I would highly recommend using Village Walk for your mom or dad. My experience working with Nicole and the entire Village Walk team was amazing. The entire community was very welcoming to my mom and they made a very difficult transition much easier to deal with.

I am so glad to have found The Village Walk. They have become a second family to us. For most of the staff, this is more than a job, they go above and beyond caring for my mom. Kathy at the front desk has been our rock since day one. Patricia and Anthony light up the facility with their contagious joy and compassion, it's palpable how much they love and care for my mother. Jalyn, Sky, Alan, and Mohammed are amongst the hardest and kindest workers I've met, they care for my mother in detail, going out of their way to bring her comfort and joy. Christine has cared for my mom like she was her own since we moved her there almost 5 years ago, I don't know what I'd do without her. Quia has also been a vital part of our team not just assisting us with her medical care but supporting my mom and the family. Aly is amazing, everything she organizes and creates is outstanding. The recreation staff put their hearts and souls into every activity. We recently moved Mom to Memory Care, without the help of Nick, Anthony, Christine, and Matt, I don't know what we would have done. Andre is a care specialist in memory care, he is outstanding, having someone like him care for my mom brings peace to my heart, she loves him. Everyone in memory care has been so friendly and supportive, shout out to Vanessa, Massandra, and Flora. I know I'm not mentioning all of the wonderful staff members who have shown us so much love, support, and kindness but there are too many to list, just know we are grateful to you.

My mom recently became a resident at Village Walk and I am so impressed with the level of care that she is receiving from her nursing aides. They genuinely care about her, always show her compassion, and, most remarkably, they have even taken the initiative to learn how to do certain things that are integral to her health. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Yoselin, Jayln, Maria M., and Maria N.

A few months ago, I visited Village Walk at Patchogue. I had an appointment and met with Lawrence Katz - the Executive Director. I needed a place for my 90 year old mother to keep her safe, happy and well cared for. After meeting with Mr. Katz, I felt overly confident that this would be a great place for Mom. He was kind, caring and thorough. I was shown around the entire facility and different room choices. I could not believe how beautiful, clean and brightly lit this Senior living was. A couple of weeks later, I brought Mom into this wonderful place. Mom loved her room that was furnished by Village Walk. She could not believe the size of her private room and bathroom. After a short while, Mom adjusted to everything. She has so many friends, loves all of the meals, snacks, and cappuccinos in the Bistro. The staff keeps her room remarkably immaculate and launders her clothing and bedding with care. The Medical staff, Physical and occupational therapists, the aides, the restaurant chefs and servers, the wonderfully trained professionals that lead the daily activities, receptionist, caring bus driver, and maintenance all do a fine job. Daily exercise, board games, bingo, trivia, pet therapy, knitting, art and cooking demonstrations... even a nail and hair salon. To sum it, am more than happy and satisfied with Village Walk of Patchogue. The first time I met with Mr. Katz until now, I feel confident and happy with my decision. Mr. Katz is always available to contact. My 90 year old mother is so very happy and so well cared for.

As an outside vendor servicing Village Walk for the past 4 years, I have always had a positive experience. Whether it be ordering building supplies with Matt, parts for the kitchen with Tom, or mixing paint colors for Aly, my interaction with the staff have all been professional. Upon visiting the community for a project, the place was clean, well lit, and decorated beautifully. I am looking forward to the continued partnership with Village Walk. - Art

I have nothing but great things to say about this facility. All of the staff members go above and beyond to provide great service for their residents. Just to name a few...Frank the case manager is so knowledgeable and helpful, the activities organized by Aly are second to none, and the meals prepared by Tom are creative and delicious. Keep up the good work!

This is a beautiful facility! It's very clean and feels warm and inviting. The staff is top notch, especially their Recreation Department! They provide a full day of activities as well as take the residents on fabulous field trips. We had the pleasure of participating in a lovely luncheon and the food was simply delicious.

