My wife Maristela was admitted to Meadowbrook Rehab after being hospitalized at CVPH for one month with aspirational pneumonia with complications from Parkinson's. She entered with almost no mobility and muscle tone and had to be lifted by aids. Within a short time of physical and occupational rehab, care by skilled nurses and CNA's she responded and quickly regained the many abilities she had lost. Attention was given to swallowing and speech skills that had led to pneumonia. The care from doctors, nurse managers and nursing staff was skilled, and professional. The therapists showed an attention to her progress by appropriate challenges without at any time risking her safety. When her progress approached discharge date the staff helped me to assume the new methods of feeding, administering medicine and coached me in the continuation of therapies that would be necessary to maintain the health that she regained. They went above and beyond to ensure hat the progress gained would lead to a continued health of my wife. The entire staff in the Orchards were not only professional but showed care and concern for her that exceeded my expectations. Thanks to every person that we encountered and to the support personnel and management that encouraged the staff to create a caring, kind and cheerful environment. These are Josh, Hannah, Sarah, Bobbie, Derrick, Jeanette, Cindy, Kelly, Trevor, Kimberly, Ainslyn, Lydia, Candy, Nathli, Jen and Tadeo, Jennifer and many others on the late shift that I never met but showed care and kindness to her. My mom was placed at Meadowbrook 3 months ago because of Alzheimer’s disease. Since that time she has been treated with nothing but kindness, love and understanding. The aides have been absolutely amazing Bailey, Mercedes, Danielle, Carla, Kayla, Sarah have been extremely attentive. Their calming disposition has put my mother at ease during this difficult time. They have also been a stabilizing factor in our lives. These are truly remarkable people that are a positive influence on this facility and the people that are here. The nursing staff have truly listened to our concerns and acted on them, we couldn’t ask for more.

My mother Lorraine Willis was in subacute care for about a week or so. Her room was lovely and spacious. The staff was excellent, particularly nurse Jamie. No matter the request, someone responded within a reasonable time. I'd give 5 stars, but I was disconcerted when my mother passed in the hospital. The next day I went to clear out her belongings at Meadowbrook, and there was already someone in her room! All of her belongings had been packed up without anyone contacting me.

This was my second visit to Meadow Brook. With times I was very impressed with both the facility and staff. Facility was extremely clean and furnished very well. All staff who I encountered were helpful and very respectful and friendly. A very pleasant and rewarding visit.

I have had 10-20 years down this road of dementia care for my spouse. I can no longer care for him at home. Many times I was hitting brick walls. My spouse was admitted last Monday to Meadowbrook. I can finally be a spouse and not worry about his care. Jane, Ashley and especially Heather have been instrumental in his care program. The staff is pleasant, responsive and they get back to me with any questions or concerns. Any problem is taken care of quickly. It brings tears of sadness to think of what he’s been through to get here, but tears of joy knowing that the staff are giving him the best care. All I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The majority of the staff are great. A particular shout out to two great aides—Mindy Rock and Stephanie who work on the 4th floor. Just wish a few more aides were on each shift so patients could be changed more frequently to prevent so many from getting constant UTI’s.

The Subacute level is in a class all its own. The rooms are bright and airy. Not noisy and actually more like walking through a hotel except you do see patients in various levels of ability. One negative: there was no box of tissue or even bedside water carafe for a patient’s use. It seems silly to think someone would have to be summoned to a patient’s room to be asked for a glass of water and necessitate making a trip to get it…each time.

The women at the desk was very helpful and led my son and I straight to my nana’s room. She helped give us the WiFi info, and answered a few question I had. The nurse who brought her food was very nice as well and was willing to provide a gluten free menu to my grandmother. Over all decent experience, only complaint was that she had no water when we got there. And hadn’t seen anyone since she arrived 2 hours before. Again over all good experience. Everyone was nice, so far. It’s her first day there so only time will tell.

