Promenade at Tuxedo Place – Reviews
January 2023
The Promenade is one the best assisted living homes that I have ever visited. My mom lived there for 6 years and loved her private room, the people, and the facility. It was her home away from the home she left behind. Thank you.

Christine at the Promenade has been an absolute Angel!! She has followed through with every question and concern that we’ve had. Mom has lived there for two months now. She is thriving. She loves her apartment! It’s adorable. Mom also loves the help she receives from her caregivers. She says they are delightful! She has improved so much from when she moved in until now. She’s getting the exercise she needs and is enjoying friendships that we’re unavailable at home. She was a shut-in during COVID as we all were. She had no stimulation. Now her dance card is full! From crafts to watching movies with her peers. They also bring in entertainment for the residents which she absolutely loves! She says they are fantastic! She enjoys a happy hour with a glass of wine and friendships. She’s also enjoying so much, the social aspect of the community. She has always been a social butterfly and now she’s just like her old self! It’s so comforting to our family. She can also get a visit from our dog whom she loves! If you’re considering assisted living for your loved one, definitely ask for Christine to give you a tour of the community. You and your loved one will feel like it’s home! May God Bless you all!

I knew I made the right decision soon after my first Greet and Meet with Director of Marketing, Linda Mileto. Her listening ears, her compassion for the work she does is very clearly shown. My Father in law , whom is a very STUBBORN Italian became ill suddenly and he was not accepting going into a facility whatsoever...long story short, he was placed in a facility that he DID NOT like at all, he became very depressed, arrogant and wouldnt even leave his room. Hed lay in his bed, in the dark, days on in..thats when I knew I had to make a change.I did some research for replacement for him and I called the Promenade in Tuxedo and was directed to Linda, it was like the Best Day of my Life ! Linda and the entire Staff welcomed him warm smiles and open arms. Seeing the Smile on his face was PRICELESS..Its been over 2 months now, and my Father in Law can not speak enough good things about the ENTIRE STAFF...He LOVES it here...!!! If you are ever in the situation where you have to place your loved ones in someone elses care...look no further, Promenade in Tuxedo is where you want them to be !!! Signed by a very GRATEFUL Daughter in law 🙂

I am writing to express the tremendous gratitude from myself and my family to the staff at the Promenade at Tuxedo Place. My father, Fred, became a resident on July 4,2019. From the initial visit and consultation with Marion and Sadie, we were blown away by the incredible compassion, professionalism and attention to every detail by these amazing ladies. The fact that the facility is in Tuxedo where my father has lived since 1962 was a big plus to him. The icing on the cake was when he found out that Sadie lived in Bergenfield, again a strong family connection to that town. From the very first meeting, my father was put at tremendous ease by the staff who answered his every question and showed a sincere concern for him and his situation. Fred had been living alone for over 30 years but was unable to continue doing some of the day to day tasks he required. It was a huge step to get him to agree to even consider moving out of his home, the staff at the Promenade really went above and beyond to make sure he was put at ease. The move in process was painless with every accommodation made even when Fred wanted to change rooms at the last moment…no problems… Once moved in, the staff was incredibly patient helping Fred adjust to his new surroundings Hes stubborn, and opinionated…to say the least and lacks a filter for most social situations. The staff couldnt have been more understanding of all his quirks…..Alice really worked on Fred and he developed a sincere affection for her and her unwavering commitment to each resident. Fred isnt much for group activities, and stated as such on numerous occasions. That fact did not deter the staff from going above and beyond to keep him in the loop and aware of the goings on. Then Covid hit, while so many Senior facilities were devastated by this evil menace, The outstanding staff at the Promenade again rose to the challenge and worked tirelessly to ensure resident safety and comfort…some struggled with the social isolation Im sure. But Fred having lived alone for 30 years was the original social distancer….he had no issue thanks to the care and attention of the staff. A series of medical issues unrelated to anything at the Promenade caused him to leave for extended hospitalizations and rehab. As a result, he is unable to return to the place he called home. As with any business, there have been staffing changes during my Dads stay here...but i saw no noticeable decline in the level of care or compassion and dedication shown by the staff. I have no issue recommending this facility to another family...I have seen many and the Promenade at Tuxedo Place outshines them all....

We moved my brother to Promenade at Tuxedo several months ago and couldnt be happier. When we took a tour, it was immediately clear that the staff was fully engaged with the residents and EVERYONE seemed happy! It had taken my brother a long time to participate in activities at his last residence, mainly staying in his room. At Promenade, within a week he was an active participant in the many activities offered. The facility is clean and beautiful, with many lovely areas for the residents, both indoors and out. The food looks (and according to my brother, is) great. I recommend it highly.

Toured the facility meeting with Sajie & Marion . Both extremely helpful in explaining all the details. Great facility with lovely residents. Besides the location not being conducive, overall the place felt Ike a home.

My mother in law had a hip fracture and some complications after and could not go home. She went very hestiantly to The Promenade at Tuxedo Place. It was the best decision!! She is doing great, has met many friends and enjoys all the social activities and events!! All the staff are so accommodating. They are all smiles- so warm and friendly- especially Marion G and Antonina. Also, the food -excellent!! I would highly recommend The Promenade at Tuxedo Place

I visited the Promenade with my wife and father-in-law, and was truly impressed by the staff and facilities. Marion gave us a wonderful tour and was warm and made my father in law so comfortable. Ultimately, the location was a little too far for us, but everyone should check this place out!

My mother-in-law was a resident at the Promenade for a year and a half. We found the staff to be attentive, friendly and very caring. It gave us piece of mind to know all of her needs were being taken care of. Would certainly recommend this facility for a loved one.

My father has been at The Promenade at Tuxedo since December & seeing him so happy & thriving there has made this decision so much easier! From our first visit with Sadie to present all staff members have gone out of their way to embrace each resident as a family member. Their support, encouragement, caring & friendliness are consistently demonstrated at all levels of personnel. We particularly liked the "homey" feeling that a smaller facility provides & couldn't be happier with our choice! Thanks to all there for always making the effort!!!

One of the most difficult decisions in our lives is how best to help our parents as they age. I began the search for a place for my mom and was overwhelmed. I looked at many places and they all offered many good options. But trying to decide based on what's the best fit and honestly what works financially was agonizing. When I called the Promenade at Tuxedo I was charmed by the warmth and knowledge of the director Marion Giordano. Marion made me feel like a family member and that was the moment I felt at peace and safe making the decision to place mom there. While this phase in our parents lives is a very difficult time I am happy to say my mom's stay of 3 years here was blessed.
