Good rent, quiet area. Lot of weird posts on this site. One guy thinks he was profiled? This is a very mixed community here. One post complains he couldn't get into an agents car? Where was your car. Don't believe the hype folks, it's simple. All tenants must be 55 or older, one bedroom apartment at around 1270, gas, heat, hot water, and even satellite tv. The area is guiet, half of us are still working full time, although activities are scheduled during work hours so that is really for the retired neighbors. Decent heat and one parking space. No place beats the price. Bus stops right out on the main road so you don't need a car for a lot of stuff.

My fiance and I have lived in Springvale Apartments for two years. We are extremely happy with our new living space. The surround is gorgeous amid nature, cared for to the max. by a very professional maintenance staff. In the rare case when there is an issue, it is resolved almost immediately after simply making a phone call. Though strikingly serene and quiet, the neighbors are cordial and respectful. For those interested and available, activites are offered through a Senior Club, Tai Chi, Chair Yoga and Watercolor Art Class. The Senior Club is community run very professionally, and the instructors are highly skilled. In addition, there is a library, a studio space, a club room, and a White Elephant shop open to residents. Though my favorite spot is the main gazebo (as there are several) featured on the website. I sit there as often as possible to regroup, with a picturesque view of the Hudson River. It is always available and never crowded. While peeking over the trees, I practice gratitude, that I have the great fortune to live in such a spectacular and affordable place!

Where are these people above me living? Can't be Springvale apts. That place is a dump. Super old Apts that breed all sorts of pests inside and out. Unless it breaks, landlord will not replace anything. So, old everything. I have never see one apt look like the ones in their pictures on website. Don't let the staff fool you with their kind caring. They are out to make a.buck off then low-income residents and really not give anything in return. Don't live there please. You will thank me.

Love this place! Wonderful memories when I was young coming to my Grandmas new spacious apartment! Room for furniture & 2 cats! What a wonderful place for the over 55 to live! Close to restaurants,grocery store close by- pharmacy delivery daily❤️

I've lived at Springvale for two years now and I couldn't be happier with my choice. Tina, in the rental office showed such care and consideration when I applied. The maintenance crew are on call at all hours and respond in a timely manner. The grounds are kept with attentive care, creating a beautiful environment. The amenities offered are inclusive and supportive of its denizens. It's a wonderful place to live.

My wife and I were living in Queens, NY, when, in Nov. 2007, my father passed away in upstate NY and we needed to move closer to my Mom to help take care of her. Both my wife and I independently came to the conclusion that moving to an adult community would best serve our interests. In January, 2008, an ad for Springvale Apt.'s caught our attention and we decided to take a look. If the area was beautiful during the winter, then it would surely be that much nicer the rest of the year. We made an appt. and, sure enough, we were not disappointed! We signed a lease and were moved in by February. Initially, we thought we would use Springvale as a staging area and eventually move somewhere closer to my Mom. Well, we stayed OVER 15 YEARS! Springvale, in Croton On Hudson, has everything we could have wanted or needed at our disposal -- parking for your car, mass transit, access-a-rides (practically door-to-door), Metro-North Railroad 1 1/2 miles away, easy access to shopping and just about anything else you could want. Add to that great neighbors, beautiful walks along the Hudson River, and, MOST importantly, the excellent Management Office, led by Tina Zerello, and the ultra-professional Maintenance Office, who diligently maintain Springvale Apt.'s high standards and quality of life. A special word of thanks should go to Tina and the exceptional property management staff for their care and attention to their tenant's needs, ensuring and maintaining the appeal and standard of living that we have enjoyed there. Alas, due to age and family, we have had to move after these 15+ years. We will miss our friends, including staff, and will treasure the fond memories. Funny... I can't seem to get the song, "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do", out of my head... (...sigh..!)

I made an appointment, traveled fairly far to see apartment but when I arrived Tina said she could not put me in her car to view per covid (2+years out). Not to mention she had just dropped someone off from her car moments earlier. Grounds are not as nice as photos. I did get lucky to see inside a unit that someone offered to show me. They are very old and not such a great layout.

