Reviews The Bristal at West Babylon
August 2024
My father is very happy at the West Babylon Bristal. The entire staff has been so friendly and attentive that he and his family have been very pleased with his smooth transition. The availability of in house medical doctors is huge as he does not drive and family can't always accommodate his medical appointments. The place is beautiful, clean, and well designed. We could not be happier with our decision to move him there.

Bristal in West Babylon is the champion of facilities. The staff here is above exceptional and shows empathy to all residents. They treat everyone who walks through their doors like family. I am beyond thrilled that this is the facility I chose for my father to call home. Thank you to the Bristal family. You allow me peace of mind that my father is safe and cared for!

I'm not a big "review"er but I'm more than happy to write this one. There is actually too many nice things to say and too many people to thank but I need to say a special thank you to Christine for always greeting me with a smile but more importantly for consistently going above and beyond her duties as an employee of The Bristal. For taking a genuine interest in my Aunt Caroline and perhaps most importantly for being her friend. I appreciate it and I know how much my Aunt appreciates which is more than you could know ... Thank you Christine. Thank you to Natasha for your leadership, patience and knowledge and for always listening. I know you must be very busy yet you always make time for emails and conversations. I appreciate all of it. And thank you to the entire staff for all that you do to make the Bristal a comfortable, clean, caring and safe home for my Aunt. I notice all the little things you do and it reminds me daily of how lucky we are to have found The Bristal of West Babylon. With much appreciation, Vinni

My father has lived in The Bristal at West Babylon for almost 5 years, and during this time, I have watched my father thrive. The staff treat my father with kindness and respect and truly care about him. The Bristal is a beautiful place and the overall feel is one of a true community. The daily activities are exceptional. Housekeeping (including laundry) and maintenance is remarkable - everything is clean and well cared for. According to my father, "everyone works hard here, they really do their best!". As a daughter, it gives me great peace of mind that my dad is happy living in The Bristal at West Babylon community.
August 2023
My parents moved to the Bristal two years ago in difficult circumstances following an automobile accident. My mother needed a great deal of care and attention and our family cannot thank the staff at the Bristal enough for their patience and compassion. Since my mother's passing, my father continues to live at the Bristal where he is is very happy. The care management staff, initially Christine and now Angelina, go out of their way to see that my dad is involved in the community and that his medical care is well coordinated. Communication with our family is excellent. I have a mother in law in a similar AL in Florida so i have a good frame of comparison and the difference in the two situations is striking. I can only say that the the staff, facility, and management at he Bristal West Babylon has made our family feel comfortable and safe with our parent in their care.

The Bristal at West Babylon has been a game changer for our family, specifically for my mom. Coming back to NY unexpectedly from a short stint in SC, we had no idea where she would live. After the very first visit and an extensive tour, we spent time with Christine Antolini-Ortiz, Director of Community Relations. She helped mom through her tears and made her feel so comfortable with this next chapter in her life. Christine and Karen Curtin, Coordinator of Community Relations, were angels from heaven. They worked their magic to secure a beautiful apartment at the Bristal for mom within a week's time. They helped us through all of the processes and made the transition seamless. Fast forward... Mom is living her best life at the Bristal West Babylon. She's made new friends and is involved in daily activities. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND families consider this wonderful assisted living community for their loved ones. Special thanks to Christine and Karen-the Dynamic Duo!

Dear Natasha, I wanted to take the time out to write you on behalf of my parents, Connie & Noel Brandel, and the rest of my family. We recently moved my parents into the The Bristal at West Babylon. Your staff has gone above and beyond in helping them make this transition from an Independent Living Facility. To name just a few of those that helped: Christine, Angelina, Karen, Luis, Adam and many others. It's evident that your facility is dedicated to hiring, training and retaining caring and competent employees. We have had a prior experience with another well-known and respected elder care facility and the difference in your approach to caring for residents is more than apparent. This is a testament to your approach and motivation for providing such a positive, helping and caring experience for those we love very much. My family and I sleep much better now that we know they are under your care. We can thank you enough! Tom

We highly recommend The Bristal West Babylon to anyone in need and will cherish our time there.

I was worried about checking my mother in after our father passed, but I can whole heartedly say this was the best decision I could make for her We call a few times a week and she's always telling me how much she loves it there, the place is beautiful and clean, the residents are so friendly and inviting, shes made so many friends, the staff are great, they take great care of her, they do her laundry, the chef makes great food ... oh how the list goes on It means alot to have peace of mind that my mother is in good hands, better than anything I couldve provided for h

My mom has been residing at The Bristal in West Babylon since 2021 and it was the best decision she could've made. It's such a safe, cheerful environment with the greatest staff. They have plenty of activities and the staff that coordinates them can't be beat. The director, Natasha, is very friendly, attentive and approachable with both the residents and the families, as is LoriLynn, the Wellness Director. Thanks to them, our family has so much less stress. It's so reassuring knowing my mom is in such capable hands -Lynn Giordan

