My Mom has been here for 3 months now. The staff is very nice and very accommodating. The building is clean and beautiful. I highly recommend Sunrise of Huntington.

My mother passed away last month and was 91 years old. Mom spent her last year at Sunrise Senior Living on West Hills Road in Huntington in the Reminiscence (memory) unit. The excellent staff and management including Linda and Danielle provided my mother the best quality of life and treated her with respect and dignity. The staff and management worked closely with our family to provide the necessary adjustments as her conditioned changed over the last 12 months. They were very open to suggestions and very responsive. I highly recommend Sunrise Senior Living to any family looking to provide a safe home and community for their loved one.

My mother had been at Sunrise of Huntington almost a year now and we are very pleased with the facility and the level of care my mother is receiving. The staff is professional, kind, caring and empathic to my mothers worsening condition. I feel very grateful for their attentiveness to my mother and their kindness to me. I would highly recommend Sunrise if a love one needs quality care in a beautiful and caring facility. I could never provide my mother this level of care on my own..

I moved my mother to Sunrise in their memory care unit in mid December. It was a difficult time (especially over the holidays) considering that she had lived on her own since my fathers passing and is very independent. It was painfully obvious that her declining condition required 24/7 professional care. The staff at Sunrise made for an easy transition and they continue to demonstrate care, compassion, patience and understanding. I receive calls every week updating me on her progress which is appreciated. It’s comforting to know that my mother is in a safe place, eating healthier and given the closer proximity, is now able to see our family and her grandchildren more frequently. Thank you and Kudos to the Sunrise team!

When my siblings and I started looking at Assisted Living facilities for Mom we weren't sure what to expect. After visiting a number of facilities in Central and Western Suffolk we saw a few common themes. 1) Assisted Living on Long Island is NOT an inexpensive undertaking. 2) Not all facilities are at the same level and the nicer ones tended to have a higher price tag. When we learned that a new Assisted Living was opening up nearby my house we walked into the appointment fully expecting our budget to be blown out of the water. A brand new building with an established brand? Staff members that care about their residents? A separate memory care unit upstairs if Mom's needs moved in that direction? We were a bit shocked when the pricing came back as less than a few other places we looked at. After Mom moved in we knew we made the right choice. As one staff member said, "Your Mom doesn't live in our facility. We work in her home." She has been well cared for there. The staff have been friendly, helpful, communicative, and knowledgeable through out all of interactions. There have been minor hiccups along the way but, working with the team at Sunrise, we have so far been able to address them all. We wanted a place for Mom to be safe and cared for. We got that as well as a new home for her

The facility has been a "major disappoint" to me. Having worked in hospital administration for over 30 years, I recognize there will be problems attracting competent staff, in this environment. There have been "many instances" where my mother had waited "hours" to receive care. (At the time, my mother was confined to a wheelchair, and was depending on aides for care). The facility states that they will respond within "7 mins" of a help button being pressed. My mother called me, and I called the facility. The person I spoke to said they would be in to help her momentarily. I called my mother, and remained on the phone until someone arrived. (55minutes). The facility also imposes arbitrary fees , (almost one thousand $ per month), whenever they need to generate more income. The last increase was titled an "assessment fee "which was explained to be a way to attract aides, which were lost during COVID. This monetary expense should not be passed on to existing residents. (They don't even wait for your anniversary date). I would certainly not recommend this facility to anyone wheelchair bound, and would think twice before sending anyone ambulatory, unless you don't mind being monetarily abused.