This is more of a comment. I believe that every review that has been posted is completely true. My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting the property on one occasion and yes, the property is beautiful, I especially fell in love with the view from the gazebo magnificent! However, we've received the feeling of being stereotyped, for lack of better terms. I wasn't sure if my income was too high because we meet the age criteria. We are still waiting for a response from an application that we submitted earlier this year (2022) along with the application fee. Upon the initial meeting, management appeared to be very friendly, but it seems after our application was submitted everything changed within the office. In any event Springvale is a beautiful place to reside and for a couple like us who are empty nesters, looking to coast into retirement and searching for a place where the environment is beautiful as well as peaceful, we feel Springvale is the place to be especially for my wife who has be diagnosed with stage four liver, lung and gall bladder cancer. Still deserve five stars.

Tina Zerello has been excellent to our family. She has a very busy position involving many residents and many daily responsibilities. My mother was going through a serious, stressful situation before she moved to Springvale, as her previous residence was completely destroyed by a condo fire. Her first call with Tina put her at ease, as she was very kind and was concerned about Mom's situation. Though she did not immediately have an apartment available, she created a perfect solution 2 days later. Tina's kindness and thoughtfulness was a boost to Mom's frame of mind. Her help was very much appreciated, and since then, we have met and spoken with her. Tina always finds time to help and assist, and continues to go above and beyond. My sister and I praise and thank Tina for her excellent work ethic and kindness to the Springvale community.

I have been in my apartment at Springvale Apartments for six years now and I absolutely love it here. Everyone who works in the office at Springvale and Maintenance are excellent. Whenever there is a problem in the apartment I can either call or email maintenance and it is fixed in a timely manner. The maintenance workers, electrician, carpenters everyone are respectable and pleasant. I have never regretted for one moment moving here to Springvale Apartments.

I have been a resident at Springvale Apartments for fifteen years. I currently live in a one bedroom, first floor unit with open patio which affords me a relaxing space to take advantage of the beautiful evening sunsets overlooking the Hudson River. I find Springvale to be a very safe environment with friendly and helpful neighbors. The office and maintenance staff are available 24-7 and always willing to help from taking care of the beautiful grounds, collecting trash and recycles weekly to plowing walks and parking spaces in the winter. Staff is always available for repairs in my apartment if and when needed. Laundry facilities are available and easily accessible and local bus transportation handy if needed. I am looking forward to many more happy years at Springvale - Carrolita Porter

I moved to Springvale to be closer to my mother who lived there. The community is quiet and everyone is respectful of their neighbor. I have met some wonderful people. I really enjoy nature there.... the birds, deer, cats and dogs are so much a part of life at Springvale. Lets not forget the magnificent views of the Hudson River! Whether it be daytime or sunset, it is truly breathtaking. Tina, her staff, the maintenance department have always been friendly, polite and helpful. I cant thank them enough for all they do and their hard work. Springvale is convenient. Its close to MetroNorth, NYC, Yankee Stadium, restaurants in Croton, Ossining, Briarcliff Manor. Music venues in Tarrytown, Peekskill are all just a stones throw away. There are plenty of activities if you are looking for something to do. I would highly recommend giving Springvale a try. Youll soon love it as much as I do.

I have lived at Springvale for 1 year. If you are over 55 and looking for a wonderful place to live, Springvale is it. I have been a renter all my life. Never have I seen anything like the service you receive. From the Front Office to the Maintenance Staff it seems like they all cant do enough for you. The winter snow removal is not to be believed. You know how important that is to us over 55s. They have someone 24, 7 if you need them, like the time I locked my keys in my apartment at 6:15 a.m. and a gentleman came within 10 minutes to open my door. Again, you wont be sorry you joined us at Springvale.

From my first phone call with Tina in the rental office to inquire about an apartment, to my subsequent move in day, the experience has been a pleasant one. Tina and her staff made the entire process swift and painless, and ultimately offered me a beautiful apartment that exceeded my expectations. I hadnt moved in many years so Tinas kindness and attention to my needs was greatly appreciated. The grounds are beautiful, immaculate, and its clear that the tenants well being is the priority. Its pet friendly here as well! Springvale is a quiet, quaint, friendly place to live!

Springvale Apartments is a lovely place to live. It is so peaceful and quiet here. There is beautiful landscaping and lovely views. The management and on-site 24-hour maintenance staff is top-notch. The pet policy is an added blessing. We also have our own private dog park. I love living here.