My 92 year old Dad became an Assisted Living resident at the Village Walk a month ago. From a daughter's perspective the experience we've had with VW has been better than 5 stars. All of the staff at VW maintains a focus on creating community and servicing that community with kindness and compassion while maintaining the highest standards of care. From our first meeting with Nicole Vulpis, Director of Sales and Marketing to every subsequent interaction with VW staff, we felt Dad's needs were heard, understood and met with caring and concern while not interfering with his independence. Dad's days are now filled with good food, fun and engaging activities and being part of a vibrant community. It doesn't get better than that. When I asked Dad what rating he would give VW he didn't hesitate to say 5 stars.

was fortunate enough to visit Village Walk on behalf of Texas Roadhouse, for a campaign we have to donate rolls within the local Community. It was wonderful to partner with Aly, the Director of life enrichment to schedule a social hour for the residents where I could come and provide our famous bread and cinnamon butter and share a little bit about our company with the residents. Crystal, The Director of memory care at the time, gave me a full tour of the community and shared with me a little bit about the services they offer to the residents living with them. I am excited to solidify a date in June where I can come back to the community, this time with our famous Texas roadhouse mascot Andy joining me!

I work as an outside provider that comes to Village Walk to provides nursing services for the residents. Crystal, the director of health services, and all the nurses in the Wellness department are always very helpful and easy to work with. I feel as if I’m part of the team. You can see how much they care and how well the residents are taken off. Village Walk is a great place.

Tom and Aly brought 2 groups of their residents to visit Hagerman Fire House in honor of International Firefighters Day! It was so nice that they wanted their residents to feel safe and knowledgeable about fire safety. The residents enjoyed a tour of the variety of different apparatus and trucks we have as well as speak with one of our long time volunteers who has been with us for 59 years to ask any questions they had, both groups even got to see our volunteers respond to a real emergency call. After their visit, Aly and her life enrichment staff had their residents write and draw thank you cards that she and Tom dropped off to use the following day. We can’t wait to invite the residents back again for more fire safety activities!

Village walk staff and health care workers are attentive and caring to their residents. The director of health care services, Crystal, is a strong and focused leader that cares for the environment for her nursing department and the residents overall care. Crystal is observant, organized and proficient in her department. Crystal is educational to her staff; Creates a reliable environment with her staff and with the visiting health care providers. All of the nursing staff create a strong bond and interactions with their residents. The overall village walk staff bring a welcoming, comfortable and memorable environment for the residents.

My uncle has been living at village walk for the past 2 years and I wouldn't want to change a thing. He is able to socialize all day and create so many new relationships. He is always busy doing something in the building or out on a trip. I am even able to attend some of the parties there too and the staff make me feel welcome. The activities that Aly plans each month have something for everybody. The most important thing for me is that my uncle feels safe, and he does.

I am a job couch and I bring my client to work a couple days a week to Village walk. I noticed the residents are always happy and being well taken care of. The residents are happy with the food and service in the dinning room. My client and I work a lot in the dining room led by Tom which we have noticed the residents always seem to be happy with the food and their dining room experience. I always see activities going on for residents to keep them busy and I always hear fun trips being planned by Ally in activities and have actually ran into them on a trip at the local corey beach while they were having lunch there which looked like a ton of fun !

Recently went to the facility with my Red Hat Ladies club and wow!!! What a beautiful, clean and welcoming facility. The luncheon event was set up by their recreation director Aly and it was amazing. We had a great lunch with the ladies visiting and doing a craft! Staff member Mackenzie was so awesome with the residents and it was a pleasure to see her so kind hearted and attentive to them. They set up an amazing and delicious buffet for all of us for lunch and the director Tom put out quite the spread. What a wonderful looking place and staff. Five stars!!!!
February 2023
The staff at Village Walk are exceptional. We placed my uncle there hoping he would be there for a longer period of time than it actually turned out, unfortunately. He lived in the higher level of care units and was well taken care of. His single room/apartment was spacious and pretty well attended to. Meals were fine though my uncle could not gain a full appreciation because of his state of health. The fact that they have 24 hr nursing care on staff is a plus.

All the staff here is so helpful and always willing to go above and beyond. Would definitely recommend
January 2023
I visited this facility with my coworker to volunteer and every single faculty member I encountered was treating the residents with kindness, care and respect. The Director of Life Enrichment, Aly, was kind enough to give us a tour and teach us more about the Village Walk facility. They have a full itinerary of programs for the residents throughout the day including board games, Musical experiences, Movie nights and so much more. We were lucky enough to get in on the fun of BINGO which everyone seemed to enjoy. I also thought it was great that they have multiple trips the residents can sign up to partake in which included museums, restaurants and even Dave and Busters! Based on my observations I would say this is an excellent facility and somewhere I would recommend for a loved one.

