After they DROPPED our mother - the summary of chart read: When helping resident to chair patient stated -I can't walk anymore (Because she was in a wheelchair and couldn't walk) Resident then dropped to her knees. Me and the aide lowered her to the floor...she then leaned her head to the side and hit her head on the floor. EMTs were called.... A large purple bruise was noted to left shoulder. THEY DROPPED HER- and then when I made a formal complaint they offered us $5000 to settle and then took nearly a year to give us the Elderwood records & when we finally said we'd settle (we didn't want to continue relive the tragedy of this nightmare nursing home through a lawsuit ) - suddenly their unscrupulous lawyer took the offer off the table. So I guess they won't get a gag order from us! It was so bad there that mom would ask me to send candy or cake for her to use to bribe the staff to help her go to the bathroom, and even though she was in a wheelchair, she would call my sister from the bathroom on multiple occasions to call the facility to ask for help, stuck in there waiting for help...so many times... I guess they have staffing issues - but had no staffing problem collecting thousands upon thousands for what I would consider horrendous care. My mother spent her life as a professor - and they treated her, in my opinion as nothing more than a source of income. I can't believe anyone would trust these people with their loved one:( WHY CAN"T ZERO STARS BE A CHOICE?

My grandpa lives here currently. The nurses have been nothing but kind to him

Short term rehab for dementia patient relative was terrible. Moved her out next day. No AC, ventilation or air quality. Poor, indifferent attitude of some of staff. Dirty carpets and overall needs significant updating. Bathroom had leftover matter from previous patient after cleaning. Would not send anyone I love there.

The enhanced assisted living has been great for my Mom. Wonderful community, my Mom is really enjoying living here.