Though I can not speak for daily interaction, I can however state when visiting my family member today everyone was very friendly and prompt when we needed something. The nurse who was taking care of my loved one was very punctual, friendly, caring and loving. As a nurse myself my loved ones nurse was outstanding nurse. Her bed side manners were impeccable and not seen everyday, even with the overstimulating little ones that accompanied me. My loved one can't remember alot right now but does remember this nurse °

Meadowbrook has truly been a god send to me , the staff has been amazing and most helpful during this difficult time , My mom has been there 1 week now and I feel very optimistic that she is going to bounce back and start walking again and enjoy the activities she enjoyed the jacuzzi bath and then she was able to get in to have her hair done , she is in the Orchards and its absolutely beautiful , I can not Thank everyone at Meadowbrook enough for the help and compassion I have received during this process and when others did not want to help me admissions was there immediately with answers and help and for me it has been the hardest decision I have ever had to make . Everyone was vey accommodating! I had a visitor with me who could’ve used a transfer chair ( I couldn’t fit his in my car… I had too much stuff in my van and our trip to see the 3 residents wasn't planned ahead. I was just wondering if people who have transfer wheelchairs or walkers left after their loved one passes away would be encouraged to contact you to see if you were interested in a few of them so that they are available to visitors in a situation like I was. I stayed a little longer than 8 pm but the staff were happy that visitors came to see the residents, so there was no super pressure put on us. I did accidentally dislodge the door bar but had no way of putting it back in place once I went out the door. We will be back next Thursday and am excited to someday try to get my new 81 year old, (hopefully temporarily) Wheelchair bound friend, Gary Fountain, ( Bill Guerin’s brother in law, Darlene Guerin’s bother,/- to go volunteer to tell his “jokes to the folks”, as I call it! I might also get a few of the singing group I joined last spring to swap singing gigs ( they are Tom the Sand River Community Farm 1044 Mace Chasm Rd in Keeseville.

I visit my friend every single day. Being able to check in by just showing my face and answering three questions (Room number, any COVID-19 symptoms, any quarantine) is incredible. Even better - I don’t have to remove my face mask while I am checking in. Thank you for making this process smoother and easier!

I've been very pleased with the care my brother gets at Meadow Brook Healthcare ine Plattsburgh NY except for one female employee who would not get him a soft drink when I asked for him. Her rudeness took me off guard because everyone else who works there is friendly and pleasant. I asked another girl for one and she got one for me within seconds.

My mom was diagnosed with fast, paced dementia, and we needed placement urgently as it happened so quickly. Meadowbrook was phenomenal to us! They were caring, kind and professional, and immediately came up with a bed for my mom. We are so happy with the care she is getting. The facility to include the room and the bathroom and common areas are top notch! The staff are professional, kind, and extremely helpful. It makes me sad that my mom had to go to a nursing facility, but I am confident that she is safe and has excellent care. Thank you one and all!

Receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. The nurse who goes to college was wonderful with the patient. One bad problem is food in this facility it's awful as my loved ones said and she is loosing weight and was unrecognizable. Please improve your quality and quantity of food . Thank you very much.

My mother-in-law was admitted for rehab this afternoon. And the check-in procedure for me was much simplified. No covid test currently required, instead they now have a kiosk that takes a picture of you and your temperature and ask you various questions and prints out a sticker for you to wear while you're in the facility. The kiosk is a fantastic improvement over my last visit about a year ago and actually allows one to want to visit residents, which on turn should help them be happier and not forgotten by visitors.

Excellent rehab facility...you feel the care from the moment you walk in. From administration to housekeeping and everyone in between resident care is top priority. Staff like Jason, Kelly, Marianne, Shaunna, Michelle, Kelsey, Kaley, Cindi, Tiffany, Brittany all went above and beyond their required duties to make residents and family feel cared for. Highly recommended.

When we walked into Meadowbrook we were greeted at the office by a very friendly receptionist. She told us our friend’s room then took us right over to the machine to register us in. She walked us each through the whole process then showed us where the elevator was. She also gave us the directions right to the room. We were very impressed how clean and ordered the institute was. We know being an elderly home it could be uncomfortable with the orders but we were very pleased. If we had to take one of our loved ones to a home we would try to go there.

I was truly impressed by the cleanliness of the facility both inside and out. Ease of registering was also a contributing factor. Was very good visit. The front door girl was so very pleasant and helpful to get me signed in and covid tested. Very friendly staff greated me at the door and on the floor. Care was given as soon as it was asked for. The girls took good care of the lady I was visiting.
