My mother has been a resident for about 7 years. Most recently, we celebrated my niece's marriage. Julianne, director of activities, transformed the atria into a beautiful fairytale so my mother and all the residents could experience the ceremony. It was the most joyous occasion. I could not be more pleased with this place. The staff are all very friendly and the residents look happy and content. The size of room and bathroom are really nice. My father just loves the food. He says that everything tastes great and loves that there are options. They have activities going on during the day that bring the residents together. Definitely glad to have found Atria Tanglewood. Atria Tanglewood is a great place. My mom just joined this community at 95 after living at North shore Towers with an aide . She took a nasty fall and after breaking 6 ribs, in the hospital for an week and coming out of rehab living alone- even with an aide was not an option. From the moment I toured the facility with the sales director I knew this was the place for mom. It was clean, engaging , warm and friendly. The director showed me a couple of rooms, discussed pricing and all the activities and I decided on a beautiful sunny1 bedroom. I also had the opportunity to tour and speak with a few of the residents who praised the community. Each one of the staff member explained their role to take care of mom, engage her and put my mom’s physical and cognitive health and well being at their forefront. Over the last year or so my family and my mom had seen many other facilities but thanks to my hairdresser who has known me for over 15 years - she recommended Atria Tanglewood and I am overjoyed with how they have welcomed my mother. My mom is happy and commented to me today how nice everyone is- they always remember her name and treat her with the utmost respect. Thank you to the team!

My sister in law was there for a little over a year , when she moved in they said she didn’t need memory care . The care was good , she was happy there. She was starting with dementia when she went there ,It was all good until she started making mistakes, she would push the alarm buttons, and the emergency button in the elevator. So they decided to get her out . Which I thought was not right ! They gave us no proof that it was her , well my husband should have asked , so she was rushed out within a couple of weeks . I’m not very happy about what they did . If you have a family member with dementia don’t go there . It is ok just for assisted living . Just don’t think it was right they should have given us some proof it was her !

The Atria Tanglewood has been a seamless transition for my father. My dad has been well cared for mentally, physically and feels so comfortable. He has enjoyed all the activities, food and the sociability with the other residents. The staff is all very caring and professional. Particularly, Virginia Weaver the sales director, was so kind and patient while we were deciding if this would be the best fit for my dad. She answered endless questions on our end, always with a smile and never made us feel pressured. She did a wonderful job of highlighting all my father would benefit from by becoming a resident. Her caring nature, sealed the deal for us. His experience has lived up to every expectation.

The staff members have been so helpful, kind, and friendly and have made the transition to life at The Atria go so smoothly for my parents. Atria Tanglewood is a lovely place all around. Very clean, well maintained and located on parklike grounds adjacent to the Tanglewood Preserve. The staff, from sales, to meds to maintenence, to food services and all the way up to the Executive Director are all professional and very caring and respectful people. My mom’s friend was at the atria for a long time and she absolutely loved it. She was so active in the activities, she loved to help and they allowed her to help them with their games! One of the greatest concerns I had was the cleanliness and nutrition at Atria. I am delighted to say the living conditions are clean and excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. During covid they made the residents experience very safe and as active as they could. They employ a very dedicated and caring staff. Its immaculate and very well maintained They have a decent amount of activity as well. UNFORTUNATELY I feel as if they are gouging the residents with a yearly 9% rent increase every year. That is an unreasonable increase on a fixed income. The residents also complain that the food service has declined.

When we were looking for a new home for my grandmother there was a lot to take in to consideration. My grandma was a very social woman who enjoyed her many clubs and church groups. Her move meant she would have to leave the area she had lived in for well over forty years along with her church, bridge club, and daily lunches with friends. The first time I visited my grandmother at the Atria Tanglewood I could not get over how beautiful the facility was. The staff knew my father and Aunt by name as soon as they came in the door. I was very relieved to find out that my grandmother had found several new groups to participate in. As someone who adored their grandparent I honestly did not know if any place would be good enough for my wonderful grandmother and Atria Tanglewood proved me wrong. The staff was very accommodating and kind to her during her time of illness. It was a relief for my father to know that his mother was receiving the "best of the best" treatment from people who truly cared. As a grandchild it was great to see that my grandma was very happy in her new home and very safe. I was able to visit her regularly and she truly enjoyed her time there. I would recommend the Atria Tanglewood to anyone who is looking.

