Daytime staff is great and attend to your needs. Evening/overnight staff could care less. They act like you're bothering them. I would never recommend Luxor.

The entry computer yields invaluable information for covid tracing and is a great control of traffic entering the facility..far better than paper forms and hand held temperature checks..takes some getting use to but it insures safety of residents staff and visitors which is parmont !

I just wanted to thank the rehabilitation staff at the Luxor at Sayville. My 89 year old dad had to stay for 3 weeks and he was able to go from not being able to stand on his own to leaving with just a walker for support and now is back to just a cane. They worked him hard but not too hard!! The staff also has activities for the people so they are not just sitting in their rooms for the other 23 hours a day. I found them to be pleasant, responsive to the patients' needs and professional. No one wants to be in a rehabilitation center but if you have to be in one, I would highly recommend rehab at Luxor in Sayville. A special thank you to the director Angela and the concierge Kim, they were awesome!! As in any facility, you must advocate for your loved one. I think some of the negative reviews are older as I believe the management has changed.

My sister has been a patient at Luxor since 2018. I have visited many times at different times of the day and have found my sister's care to be top notch. You walk in and it never has that instution smell that many have. My sister is always neat and clean and comfortable. Contact with procedures or updates are always current. I have great respect for the staff and all they do. Of course sometimes staff is limited yet the seem to cover everything. I am very pleased we chose Luxor.

I love this place. I love the way staff took care of my father. They earned my trust, they were a delight and I got to say God is in this place. They were caring, sympathetic, and always ready to help. I saw them hands on with my dad. They were easy to talk to and even my dad would tell me they were kind and very helpful. This place is so commendable that if I ever get to live in a nursing home, this would definitely be the place I'd want to be with all these beautiful angels. Thank you so much Luxor at Sayville for taking good care of my dad. God bless you and may peace, joy, LOVE ever abound in this place.. You are highly commendable..

My 89-year-old mother fell and broke 3 ribs. She rehabbed at Luxor. The staff was extremely pleasant the food was very good as well. They were very diligent with the rehab process. I would highly recommend them!

From my first phone call to Angela in admissions at Luxor looking for a place for my Mom, the staff at Luxor has been phenomenal. Everyone has been so caring, going above and beyond to care for her with love and consideration. The direct care staff has been very communicative and accommodating. I am grateful to have found such a wonderful place for her.

I do not write reviews but the recent photos of Luxor at Sayville are NOT accurate representations. At all. If looking for a place for your loved ones, please ask to see other rooms...and absolutely ask to go upstairs. Demand it. You will then get a better idea of what it's really like. Hallways barren and depressing. It would cost Luxor nothing to ask a local art school or high school art dept. to create some uplifting artwork free of charge for the rooms and hallways. But they remain blank and sad. For the Luxor price tag, management should be more concerned with the quality of life for their residents. They are indeed short-staffed, but small changes such as this take little effort and barely, if any, cost.
