Very clean with a friendly caring staff. First time visiting my friend's friend I haven't seen in decades, suffering from dementia. I know it is a huge comfort for my friend that her friend is well cared for here. The only thing that kept me from five stars is I am big on outdoors & I wish they were able to wheel residents more to the beach boardwalk which would feed their souls, as well as sunlight for their eyes and bones, since it is such a wonderfully located facility just a block or 2 away from the beach boardwalk.

My stay at the Grandell was excellent. I was recuperating from surgery. The aides, nurses, and the staff in the physical therapy room were kind, considerate and very well trained. I would highly recommend the Grandell to anyone who needed a facility for short term care.

The regular staff on 4W Rehab floor are amazing. They care genuinely for the patients and help them recover. They work as a great team. The regular nurses on 4W are just as amazing. They are attentive to the patients health needs and are on top of any situation that may arise. The nursing supervisors are great, especially Stephanie D. She cares not only about the patients physical health but also about their mental health. Administration and social workers are helpful from the moment you arrive until discharge. The physical and occupational therapists are the best I've dealt with in my life. They are very encouraging and supportive. There are great programs for patients who are Jewish that desire to attend. The recreational staff make sure there are a variety of activities throughout the week to participate in. I would definitely recommend Grandell to anyone who needs either rehab or nursing home care.

I have had many meetings and today was a team care meeting. All the staff are pleasant and say the right things but I question the Recreation dept because my plea to get my wife more involved is not heard. Fact of the matter is that a rep from recreation was not in attendance today .

My mother is a resident at Grandell. I would just like to send out a big "Thank you to the Grandell staff." I would like to highlight the work of Sherely Edouard. She is a Recreation Aide. Every time I go to visit my mom she is engaging with the residents. Ms. Sherley, is encouraging the residents to complete puzzles and work with other table manipulatives. She also, takes them outside to get fresh air. Ms. Sherley, is a credit to the Grandell staff and I greatly appreciate what she does for my mom and other residents.

Nice employees! I was treated well when visiting my friend, plus they laughed at my jokes = extra points! The facility itself though is quite dated. In need of a modern #rehab. Kitchen closes too early! Y'all should also coordinate with a local taxi service to provide priority transport for visitors!

very happy with the way Grandell is helping my daughter Jacqueline. All the aides and physical therapists are very professional and wonderful. Her nurse Opal is terrific and her social worker Joslyn is outstanding, advising us and getting us help.The folks in the business office are very understanding and helpful. The whole operation is very professional and well trained, every one is compassionate,loving and friendly. It keeps a lot of stress and worry away knowing the Grandell staff is there for is.

Everyone at Grandell were supportive, attentive snd caring yo my mother in law. I would like to give a shout out to all departments, nursing, PT/OT, in particular Joanne Pavia and Ovidio Restrepo and Tomiko who went above and beyond. My mother in law did not want to come home.

Great facility. Nice and helpful staff and very friendly. Very clean facility as well. Easy to park and accessible and Right next to the ocean. If you have a loved one there, they seem to take great care.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and filled with natural light. The communal areas are inviting and encourage social interaction among patients, fostering a strong sense of community. One of the standout features of The Grandell is their state-of-the-art rehabilitation gymnasium, which includes a fifty-five-foot ceiling-based rail system. This innovative equipment greatly helped my cousin in regaining his confidence and mobility. The diverse range of activities and programs, including occupational, physical, and speech therapy, provided comprehensive support for his rehabilitation journey. The meals at The Grandell are another highlight. My cousin is a vegetarian and also diabetic, and the culinary team met every dietary need with ease. My husband entered rehab on April 15; after being in the hospital 13 days. The care he received from the moment he entered; till he was discharged; today has been great. From the director of admissions, to the janitorial staff, everyone was pleasant and friendly. I can't say enough for the nursing staff, especially Opal; the head nurse, and mckenzie, my husbands main nurse. Nelly was the aide All the nurses and Aides were just so warm, and genuinely caring. Ive never seen nursing home nurses so dedicated to their jobs, always cheerful, always smiling. For jewish patients, they have services nearly every day. He was there over passover, and four seder ceremonies were held. One each night early and one each night later. They were very nice.The recreation staff brought the clients downstairs and brought them back up. They also were there to make sure everyone had their own seder plate and grape juice. The physical therapy staff was AMAZING. Every physical therapist had a slight variation of how they did things, but all working towards the common goal; of providing therapy to reach your maximum potential. The Occupational therapy staff were again, working to maximize your potential. I would definitely, most positively recommend this facility if anyone needs a facility for rehab or live out your years. It is clean, and comfortable, and people are very friendly.