If you want to meet people who love what they do for a living...go spend some time talking to the folks who work at Atria Tanglewood. People like Doris and Larissa make the residents in Tanglewood feel safe and secure and deeply cared for. We couldn't be happier to have our Mom in Tanglewood...it gives us great comfort and confidence that she is so well cared for. Plus the place is gorgeous. If I were old enough, I'd live there!

Not only has Atria Tanglewood taken wonderful care of both of my grandmothers for years, my mother and sister are also employed there. Visiting Atria and helping my grandmother and family is always an enjoyable experience. Employees are attentive, knowledgeable, and always have a smile on their face. The level of compassion, respect and dignity that is afforded to the residents in the community of Atria Tanglewood is unlike any other assisted living setting that I've experienced. As a consulting Psychologist for various assisted living facilities, I can attest at first hand, that each resident is a recipient of the utmost quality in the human services field. This is easily seen from the delivery of such services from the housekeeping, wellness, nursing, administrative and support stafff and most notably from Larissa Kostal, the Resident Relations Director. I highly commend them for their tenacity in maintaining their mission to provide the highest level of care to those who once cared for us.

Atria Tanglewood is family. There is no other way to describe the communal, supportive atmosphere always present there. From the senior management to the housekeeping associates, everyone always has a welcoming smile, a kind word, an expression of concern or understanding. The staff conducts themselves in the most professional manner but does it in a way that conveys kindness. But it is not just the Atrial personnel that makes Atria special. It is also the residents. Warm and friendly - always quick with a nice word or a complement. This is no pushover crowd, however. When there is a compliant or issue, the residents address it forcefully, but it is addressed and corrected, where possible, just as forcefully by the staff. This place is home. I am reassured that my mother is so happy, safe and content there.

My mom has lived at Atria Tanglewood for a year and a half. The place is beautiful! The staff are always willing to help with anything we need. The place is immaculately clean- yesterday I saw a staff member cleaning the baseboards in the hallways. There is a peace of mind I get knowing that my mom is in a place where everyone cares. And best yet, she has made some friends at the Atria, and has many opportunities to be social. Funny thing, we can never reach her by phone, she is hardly ever in her apartment because she is always OUT BEING SOCIAL! Thanks, Tanglewood Atria!

My mother was a resident at the Atria Tanglewood from January 2011- February 2012;when she passed away suddenly. I cannot express the gratitude that i have for the staff at the Atria.My mother did not transition well to assisted living due to cognitive changes she had post emergency surgery. She was very anxious, and did not like to be left alone. At times she called out , was stubborn with care and could be outwardly beligerant to staff. That didn't matter. The staff treated my mom with the utmost respect. Instead of insisting taht she leave or that the facility couldn't manage her; Larisa Kostal recommended trying a 1:1 aide to help mom transition It was then that an angel entered our lives. Ms. June Groves , an aide from the Sterling Glen Agency stayed with my mother 12 hours a day ;6 days a week. Ms. Pam Gordon , another wonderful aide covered the other days and was taking care of my mother on the day she passed away suddenly. These 2 women have to be commended for their outstanding care and compassion.I would like to also just name several other people ;special to my heart ;including Larisa, Amy (RN in Wellness), Patricia and Doris in Wellness , Helen,CNA;,Dr.Derovira and,Rachel(RN), There are many more that I am sure that I am forgetting,including Engaged Life Staff and Dining Room staff. Please forgive me! As a healthcare professional working with the geriatric population myself, I know what a challenge it can be. Atria @ Tanglewood far surpassed my expectations.