Beautiful place to work, with wonderful staff and great work environment. This is the first job I've ever truly enjoyed, they truly treat staffing with care. The residents are some of the kindest and sweetest people you'll ever meet.
December 2020
I had my mom there. The place is very nice and the food is good. People are friendly who work there. The one problem and it was a big one, was the doctor they used for the facility. He is a quack. I am in charge of everything for mom including medical. He put my mom on a anti depressant when she was on one already. So now she was on 2 anti depressants. Nobody told me about this or asked me. Before I took her out of there she was like a zombie. I brought her to a place by me and they took her off the meds. She is so clear now. Like a different person. Also about 2 weeks after she was out of there I got her Medicare statement and he put in for 6 physical therapy treatments which she didnt get. If you bring your parents there it's all good but do not let the doctor near your loved ones. Use their own doctor. He is a thief and the pits.
July 2020
The staff is wonderful with my mom at this assisted living. However, I observed the director talking to a pregnant nursing supervisor and the tone of the conversation was very inappropriate. I witnessed this behavior more than once by the same director to the same supervisor. Directors should be more aware of how they talk to their employees. I don't want this to have an effect on my mom's care.
March 2020
My daughter works there for some time now and she loves it. The management is great she said and the residents are a doll. She is very happy there and is looking forward to growing with the company.
August 2019
My father moved to the Bristal West Babylon from another local Assisted Living Facility, because he liked the Linen tablecloths and "real" napkins. They had just opened and the place was and remains absolutely beautiful. Dad wasn't really cut out for assisted living life when he moved in as he was quite independent, stubborn, and sometimes a bit grouchy. The staff would have none of it and worked on him tirelessly to get him more involved. In short order we witnessed quite a change as dad was no longer available because of the afternoon poker game, the field trips to all sorts of destinations, and other Bristal scheduled events. We were relived, happy, and even a bit surprised at the change they were able to make as he seemed to now embrace the assisted living experience. We were happy since his medications were monitored and dispensed and with the fantastic dining room he was eating more healthy than he had in years. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff, I just do not know where to start. From the people that maintain the facility, the medical staff, the dining staff, I could go on for way too long with compliments about all of them. My original thoughts of Assisted Living in general were of my grandmother basically locked in a nursing home for her last years. The Bristal opened my eyes to an entire new concept and I would without hesitation recommend the West Babylon Bristal to anyone looking for assisted living for themselves or a relative.

I have made lifelong friends here at The Bristal at West Babylon! I was so concerned at first about living here and adjusting to the change. But I realized I had nothing to be concerned about at all! Living here was the best choice! I'm always busy with activities and trips! I'm enjoying my time so much here! I've learned so many news things such as bingo, arts and crafts, and so much more! The staff is so wonderful and kind I never have to worry about a thing! The Bristal at West Babylon is better than you could possibly imagine!
December 2018
The Bristal at West Babylon is inclusive, caring, comfortable, and capable. Nearly every individual whom I have encountered, takes a personal interest in responsibility for care. It is, without a doubt, a diamond in the rough for an assisted living community in Long Island.

Our Mom moved into the Bristal over a year ago & loved it from day one .The staff & the residents have become her second family. If we don't call her at 7;30 am we can't reach her until the evening. She is busy playing cards, attending workshops, siniging in the choir or just chatting with her friends. My brothers & I feel secure knowing that she is surrounded by so many caring people. Thank you to everyone at the Bristal West Babylon.- Lisa Benzakein
October 2018
I've been working at The Bristal at West Babylon for over a year now as a recreation assistant and I couldn't imagine working for another company! The staff from the beginning have always gone above and beyond to take care of the residents day to day needs no matter what. The staff bring so much joy and entertainment to the day to day lives of these residents its truly beautiful to see! I would have my grandparents move in here in a second if they lived closer! Choosing The Bristal at West Babylon is the right choice for any family! You couldn't go wrong here!
October 2018
Many people speak of how beautiful The Bristal is and that is true. To us it was the beauty of the staff and residents that made this community a place to call home. Selecting a community for your loved one is not an easy thing to do. When we walked in and met with Lisa D. we knew that Bristal was the perfect place for Mom. Lisa was and continues to be so involved and caring. She adequately explained everything and helped us along the way in getting Mom transferred from rehab to the Bristal. Lisa and Lori Lynn caught mistakes in medications that the rehab overlooked. No matter what time (even on her days off) - Lisa was available to us and always made us feel as if Mom was her number one priority. I feel she is my friend and not the Director of Community Relations. The Wellness Center is wonderful. It is such a relieve to know that they are right on site and can take of her needs immediately. We were often running around trying to get Mom to the audiologist for her hearing aides or to the podiatrist for her feet and so on. This can all be taken care of without us having to make appointments and get her to a doctor's office. Mom lived alone and was independent but we would often get that dreaded phone call from Life Alert that she fell. It would feel like hours until we got to her. Now we can rest a bit easier knowing that if something should happen - someone will be there within seconds. The activities are abundant and there is a mix of everything. Mom hasn't been there for the Winter months yet but we are happy to know that she won't be stuck in her house not doing anything because she can't go out due to the weather. She has everything right there! It's nice that they have buses to take them to the banks, stores and restaurants. It helps to make them feel more independent. Within the first day that we brought her there - everyone knew her name! They welcomed us with open arms. They even called us to let us know how she was doing and if we had any questions. How thoughtful to help put our minds at ease. Donna and Ann at the front desk - so friendly and helpful! Victor in maintenance - so quick and efficient to help with anything! Kayanna in wellness - lovely! The wait staff in the restaurant - couldn't be more accommodating! Lisa and Lori Lynn - words can't express how thankful we are for them. I already told them that they have been the rainbow in our cloud! Please look past the beauty of the place and see the beauty of the people inside. That is what makes the Bristal a home.
