My husband has received kind and compassionate care here. Although no one wants to place a loved one in memory care, if your loved one comes to Brookdale, your fears will be relieved, and you can enjoy your visits.

Too much turnover with staff and no consistency with staff. Very sad to see what's happening here

Brookdale Memory Care in Tonawanda, Western New York, is an excellent, clean and caring facility that tries very hard to keep the place home-like and pleasant. The team of staff that are caring for patients are very caring, available and patient. This is very important when caring for Alzheimer's and Dementia patients. I am grateful that my husband is in such a safe and caring place. It is a well run facility that meets you with a smile all the time. I mean that.

When it was time to introduce my wife to Brookdale, I had many reservations and concerns. I knew that she needed the safety and care that only a memory care facility could provide. I dreaded the day that I would be dropping her off, but the staff at Brookdale alleviated so much of my anxiety by being so welcoming and personable to my wife on that day. They made this transition so seemless for us. I now think of Brookdale as a community of friends; the staff and the residents alike. I am so glad to have my wife cared for at Brookdale, and I always look forward to visiting. Brookdale is a very special place.

I have worked here for 13 years. This community has incredible care. Our memory care was completely renovated last year and is lovely. We have warm, welcoming, hands on environment that our residents and families enjoy. If your loved one needs memory care, this is THE place to come.

My parents lived there less than 12 months. Care was good and staff was conscientious. Food was good. We shopped extensively for a facility and this turned out out to be the best fit we could find. Everything was clean and well maintained my father passed away while there, and the staff and residents came through with a lot of support for my mother. She eventually recovered enough to need less care. Some of the credit for that goes to Brookdale

I’m quite happy here. Staff are wonderful!

Loved our experience in this place. Our family was treated like gold. Best memory anywhere.

My Father had a wonderful experience in this facility. Our family is extremely grateful for the tender care he received. He passed away with the support from the kind care givers at Brookdale Niagara Memory Care and with Hospice Niagara. We spent a lot of time with Dad while in Brookdale's care. The attentive staff helped keep Dad engaged, well care for and happy.I know this kind of care is not easy to deliver and all of us are going through grieving while our family is still here. It is so hard. This place made it all so much easier handle.

My father received wonderful care at Brookdale Niagara Memory Care . The caregivers were so kind and understanding. Dad eventually went on Hospice and passed away with people around who were so good to him. I can not say enough good things about this place. The food was delicious and dad loved it. All the residents were treated kindly. The place is spotless. The activities were engaging and happened all day long. Overall I give them a 5/5 and my highest endorsement.

Horrible experience. My mom was here for 16 months. They overcharged her when moving in and tried to overcharge her when moving out. They Lost numerous articles of her clothing including an expensive winter wool coat, Laundry ruined her $150 wig by putting it in the washing machine--not once--but twice! Sent mom to the hospital twice unnecessarily--doctor there said nothing was wrong and she shouldn't have been sent by ambulance. Gave hospital and ambulance mom's old insurance info--which they didn't correct until I notified them several times. Mom fell over 15 times. When we picked mom up for church, she had crumbs all over her face and had had an accident in her pants. When we picked up mom for Thanksgiving, she had on another resident's pants which were 2 sizes too big and old man socks on. Mail addressed to me kept coming with an incorrect first name. In 16 months, Brookdale Memory Care Niagara had 3 Executive Directors, 2 Activity Directors, 2 Business Managers, and 2 Health and Wellness Directors. There was absolutely no continuity. Lastly, I was supposed to receive a Care Plan within 2 weeks of mom's moving in. I didn't receive it until I requested it 3 months later, and it contained incorrect medical information. I could go on and on. There were a few people who were helpful: Angela and Brandi in activities and Debbie, the nurse. They were the only go-to people there. I moved Mom to Elderwood at Wheatfield Memory Care where she is receiving great care. Please do not subject your loved one to Brookdale.

Both facilities are beautiful. Clean, updated, bright and the suites are terrific. Larger and well appointed. We have enjoyed the chef prepared meals with our parents. Mom and Dad love it here. The staff is top notch. No complaints. Best decision we ever made. They know how to roll out the red carpet each day. Nursing communicates well with the entire family. We looked at four different facilities before all choosing the Brookdale Niagara Campus. Mom needed Enhanced Assisted Living care. Dad has slight memory loss. We feel confident that we have the solution to both their needs. Very happy we took our Doctors advice and gave the admissions director a call. To have all five siblings smiling again and seeing our parents so well cared for and happy. Well it’s priceless!

Our dad has been here since early February. There have been many occasions that I'm sure he has given the staff a handful to deal with. They have responded with compassionate care each and every time. Every one of their residents presents a unique set of circumstances that challenges staff members hourly. God bless and help these professionals in their daily work!
