. My parents have to request that their bathroom/toilettes are scrubbed while the cleaning person is there, otherwise it doesn’t happen. We expected yearly apartment carpet cleanings, this hasn’t happened. My family members reached out to the facility administrator, Sarah, on several occasions. She is not responsive, routinely taking 3-5 business days to get back to us, even when the questions are pertaining to important health care concerns. There are some really good employees at Amberleigh, but based on what we are seeing, there seems to be a leadership miss. We fully realize finding passionate, hard-working employees may be difficult, but there are still local graduated care communities that are solving these problems while still maintaining the care that was promised to the residents and maintaining a clean, safe living environment. It’s time for Amberleigh’s corporate office, Sonida Senior Living, which is a publicly traded company, to invest their money in the facilities they own and staffing them appropriately, instead of focusing on buying more communities to build their portfolio’s market value.

My father just moved into the location on Maple Road in the Greater Buffalo Area, and I find the staff I've run into to be pleasant and courteous, the ground reasonably clean, and the residents friendly. Personally, I think the apartments are a little small, but satisfactory for the aged population (as in, much easier to maintain). My only negative observation is that he's been there over a week and housekeeping has not come by to clean, which I was told is a weekly service.

Our family is extremely pleased with our decision to place my Mom in the care of Amberleigh. With Mom coming from Florida after the recent hurricane, we were grateful to have Joy Crawford guiding and supporting us through the difficult time. Joy was accessible, patient, and took the time to answer any and all of our questions. She helped us through the entire process and helped to ensure Mom's transition was as easy and comfortable as possible. Joy's professionalism and sincerity, along with the competent and caring nursing staff of Magnolia Trails, we are truly grateful for Amberleigh and will continue to share our wonderful experience with others.

Visited my 90-year-old godparents in their independent-living apartment. Lovely place, but the cleaning staff is doing a terrible job. The bathroom floor was filthy and dusty, with spiders in the corners, and the shower needs a good scrub! The public areas were neat and brightly lit, reception was busy but welcoming. The most impressive senior living facility I’ve seen (and I’ve seen at least 6 or 7).

We chose Amberliegh for our parents because it felt like a safe option. The staff is always available and willing to help. We have seen recent negative changes in cleanliness and food choices. Often the meals are not edible. They are overcooked, filled with starchy sides and small in size. The level of cleanliness has deteriorated. There is a broken pipe in the ceiling of a hallway with water dripping into a large garage can. This has remained unrepaired for 4 weeks. It's a shame because we really liked Amberliegh but we are increasingly becoming discouraged. We are hoping to see a positive change or we we have to find a new residence for our parents. This review does not reflect on the care for the staff. They are always friendly and attentive. This is a direct result of corporate neglect. So sad.

Apartments are spacious and clean, staff is warm and friendly, decent activities. Overall, this is a good situation for our Mother. However, the food/dining situation has become a significant issue over the past few months. Most nights, our Mom throws away her dinner because it is so bad. Portions are tiny and the quality of the food is very poor. Also, management is eliminating pickup option for meals and charging $5 to drop off which was not part of the original agreement. Having meals provided was one of the major reasons we chose Amberleigh. If the food and dining situation doesn't improve, we have to consider another option.

Visited 3 times in August, friend just moved in. Apt very clean, cheerful. Just noticed steam between thermopanes in living.rm. Also heardvfrom.a few folks, food leavescmuch to be desired. Hot foods never hot. Meats, chicken, pork, beef, dry and tough to chew, overcooked. Veges taste canned. Nothing fresh? Seems to me, with $ charged per month , meals should be equal to any good local restaurant! Try for better quality and temp of food and drinks. Serving with lids, over plates, would help.

Check-in is much less hassle now than previously. Driveways and parking areas need a LOT of work! It's challenging for a younger person, I can't imagine it's easy for residents, especially at night.

I just admitted my mom there. The staff has been so kind and supportive. I worked a lot with Joy in the business office to work through the process of moving my mom out of her home and into Amberleigh. She was knowledge, kind, supportive, and understanding about how difficult this transition can be. I highly recommend the Amberleigh for aging parents.

We just got our Dad moved in today. He is loving his new apartment. The staff could not have been more helpful. Gloria at the front desk always with a smile and a kind encouraging word. Craig and his staff going above and beyond taking care of a couple last minute requests to make sure Dad is safe. Let me not forget the staff in the dinning room for all your patient attention to all the residents. Overall 5 star plus.

Our Mom loves living here; she has her own apartment, loves the chef meals, the endless programs, transportation and in house hair salon! I work as a social worker with seniors and can honestly say that this place is a dream. Love the set up that if there ever is a need for a higher level of care it's right there. My mom lives here. Her apartment is really nice, the activities are usually pretty good, they do light house keeping, change sheets and vacuum. Most things here we are very happy with. The food, however is mostly awful! It’s often cold and much of the time Mom ends up eating soup or a sandwich in her apartment. The elderly tend to live for the meals so it’s sad they can’t hire a decent chef so they have enjoyable food.

The new sign in procedure takes too long. The dining room is understaffed and my mother has to eat in her room when not enough people show up. The rates have increased significantly and it is becoming unaffordabe for people with fixed incomes. They have gone through four or five directors in the past five years.

Myself along with my parents toured Amberleigh this past Saturday and we were greeted by everyone with a smile. Justin our tour guide was patient and very knowledgeable of the Independent Living Area including the activities and everyone we encountered he greeted by name.I just spoke with Elain and we look forward to my parents living a healthy and long life there. .
