We chose the Bristal at Lynbrook for your cousin who is in a wheel chair, needs help but still is independent. We are very happy with the care she gets, it is like a family operated home, excellent food, many choices for activities and the staff is caring.

I'm not sure where to begin……from my first contact with Anne Gerage to my meeting with Wendy Gregg I knew my Mom would be in good hands. These two women made the transition for us getting her in there so less stressful than I could have imagined. She came from another assisted living my family and I were so unhappy with. She was very depressed and we knew we had to do something… Mom has been there over 2 weeks and she is so content. The facility is so well run, the meals are handled like they are in a diner with 3 course meals. The aides are so incredibly amazing and kind. I could go on and on! The world for my family and I has taken so an amazing turn, I enjoy my visits there immensely. Thank you to all the staff!

When my sister and I starting looking at Assisted Living facilities with my mom seven years ago, we knew almost immediately that The Bristal at Lynbrook was the right fit. Everyone we met was so warm and welcoming. It didn't take long for Mom to adjust to her new home. She loved her "apartment" and enjoyed decorating her place with family photos and other personal items. She made many friends and enjoyed all the activities and entertainment provided by the Bristal. She loved talking with Nancy, at the reception desk. They had such a nice bond. She was happy and thriving and we were grateful that she was safe and being looked after by such a wonderful staff. After about four years, Mom's memory began to deteriorate and the decision was made to move Mom to Reflections, the Memory Care unit on the fourth floor. This was a difficult decision but the immeasurable support of Wendy Gregg, the Executive Director and Monique Shroud, the Case Manager helped us navigate the transition. They truly care about all the residents and their families. They truly "see you" and I will always be grateful for that. Mom lived in the Memory Care Unit for three years before she required a higher level of care in a skilled nursing facility. I can't say enough about the staff in the Reflections unit. They took such good care of my mom. She was always clean and well- groomed. And I would be remiss if I didn't mention Paulette Richards. She was my mom 's Special Angel. She went above and beyond and I will be forever grateful. My mom lived at the Bristal for seven years total. I can honestly say that everyone I came in contact with from the Receptionists to Housekeeping and Maintenance personnel to Nursing staff and Administration were outstanding.

Due to multiple circumstances, my cousin with disabilities needed to be quickly transferred to an assisted living facility. The Bristal at Lynnbrook was able to accommodate the fast transition and did most of the work as I am unfamiliar with the process and live out of state. I am really grateful for their help transferring her to a good and safe living space.

On 2/19/23 our family made the decision to move Mom (90 years old) into the Bristal at Lynbrook. She lived in her house for over 60 years so even the the idea of moving Mom was difficult to consider. Two falls in two days at home made the decision easier for us to move forward. Our experience at the Bristal has been outstanding - warm, caring people - the kind of place that (considering all of the negativity in the news) will restore your faith in humanity. The Bristal staff has treated my Mom with dignity, kindness and respect. These are just some of the people that been truly awesome: Stephanie Davila - Director of Community Relations Paule-Irene Phanord - Director of Wellness Dedra Joseph - Director of Reflections Christine DeLuca - Director of Case Management Elaine Oliverio - Director of Recreation Jacqueline Armstrong - Director of Housekeeping Vito Gentile - Director of Maintenance We would also would like to express our appreciation to Rebecca and Nancy at the front desk, Ray (recreation dept), Pinki (wellness center), Marcia (housekeeping) and Bill and Mike (maintenance). The kindness our family received from everyone noted (and my apologies for missing others that should be included) will not be forgotten. Thank you all Rich Gullo

From the moment we entered the Bristal at Lynbrook we were struck by the presence of a professional and caring staff and a warm and inviting community atmosphere. Our entire family is grateful that we were able to find a such a wonderful residence for our family member.

I've dealt with a few facilities over the years and they all pale in comparison to The Bristal at Lynbrook. From the initial phone conversation to my visit and tour with Anne, there was no doubt in my mind that my Dad would be safe and feel right at home there. The facility is well kept and the staff are very cordial and helpful. Dad is very happy and content. Much gratitude to Anne, Wendy and the Lynbrook Team.

My mother recently moved into the Bristal in Lynbrook after living on her own for several years after my father passed away. Her mobility had become an issue for her and left her in her apartment many days by herself. During COVID many of her activities she attended shut down. Mom decided she would consider moving into an Assisted Living facility as she understood she needed more help and wanted the social interaction she missed. I toured the Lynbrook Bristal and was met with a pleasant and professional team of people who worked in the Facility as well as so many happy residents. I knew this would be a great place for my mom The move in process was easy and I felt we were guided step-by-step along the way. Move in day came and my mom was so nervous as this was a big change for her. She was welcomed by the team, making her move in successful. My mother has made new friends, joined activities and been getting the exercises she needs. She is so happy and talks about all the fun things she is doing everyday. I am so relaxed now knowing she is in good hands with a team of caring people. I am thankful she chose this facility.

If I could give 10 stars I would do so. We have have had a terrific experience from the first day we walked through the front door of the Bristal Lynbrook. The staff couldn't be kinder or more welcoming. My dad recently completed a 30 day trial stay and decided to make the Bristal his new home. We are all very excited for him. He has not sounded this happy for many years ! Extra special thanks to Annie Gerage who is truly outstanding.

