July 2021
My Dad has been at the Bristal in East Meadow for about a year (during the pandemic). I cannot say enough how smoothly and efficiently the move was. My siblings and I were a little apprehensive at first about how he would handle living in an assisted living facility. The staff were very attentive to his needs from minute one. He has made many friends and is constantly engaged. Were happy because hes happy and thriving. Abdul and Gina have been a delight to work with and have been so accommodating. Cant say enough amazing things about the rest of the staff. Highly recommend!!

My mother moved into the Bristal-East Meadow in March 2018. Within a very short time, her spirit and overall well-being improved dramatically. She embraced this change and adapted quickly as the environment is warm and friendly. The staff, at all levels, are well-trained specialists who are laser-focused on the quality of life for the residents and conduct themselves with kindness and understanding at all times. They partnered with my family to understand my mothers needs and preferences. My siblings and I and are very grateful for the lifestyle the Bristal-East Meadow offers and for my mothers happiness during her senior years.

April 2019 we joined the Bristal East Meadow community. It is hard to believe its been over a year already. After 57 years of my parent living in a private home - its the best thing that has happened to our family! The staff is first and foremost caring and compassionate - from Community Services, to Wellness to Facility Maintenance - its a lovely atmosphere to socialize, be culturally and mentally stimulated - and the food is great too! Of course March 2020 and COVID19 changed the norm at The Bristal - the residents have been carefully cared for, kept safe in their apartments and as best the staff can - entertained following CDC rules. Its been difficult not seeing our family in person, but through virtual visits, as well as waving through windows and window screen visits, we have been able to stay close and connected and safe. We get daily emails with COVID19 updates and the staff, including the Director is responsive to questions. THANK YOU to The Bristal East Meadow for all you did to welcome us last year, and for your current efforts to keep all the residents and your staff as safe as possible.

The Bristal (East Meadow) provided years of outstanding support and cheerful assistance to two of our beloved family members: my mother-in-law and more recently, my mother. The staff throughout the facility has been outstanding, and when our parents transitioned to the Reflections memory unit, they were cared for by personnel who were attentive, gentle, and professional in every respect. We are grateful for the assistance provided by each and all of those dedicated individuals.

My 92 year-old uncle has been living at the Bristal at East Meadow for the last seven years. To say the staff has become like family is an understatement. My uncle never married and has no children of his own, so I and my family look after him and knowing he is living with his Bristal family certainly puts our minds and hearts at ease because we know he is receiving the best care possible. I always tell him that God willing I get to live to the age of 92, I hope I can live at the Bristal of East Meadow someday too!

I recently toured this assisted for my mom and dad. It is beautiful. Activities going on and so much more available than the other assisted livings I toured. The place was clean, staff was courteous and the residents looked very happy. I even met the executive director who was out talking with the people who live there. Many other places just let the residents sit and watch tv and I do not want that for my parents. Im just getting prepared but when the time comes they will be going here. I cant wait to see my parents doing more than ever with people who really work to understand their needs.

We provide clinicians to The Bristal East Meadow and it is such a pleasure to work alongside a group of individuals who are experts at what they do. Most importantly the staff puts the health and welfare of each and every resident as their primary focus. It is a privilege to work with The Bristal.

I am a Social Worker that has been working for a Home care company for 11 years. We provide Home care to many Assisted Livings. In that time, Bristal East Meadow has been one of my favorite communities to work with. There is a warm energy felt instantly when you walk through the door. I joke the reason for that is because it is the "Mom" of the Bristals, being the original one. The reality is, it is the people who work there! Our team has always admired and appreciated how easy it is to collaborate with their team to reach the same goal of enhancing the Residents quality of life. Just the other day Jaime, The Resident Relations Director reached out to an organization who helps to keep Seniors with their Pets. One of the Residents is having a tough time properly caring for their loved pet and this organization has volunteers who help with care. Jaime, in Jaime fashion, is seeking out ways to make the situation work for all involved with the Residents quality of life being at the frontline! That is just one example of why I love working with them! ??

I have had the pleasure of working with The Bristal Assisted Living at East Meadow for almost two years from the CHHA perspective. I must say that I was welcomed with open arms and heart-felt smiles. The care, respect and nurturing for the well being of the residents, in the community, is as symbolic as parents with their first born child. Executive Director, Natasha Duncan, is very involved with every aspect of the facility. She runs a very tight ship and is nothing less than a true leader and role model for all the staff involved, but most importantly, she is a friend who is approachable, influential and caring. Resident Relations Director, Jamie Senter, play an intricate role within the setting of The Bristal. Her excellent communication skills and attention to detail mentality make family members and residents feel at home. She is true friend to the families and welcomes everyone with an open heart. Director of Wellness, Sophia Royer, runs the Wellness and Reflections Departments to a perfection. Leading her staff by example and paying very close attention to all aspects of the residents and their needs is a very challenging position, and she seems to do it with ease and a shower of love. The rest of the staff at The Bristal assists in making this one of the most well-respected "Homes" in the community. No matter where you are at The Bristal, you will always see friendly smiles and hear echos of chatter and laughter . . . making anyone feel comfortable.

The Bristal of East Meadow is a wonderful community that is dedicated to providing optimal care to their residents. The Wellness Department is extremely organized, caring, and involved in current matters and preventative initiatives to all in their community.

The Bristal is an excellent facility. The place is always clean and well-maintained, and the staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive to the residents. We brought my mother there several months ago and each time I visit her in memory care, I feel very confident and assured that she is in the right place and the best place for her.
