My wife was admitted to Absolut in early February of '25. Her health was deteriorating rapidly due to very late stage ovarian cancer. When I first walked in a was taken back by the appearance. Didn't look like it had an update in 20 years. After a couple days I saw what type of staff worked here. I saw caring, compassionate people who completely surprised me with the attention my wife received. Not as a test but one night I had a friend volunteer to sit with my wife. On my way out I asked this tiny, tattooed aide if she would clean up and make my wife comfortable for the night. I hadn't asked but my friend commented on how well the two aides made my semi- conscious wife clean and comfortable, and what exceptional care they used. The appearance of this facility is dated. The staff is beyond wonderful. Mike in PT treated my wife so well and did nothing but encouraged her, even knowing her prognosis. The staff I cannot thank them enough. I knew what was coming, the staff did also but the care was wonderful. George Noon

My sister had Brain surgery and was shipped to two hospitals. Had a Brain bleed and swelling they did not report to her brain surgeon. Just keep saying she wasn't applying herself. Praise God for Mike and Buffy in physical therapy. Nursing care was Excellent Saved her life as God had the lead were to go. I can't say enough of the professional staff there. Best nursing home and PT !!! Prayers for our church and friends. Thank you all. She is still there but trust them with care of my lovely sister. Gasport Absolute care is very good!!!!!

Being put in a rest home is difficult, I still have a bit of a bad taste in my mouth about it, however my two daughters live no where close to here so what were they to do? Firstly, I want to give this "rest home" Five stars for most everything, except of course the food. (Sorry, the staff here cannot be beat, the word that comes to mind is exceptional and I mean that. So, if your looking to shove poor old Mom into a "rest home" this would be valid consideration. Carol j. Harris

I spent 4 days here about 5 years ago, while convalescing after a total knee replacement. I was as could as it could be under the circumstances. The physical therapist were great. Actually all the staff were great. The food was palatable, certainly not gourmet, but it is a healthcare facility. I friend of mine has been there for the last two months recovering from a broken ankle and femur. He seems quite comfortable, if not anxious to be home soon.

My grandfather was here for rehab after a valve replacement surgery and this place is awesome! He was very happy here and recouped very quickly! Highly recommend!

I am relieved. My friend on 43 years had to go into a nursing home at the age of 59. She absolutely loves this Nursing Home. I can't believe it, it's surreal. She tells me it feels like a "family". That they take good care of her and are lovely to her. When she arrived they had a welcome packet which included a stuffed bear and an adult coloring book with pencils. They put bird food outside to attract squirrels for the clients to watch. They have two therapy dogs in physical therapy. She said if she doesn't like a meal they will bring an alternative. She talks about every single department being nice to her from the cleaning crew, the kitchen staff, receptionist (JoAnn, an aide named Michael, the nurses (personally spoke with Amanda), the social worker (Randi), the PT (Jeremy). They even sent an aide with her to go to her urologist appt. Went to her old apartment and picked up her electric wheelchair, trapeze bar & walker. They have bingo night, mass & movie night. They use real linen in their dining rooms. She said she sits at a table with very nice people to interact with at breakfast, lunch & dinner. I called the place & the administrator Isaac answered the phone! My friend knows him by name. He's gone and seen her. She got a free coupon for a hair cut from the salon their! She stayed at home for 20 years with MS and had an aide. Now it seems as if she has 20 aides. She is the happiest I've seen her in years. I know this sounds like a "plant" review. But I am just a regular person who is so thankful that my long time friend has found a place that she feels like she belongs to and that they take care of her. We were going to have her transferred to something closer to family and friends but she doesn't want to go. She likes it there.