The Bristal Assisted Living at Lynbrook has my sincere gratitude and appreciation for the care and concern the entire team has show my Mom. From my initial meeting with Anne Gerage, I knew the Bristal would provide Mom with the quality care needed in a safe and secure environment. The entire team (Front Desk, Wellness - Paule, Paulette, Pinkie and Aides; Case Management - Christine; Dining Room; Recreation - Elaine and Margaret; Housekeeping - Jacqueline and team; and Maintenance - Vito) has contributed to my Mom's smooth transition. Mom's world was turned upside down this year when she went from independent living to hospitalization, rehab and then assisted living. Mom has struggled at times, but with the encouragement of the entire Bristal team, she is starting to find her way. Thank you all! Jeanmarie Prandi

I will never ever forget the day we took Mom out of her home and to The Bristal. It was the beginning of the pandemic and it had become too dangerous for her to continue living alone. After a lot of research, we decided on The Bristal at Lynbrook. Friends told us not to do this to her. She would be happier at home. Safer at home. What they didn't know is the The Bristal at Lynbrook is a VERY very special place. The day we dropped Mom off was SO traumatic for my Mom as well as my brother and me. We knew we wouldn't see her for a while because of COVID restrictions. We knew she was so confused and scared. But every single person we dealt with that day was so patient and caring and warm. There really isn't enough room here to tell all the stories but there are a LOT of them. I remember Wendy Gregg telling us that a prerequisite to being hired there is to have a big heart. I found those hearts every single time I called or visited. It was remarkable. From sweet Nancy and Olivia when I'd walk in the door to all the caring and loving staff who would say hello and who clearly knew and loved our mom. LONG chats with Patty (nurse) when Mom started winding down. This is a very very special place. Recently we had to move mom to skilled nursing since she's no longer mobile. I am personally sad and will miss the family that we created at The Bristal. We will never forget the smiles, care, chats, and just the time spent with a very remarkable group of caring human beings. Do I recommend the place? 200% YES! I'm sorry to not name every person but I hope you all know how we will hold all of YOU in our hearts forever.

The transition from a rehab/ nursing home for my father couldn't be more easier. The staff was absolutely helpful throughout the process. It's only been a week but my father is happier to be in the Bristal. He is always telling me about the activities that he has done during the day. I would highly recommend the Bristal for anyone's loved one.

We have had a wonderful experience with the Bristal in Lynbrook. When we first went to tour the facility, Anne Gerage was just lovely. She made my mom feel very comfortable and introduced her to staff and residents as we walked through the facility. Wendy was also very friendly and welcoming to all of us. My mom is now at the Bristal a few days and she is loving her experience there. She tells me the food is excellent, her room is very nice and she has so much to do that she does not have time to speak to me. I would call this a great success! A big thank you to Anne, Wendy and all of the staff at the Bristal.
April 2021
After almost a year, I was able to visit with my father in his room at the Bristal. The room was very clean, well kept and neat. There was an abundance of personal items and toiletries for Dad to make use of. The staff (including the director) was very pleasant, professional, and helpful; and the overall atmosphere there was welcoming and cheerful! Its great to know that the Bristal is getting back to normal, and my wife and I cant wait for our next visit.
April 2021
The Bristal has taken wonderful care of our dear aunt during the pandemic. It has been a trying time and the staff has gone above and beyond to take care of the things we would normally help her with. It was wonderful to finally be permitted to visit her in person and to see everything just as it was before the pandemic—tidy and spotless. We are forever grateful to the entire staff.
March 2021
I normally dont like to write reviews but I cant say enough to express my gratitude to the staff at this place especially during this horrible Pandemic. The staff is great and the Directors are always helpful. The Director will always listen to our family challenges especially when it comes to making certain decisions. Our family is not the easiest to deal with but she always lend an ear. (Thank you Wendy for your patience!) Im glad with the new program and services my mom when needed can continue to reside in Assisted Living. They go above and beyond for my mom and the residents. Thank you to The Bristal at Lynbrook for being amazing!
November 2020
My Mom lived at Bristal from August 2015 until her recent passing on Oct 31,2020. From day one she was treated with utmost care and dignity. Each member of the staff did everything they could to make her stay comfortable and they were always on top of any issues that needed family intervention such as medication issues. I was always comfortable that I could sleep at night knowing my Mom was in good and safe hands.
November 2020
My family member has been at the Bristal Lynbrook since May of 2019. Due to a range of medical problems, living alone and independently was no longer a healthy option. The Bristal Lynbrook has been a good fit for my family member and our family. She is near all her doctors and extended family, we visit weekly. She has been happier than she had been in years. There are continuous activities and she has made many new friends. She can be alone or socialize depending on how she feels. She asked for a few foods she found helped her digestion and the cook was happy to provide them. She can go outside on a large patio and do laps while under the protection of the assisted living.Since Covid 19 the Bristal has worked long and hard to keep vulnerable residents safe, happy and healthy. My sister has had attention and care as the long days of quarantine continued. Once the state allowed activities and out of room time, more and more of normal life was reintroduced, it was so much work for all the dedicated staff. I find the staff caring and professional. I would recommend the Bristal to anyone who has the capacity to live at an assisted living level of care. It is a warm and dedicated environment. I work closely with my family member and know her happiness and safety is a team effort. Someday she may not be independent enough to live in assisted living. It would be a sad day to have to leave the Bristal Lynbrook for a higher level of care. Such dedicated people work there doing such a hard job with kindness and good will toward the residents.

For a year and a half the Bristal has treated my grandmother so well! It is spotlessly clean and the food is plentiful. There is always a celebration of some sort and the residents are kept active. You will not meet a nicer, more empathetic staff. Wendy the director is a gem! Mary makes every day exciting. Its a jolly holiday with Maryyyy She is always full of life. Princess and Jackie and many others go above and beyond each day like it was their family member. We are so thankful for the Bristal and happy for our decision.

My aunt is still adjusting too her move to this community, but I'am pleased with all they have done for us.