Such a nice building after visiting! Very clean and attentive staff. Matt was super helpful with a family member living there. Would definitely recommend
December 2022
I don't have enough positive things to say about The Village Walk at Patchogue! I can honestly say that every person I have met and have seen interact with my grandpa has been so warm, friendly and caring. Aly in particular has always gone above and beyond to make sure that my grandpa is not only cared for but is also happy. And she does it all with a smile on her face! My family and I are so grateful for amount of activities and trips that my grandpa has been able to experience since moving in.
December 2022
Mom moved in after several falls at home requiring a stint in rehab and at the start of the pandemic. She missed living with us at home but the staff did all they could to engage her. From Christian asking her to join her neighbors on outings to Christine and the rec staff involving her in the activities. They took the time to learn her likes and dislikes. If a medical issue arose, they were quick to give or get her assistance, keeping us informed along the way. If I had any concerns, I could easily reach staff and department heads like Crystal to discuss them and work out an action plan. As Mom reached her end of life, the care, concern and compassion shown by the staff touched our hearts and confirmed we made the right decision.
December 2022
Very clean and welcoming center! My family member enjoys being here and the care she gets
November 2022
I had the pleasure of dining next to the residents and staff of Village Walk yesterday at the Chinese Buffet in Islandia. To say the staff went above and beyond would be an understatement. They took the time to bring all 12 of the patients they brought with them up to the buffet line 1 by 1 and helped them pick out what they wanted to eat, I don't think I saw either of the employees sit down once to eat their own food! All of their patients had a smile on their face and looked well cared for. I hope if the time comes one day that I am placed in any kind of senior community that the individuals caring for me are half as kind and compassionate as the 2 staff members I saw working with their patients yesterday. God bless them both and the work they do.
November 2022
Nicole at the Village Walk was a pleasure to work with. She was knowledgeable about the process and showed great care in her interactions with my family and loved ones. She toured the facility with us, explained our options, and was available 24/7 to answer any questions or concerns. Would rate the experience 5-star.

My Red Hat ladies were invited to a tea with the Villiage Walk Vixen Red Hat group. Director Aly set up a wonderful afternoon for all of us. Tom made us delicious food to enjoy. Everything was outstanding. Mackenzie and the other staff are such an asset to Villiage Walk. They were amazing with the ladies. So kind and passionate. We can not thank everyone enough. We hope to have other events with the ladies. We felt so comfortable in the clean, welcoming facility. We thought the sun room where the tea was held was the perfect spot for the group. Afterward , we got to see the residents in the lobby excited to see the band. Thank you, thank you

We were very fortunate to have discovered Village Walk in our efforts to find a new home for our sister. We had initially researched, telephone-interviewed and then personally visited a number of assisted living / memory care places in the area, and Village Walk distinctly stood out from the others. It became clear that Village Walk was unique the environment is more vibrant, more participative, more active. There is something going on pretty much all the time, and the community seems to benefit from the energy exhibited by both staff and residents. We continue to be very impressed by the senior team and staff at Village Walk. Together they have developed a positive, caring and collaborative organizational culture which is evident throughout the entire organization. Following a personal tragedy which severely impacted her physical and cognitive abilities, my sister is currently residing in memory care, where she is receiving a high level of personal attention to her physical and cognitive challenges. We are very pleased with our decision to entrust her care to the great team at Village Walk. Update: It's now been six weeks since my sister moved to Village Walk and I first wrote this review. Since then, the leadership team and staff at Village Walk has continued to impress at every turn. Ann has now received numerous visits by friends and family, and all have come away with a similar impression - Village Walk is gifted with a highly professional team, a strong, positive organizational culture, and a vibrant, fresh, almost "youthful" vibe that hits you when you walk in the door and stays with you. Everyone there goes out of their way to be kind and caring, and after weeks of living with trauma and uncertainty, my sister is finally at peace in her new home. The environment has had a noticeable positive impact on her, both physically and cognitively, and we all are looking forward to better days ahead. Because of my sister's somewhat advanced healthcare needs (e.g., she is a Type 1 diabetic and is no longer able to administer her own insulin), it was critically important for us to find an assisted-living home that has what is known as an "enhanced care" license. Village Walk possesses this license. In our search for a home for my sister, we visited several other adult homes in the region which also claim to have this license. However we learned that it can be quite subjective in terms of the level of care actually offered by these places. Village Walk truly "walks the talk" when it comes to their ability and willingness to provide enhanced care to their residents. In summary, and speaking for all of my sister's family and friends, we cannot speak highly enough of Village Walk, and we strongly recommend this wonderful place to anyone who is looking for a truly great place to live!

