My father just spent his first week living at Legacy at Maiden Park in Rochester, NY and we couldn't be happier. Dad is 97 years old and needs a lot of support to get through the day. His aides at Legacy reflect caring and competence as they assist him throughout the day with tasks such as dressing, bathing, eating, and grooming. Every aide we've met has been kind, patient, and friendly. They encourage Dad to take part in daily activities and engage him in conversation. He never feels like a burden, rather the staff makes him feel appreciated and important. The directors and nursing staff are easy to reach and very supportive. The residence is clean and attractive, more like an upscale hotel than an assisted living facility. Thank you Legacy for making dad's move to assisted living a great experience!

My mom has been at Legacy At Maiden Park for 10 months. Mom is comfortable and happy in her new community. Seeing her happy takes a huge burden off of me, as well as how ALL the staff that warmly welcomes us every time we go to visit mom. Communication with administration and staff is 100% and that is a huge plus. Mom is not treated like a patient, she is treated with compassion and friendship. Mom refers to the employees as her friends and smiles when she talks about the conversations she had with them. All the socializing and friendships created is what has made mom refer to Legacy as home. That alone, is what makes me recommend Legacy at Maiden Park.

I had no experience in memory care facilities before finding Legacy at Maiden Park. Jak and the staff made the transition easy for everyone. Perfect fit for my cousin. He has made many friends and enjoys the daily activities. I highly recommend this facility to anyone. Robert VanWuyckhuyse

My mom was there from June 2018 to May 2020. Lots of kinks in communication and service caring since over 30 original staff and admin members either resigned or were let go when Legacy changed hands. Social Worker, Sales Rep, Nursing Director, Business Manager, Admin Director, and lots of excellent nurses and aides. My mom was moved from assisted living to the memory care section of Maiden Park in January 2019, around the time the mass exodus happened. Although it was the correct place for her to be, the care there was not as good as in assisted. Part of that was due to the ridiculous changeover of staff for reasons not told to families. Way too much and too fast for the place to keep up and properly train aides, nurses, and admins. The communication problem between aides and nurses as well as to families did not help. I changed my rating at the time from 5 to 3 because of this. I am hoping things have gotten better as there were some good, qualified people there. My mom is now at Wegmans Family Cottages at Park Ridge... had to move her in middle of pandemic in May 2020. She is in a much better qualified place now, where they know and understand Dementia.

Im writing a review on behalf of my grandfather and family. In January, we toured Legacy at Maiden Park and had the pleasure of meeting Rebecca, who works in admissions. I cant say enough kind words about her! Rebecca provided comfort during a difficult period for our family. She and Lisa took time with us and answered all of our questions about enhanced assisted living. They helped us navigated the paperwork and get grandpa moved in smoothly. The staff was warm and inviting. They helped make the transition smooth by getting to know our family and giving my grandpa the extra attention he needed at that time. Since then, grandpa has gotten acclimated and become comfortable in his new home. The routine and Daily Schedule provided really helps. My grandpa enjoys music, exercise and happy hour (with real beer) on Fridays. He eats meals and socializes with the same group of men each day. There is no perfect facility, but when weve had questions or minor concerns the staff has worked quickly to communicate with us and resolve any issues. Liz Richardson, the director, is very approachable and eager to help. Shes quick to schedule meetings, talk to families and follow-up afterwards. There are many wonderful employees, starting with the ladies at the front desk. Ive had the most interaction with Kelly and Wendy. They are friendly, professional and always happy to lend a helping hand. My grandpas charge nurse, Ashley is wonderful. Shes kind, easy to talk to and very competent. The activity director is very sweet with the residents. She takes time to engage with each and every one of them. Omani, in the dining room speaks kindly to the residents and does her best to meet their ever changing requests. There are countless other aids and workers with whom Ive had positive interactions. On behalf of my grandfather and family, Id like to thank each and every one of you who work hard at a difficult job. You truly make a difference in the lives of the residents at Legacy. Thank you!

We chose Legacy at Maiden Park because they met all of our needs. My family member has been there for awhile now. Its a wonderful community. When you walk in, there is a sense of peace and you just feel like youre at home. It is bright and cheery and has a lot of character throughout; its very warm and welcoming. My family members room is spacious and she was able to decorate it just the way she wanted it, which was very important to her for it to feel like home. The staff are wonderful! They do everything to meet the families needs, and they are willing to work with you in any way if you need to adjust to anything. They arent just working there, they are creating and sustaining a genuine home-like atmosphere, and that can be seen in the faces of the residents and the staff. They all go above and beyond in their roles. I couldnt ask for more.

As a Senior Living Advisor, I highly recommend Legacy at Maiden Park, to families who are looking for a clean and modern community, with a professional care staff, who can treat residents with enhanced care needs. I had the opportunity to visit Legacy at Maiden Park recently, for lunch and a tour. I was impressed from the moment I parked my car. The community is new and has the look of a high-end lodge. Entering the building, I noticed it was crisp and clean, the staff was friendly and Rebecca, who showed me around was professional and quite knowledgeable. The residents were out and about, engaged in activities, or being tended to by a care giver. I chose the chicken pot pie for lunch. It was hot and delicious; a meal I have not forgotten. In touring the community, there was ample space to roam inside and out, from game-rooms to courtyards. The apartments were spacious, with various layouts and backdrops to choose from. Overall, I was highly impressed and wouldnt hesitate to recommend this community to anyone. Additionally, I believe they are the best value in town! A family that I recently referred to the community, reported how impressed she was with the community, as well as the Community Relations Coordinator, Rebecca, who educated her on how the community could accommodate the needs of her loved one, who suffers from dementia. She answered all of her questions and gave her peace of mind. Needless to say, the family found their match, at Maiden Park. I will continue to recommend Legacy at Maiden Park, as the families that I have referred thus far have nothing except positive things to say!

I absolutely recommend Legacy at Maiden Park ..........My friend has been living at Legacy for the past year. She has dementia and Alzheimers and is doing very well there.