My father's last years were spent at Atria Tanglewood where he received excellent support. Despite bouts with dementia and other ailments the staff always maintained the utmost respect and professional care for him, something a child wants for their parents in their later years. It is a difficult decision to remove a loved from their home and place them into a new living situation. But we knew that Atria was the right choice for Dad from when we first arrived at the facility. We met with Theresa Ahern who was very helpful, kind and understanding of our situation and we loved the facility and its amenities. She was instrumental in our decision to choose Atria Tanglewood for Dad. She is truly a kind and genuine person. Atria Tanglewood was a much smaller and personable facility than the others we had seen; and an easier transition for Dad. Over time, we grew to know and love Scott Eliscu who helped us with many issues to aid in Dad's transition. Scott is a remarkable person with great people skills and was very understanding and supportive and always there for us. He is a great asset to the Atria family and we were and are grateful to have known him. We would also like mention that Larissa and Amy (RN) were also helpful in our times of need. In closing, Dad was not at Atria for a long time, approximately a year before his passing, and knowing the staff that he was surrounded by, we never had to worry about his well-being. We would definitely recommend Atria Tanglewood to anyone who may be faced with the same situation we were. Although my Dad has sadly, passed away, I feel compelled to describe how wonderful his stay at Atria was...We all loved being there with him..That was his happiest time and he only wanted to live longer so he could return to Atria and all the friends he had made there..The atmosphere at Atria Tanglewood is supportive and loving..All the residents are relaxed and well taken care of..My only regret is that I didn't bring him to Atria sooner...Atria welcomes the families of residents whole heartedly..I was a part of the Atria community as I visited just about everyday...We enjoyed all the parties, festivals, and the entertainment was amazing!! Many talented singers came and sang to the residents. Volunteers also added to the community by helping to create the decorations, games and parties enjoyed by the residents and their families...Although all the staff at Atria are friendly and efficient, I would like to mention how special your Director Larissa Kostal is....She worked very closely with us during Dad's stay at Atria and even after we were forced to move him, due to medical complications, she offered us her expertise, compassion, and support...To this day, whenever I drive by the Atria Tanglewood, I remember fondly the good times we had, and wish Dad could still be there...I highly recommend this extraordinary place to you and your loved ones...

My mother spent the last six months of her life at the Atria Tanglewood. It was a difficult decision, but she needed round the clock observation due to the effects of two strokes. Her family was with her every day, but could not be there 24 hours each day due to work and childcare obligations. Atria Tanglewood was the perfect fit. Mom had independence within an environment that was properly monitored and controlled, and the two times her health failed, the Atria staff immediately got emergency help and got Mom to the hospital. The food was great, surroundings clean and beautiful, medical monitoring excellent, and the staff was uniformly professional and kind. Larissa Kostal was the most exceptional of a great Atria Tanglewood team. Larissa is fantastic at dealing with the needs of the elderly. She is bright, personable and expert at the technical aspects of her work in the elder care field. More importantly, Larissa is compassionate and dedicated. She took a special interest in mom's day to day care, watched out for her, and was there with suggestions that benefitted mom. I was both surprised and comforted when Larissa showed up at mom's wake and shared some very kind words about the times she spent talking with mom. Her words were heartfelt. It was Larissa's presence that turned Atria Tanglewood from a very good community into an exceptional one for my mother. The final days of my mother were more happy, secure and comfortable because Larissa extended herself. She made great recommendations, kept a watchful eye on my mother , and was very kind and concerned. As an attorney in the elder law field, it is always encouraging to see those rare few on the care giving side of the elder law equation who treat it as more than just a job. For these rare few, caring for the elderly on a day to day basis is a calling to make the lives of others easier. For Larissa, caring for the elderly is not just a job ---- it is her vocation. She has not only my highest recommendation on a professional level, but my respect and appreciation on a personal level. Atria Tanglewood is a great choice for a loved one who needs that bit of "extra" care when medical issues require more help than your family can give. Atria Tanglewood is tops.

The exceptional staff of the Atria Tanglewood have earned my admiration and respect from day one. Their welcoming attitude toward my mom and all of her gifts and talents was so very refreshing. From Ellie's calls to get us set up for tours and information, to Theresa's care and concern, Scott's involvement in all of the transition efforts to Larissa's herculean efforts. I can't say enough about all of the wonderful folks. They love their jobs and their goodness makes them shine.