I cant say enough positive things about our experience so far with Sandy, she is truly an angel. During a beyond stressful time with finding our dad an assisted living facility, she somehow managed to calm our nerves by going above and beyond in a way I have never seen. As this was a brand new experience for us, she guided us in all the right directions with every aspect of this process. There are no words to express the gratitude and appreciation we have for Sandy, I simply dont know what we would have done without her. Every member of the staff she has put us in touch with has gotten back to us in a timely fashion and reassured us even further. We truly feel we have made the right decision for our dad and feel so fortunate to have found the Village Walk. We are extremely impressed by every member of this team and are truly confident we made the right decision for our dad. You can tell the difference when people truly care about what they do, and based on the level of professionalism and compassion of Sandy and everyone shes put us in touch with, we have no doubt our dad will live a positive healthy lifestyle. We cant thank you guys enough!

Moving a family member to assisted living is hard enough but its especially difficult for those moving away from their home and loved ones. However the staff at Village Walk make that transition so much easier for both their clients moving in as well as the family members wanting the best for their moms or dads. During the covid pandemic our mom who turns 99 this November and still lived independently finally decided it was time she ask for help and frankly we knew she was also getting lonely not interacting with other adults on a regular basis. So our search began until we found Village Walk; I cant speak for others but I can tell you about our experience. From day one Linda Cody the rep for VW walked us through everything, from health concerns, daily routines what to expect, types of living quarters available, she even allowed us to measure moms prospective suite so we could order new furniture to downsize and make her suite similar to her home just mini sized, The staff went out of their way to help us with the move and we were there constantly to either bring in furniture, or decorations prior to mom moving in. What we saw on every occasion was happy clients and staff with always an offer to assist us if we needed them. During the covid pandemic we could see first hand how they insured their clients were protected via meals brought to them rather than group interaction, and no one was allowed into the facility including ourselves without written proof of covid testing and negative results as well as constant temperature review. We got to know maintenance staff Matt, Chris, as well as all the gals handling the clients room laundry, cleaning, food delivery etc. we met them all during one time or another even head nurse Lauren whose concern regarding our mom was top notch. Every staff member was professional but most importantly caring. In fact the day mom moved in we were delayed and due to our late arrival it caused mom to miss the dinner delivery for rooms that day and without even asking a gentleman from the kitchen was at the door asking mom if he could bring her something from the kitchen and within a few minutes he returned with a tray loaded with goodies and she preened like a princess. It seems to us from the moment we entered Village Walk that not only was this a very well run facility but the staff is professional, always friendly and concerned about the welfare of their clients but most importantly the folks working and living there are happy and safe. So Village Walk is where we want our mom to be because having her safe and happy to us is priceless.

I highly recommend the Village Walk in Patchogue for families looking for assisted living for loved ones. The director Linda Cody was extremely helpful, informative and compassionate and guided my family through the process every step of the way! The rooms and facility are beautiful and clean. Everyone is friendly and responsive and I am confident my loved one is well cared for! Allison L.

Village Walk is a beautiful facility that provides everything and more that our family can ask for to care for our mother. During the pandemic, we needed to relocate our mother from another facility. Within a week, Linda Cody, Director of Community Relations and Outreach, was there to facilitate the move. She is professional, knowledgeable, warm, dependable and hard-working. Day or night, she is always available to answer questions, address our concerns and point us in the right direction. My family and I cannot say enough about Linda and the care our mother is receiving.
