My mom stayed here for over two years. The aides were fantastic to her. She was able to walk again with the help of PT and she enjoyed the meals and her hot chocolate! Medical staff made sure her medications were up to date and were dispensed on time. Obviously "Home" is always the best choice but when that option can not be a reality; this is a wonderful second choice. It was clean and warm. She had all the comforts of home. Most important, as long as Mom was happy that eliminated the stress on all of us!

My mother-in-law has been at Valley Vista for about a year. She is a very difficult woman, and the staff and administration have gone out of their way to accommodate her. They handled all the paperwork to apply for Medicaid. All her care needs are being met, the facility seems clean and well-run, and my wife and I are thankful to have a place like this, that we can afford, to take care of Mom.

Nice family owned place, very beautiful area. The owners are constantly there and the father in summer I hear sometimes works there 5/7 days himself! Board games, books, recliners, and even Televisions! Place is a bit old fashioned for my taste, but overall is a great establishment!

Pretty cool place, owner is very nice. Staff used to be a little rude but the new staff are more kindhearted. My grandfather used to live very happily there, he would sit near the willow tree at the pond.

The staff were really helpful when my husband needed assistance with his father-in-law. This is the right place that provides more professional, personable & caring staff! Really appreciate our old friend who recommended us of Valley Vista. Whenever there was any needs of my husband's father-in-law, they always timely found good solution. Last time when my husband and I were visiting him, he wanted to take a shower, but we found there was a problem with the internal calling system, their tech staff coordinated with the device company right away while another two staff took care of his shower needs. The system functions were all recovered in about one and a half hours. Very impressive! With the time, not only was their assistance invaluable to us but we learned a lot about how we could better take care of and understand what he was going through at the time.

There is so much here that needs to be fixed 1) communication- i would call to speak to an administrator regarding some serious issues we were having with various incidents. My concsrns were apparently never passed on to the one person who coukd "fix: it. 2) They are understaffed 3) some of the aides were extremely rude to the residents. This was theit care aides as well as the staff in the cafeteriam 4) medtechs and sometimes CNA hand out meducation,just based on recent incidences it is obvious that they are not trained properly 5) they "ran" out of glucose tests strips therefor did not test a diabetic for two days. 6) did not give medications because patient came in after they were done handing out meds. BE VERY SPECIFIC when asking questions, a great number of the residents are in some stage of dementia. There was actual fighting in the dinning hall,which is another story. The residents do not have the.privacy they areentitled to. "WANDERERS walking into ither residents rooms. Was tild by upper staff not to worry because he has dementia and is harmless. Bottom line until their "act" IS CLEARED UP STAY AWAY!! WE pulled our lived one out!!
