I was at Elderwood Wheatfield for rehab and PT services post hip replacement surgery. I cannot commend the staff of all divisions of this facility for the kindness and professionalism they displayed at all times. In addition to the staff, the building itself was always very clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend Elderwood at Wheatfield to anyone who is in need of the type of services they provide. Robin Zastrow

I have high regards for this place .. most all of staff went above and beyond in their services2 individuals were very cold, not helpful on night shift. But would recommend elderwood for reHAB..PT, OT, NURSING STAFF HOUSEKEEPING AND ANCILLARY HELP ALL VERY NICE AND VERY COMPETANT. FOOD WAS TOLERABLE AND SERVED WARM TO HOT EACH MEAL. THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF FOR EXCELLENT CARE.

Mom has been at this facility for 4 years. The administration is top notch. They are responsive to concerns. There is a challenge with staffing as it seems businesses everywhere have shortages since COVID. However, administration works together as a team. Michelle Hardy, the Director of facility, actually works as an aide when needed. Mom who has dementia lived with me for 3 years. When she needed more help, I placed her here where our family visits 4-5 times per week. We feel this is a good fit and recommend.

Skilled nursing facilities have greatly declined since COVID. Elderwood at Wheatfield is still one of the better ones in Niagara County. Good and reliable help is hard to find and the turnover rate recently has become a problem.

I came here for therapy after a hospital visit. Therapy was decent. Everything else was simply terrible. Some did try to help. Others did not and were extremely condescending. Talked to me like I was hard of hearing and had dementia. I felt like I needed to fight for the most basic things. Food constantly late, not good about 75% of the time. Therapy often arrived when I was starving. Being extremely hungry was constant and made me very anxious. Couldn't watch much TV in my room. Many channels "out". I'm literally exhausted just before discharge, because of everything. Very bad experience.

My husband was admitted to Elderwood Wheatfield for rehab on his shoulder and legs. The PT/OT department is very good and he is progressing nicely. The nursing staff and aides are very caring and attentive to the patients. They keep me updated on my husband’s condition. The place is very clean and bright. Everyone is very kind and friendly. My husband says it is a very nice facility and he would recommend it to anyone who needs help.

My mother in law was at Elderwood Wheatfield for rehab. I would like to thank all the unit Four girls for the great job they did. I would especially like to thank Shelby, Liz, Amanda and April for the special care they showed her. Also the physical therapy department. Great job. ‘

One of my family members were just there for rehab. The care and respect she has received was amazing! Thank you to all the nurses CNAs and the therapy department for treating her like their own family. I would recommend Elderwood at Wheatfield to anyone in search of a nursing home.

My brother was brought here for rehab after his back surgery and having a negative experience at Northgate, this was a refreshing and wonderful experience. The staff has gone out of their way to be accommodating and to make us feel at home. Everyone from Administration down have been wonderful to work with. I can't thank them enough for their outstanding care that they have been providing.

In Jan. of 2022 I was in a vehicle accident. I was at ECMC for 5 weeks and recieve numerous surgeries, afterwards I spent 5 1/2 months at Elderwoods Wheatfield, 3 of them in bed. The staff was wonderful, the aides had to do everything for me. As embarrassing as it was at first they showed that its what they do and I shouldn't feel that way. The physical therapist patiently worked with me once my lower body was able to bare weight. I'm still in a wheelchair but able to transfer to bed, toilet, shower bench etc., I even walk some with a walker. As a said everyone was wonderful, Nurses, Aides, Therapist, Cook, Cleaning Staff even the Maintenance Staff was there for me when my wheelchair broke.

My 89 year old father has been a resident in independent living for many years. My mother was a resident in memory care prior to her passing. I can't say enough about the measure of care and respect that has been shown to both my parents. As children of residents, my brother and I have been treated respectfully. And our concerns always acted on. My father's needs are always kept at the forefront.

My mother and I were very happy with the care given to her at Elderwood at Wheatfield. She was in their care for four years at the Skilled Facility until she recently passed. I visited her almost every two or three days and observed my mom was very happy with the personal care of the entire staff including nurses, aides, food, activities, physical therapy, hair dresser, administration and even maintenance staff were friendly, efficient and caring. She originally was in their Independent building for 3 years, Assisted Living building for 3 years before. I would highly recommend Elderwood at Wheatfield for anyone looking at this facility.
