We recently helped my Aunt relocate to the Elliot at Catskill and I can’t say enough about how kind everyone was. Julia was absolutely wonderful. She showed us what a lovely place the Elliot is. I am thrilled that my aunt has so many choices of activities and that there is a large enough population that she can meet many people if she chooses. Her room is very nice and the entire staff is very friendly.

Our 91 year old entered The Eliot today and when she broke down in sobbing tears it was Jules Dragon, the admissions director who came to the rescue. I was at my wit’s end but Jules worked her magic with sensitivity and kindness and before we knew it Aunt Annie was smiling and beginning to make new friends. Everyone at The Eliot showed kindness and caring above and beyond to help us transition our aunt today. Ben and Linden helped us move in her belongings and the staff was so welcoming. We are relieved to know that Aunt Annie will no longer be living alone but will be safe and cared for at The Eliot. We can’t thank them enough.

The supervisors and social worker were amazing and very thorough. I left there with no questions and non worries. The maintenance staff were very helpful in unload my vehicle and bringing my mothers belongings to her room. The experience was better than expected.

I was recently hired as a supervisor here and they have a wonderful team of people that really care about their residents!! Ive loved working with this company from the start and noticed right away that the administrator wants nothing but the best for all residents here. Shes been here for over a decade and has direct resident-care experience herself, which makes her an even stronger advocate for our residents. In my experience, this is rare quality in high-level administration. I would happily place my family member here.

I started here a month ago, I have worked for different facilities over 15 years. This place shocked me, if a department needed help for some reason everyone pitches in, including management which is unheard of in most places. There is no cliqueiness, no one comes across as being better than someone else. Everyone is smiling and works well together. I had a family emergency come up last minute and they were more concerned about me than the hours. Telling me to take care of everything here they got this. They even checked in with me after hours. Again thats instead of. Im extremely lucky to work here with this team. They case deeply for their community they care for as well.

The pandemic over the last year has been hard but the administration team has been reassuring in all their efforts to keep the residents safe and still having family involvement through video calls. It is comforting knowing that there are plans going to be put in place once family visits are allowed again.

I am grateful to have found the Eliot. We needed a fast quality housing solution for a good friend who is 90. We started with Cares.com who recommended the Eliot. Once we had a virtual tour the staff walked us through the necessary steps. The Eliot staff really helped us from beginning to the day we moved our friend into his lovely new room. Thanks so much

After conducting many interviews with assisted living facilities, I chose the Eliot. It was originally because of their friendliness and cleanliness that surpassed other facilities. But after visit two very close friends of mine Over 6 years, they have consistently proved their high level of professionalism , kindness and concern for their residents. Just a few weeks ago I was concerned about my friend during this Covid lockdown . I reached out to the kitchen director, Michelle to ask her if she knew how my friend was. She set up a FaceTime call while serving him breakfast just so I could physically see him and know he was doing well. These little acts of kindness go a very long way during these tough times. Their staff is priceless ! And when you want the best for your family-friend, the Eliots staff always came through ! Thank you for all you do !

It was a hard decision for our family to have to find an assisted living facility for our Mom. The Eliot has a great balance of assistance when needed while maintaining independence in a private room. I cant say enough about the staff and how they care for my mom so much. Their communication and precautions during COVID-19 have been excellent and although I cant visit because of the Governors orders, I know she is being well taken care of.

Excellant facility with caring staff!! I can personally speak of the tireless dedication of Rebecca Linscott. Not only does she go above and beyond for her residents, but she also works hard to ensure community involvement. From purchasing wreaths from the hs honor society at christmas to helping plan carnivals and ice cream socials, to a community day, she works hard to maintain a sense of community.

This Beautiful place is A wonderful home for your loved ones, wonderful food, great activities, its on the green county bus line. The staff are all wonderful and the Administrator who runs the building advocates for her residents 100% and then some! Great upgrades and remodeling of the building By the way!

The Eliot has a great balance of assistance when needed while maintaining independence in a private room. I cant say enough about the staff and how they care for my mom so much. The staff genuinely care for the residents that resides there, and do what they can to make their stay a very warm and welcome one. The facility strives to include every resident by providing events in-house, as well as establishing trips to various places around the area. My mom is enjoying living at The Eliot very much. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the activities director plans a wide array of activities for all to enjoy. Recently, my mom attended the "Senior Prom" and had an amazing time; but daily activities like yoga, crafts, or just enjoying the peace of the lovely solarium bring her so much joy. It is tough keeping in touch with her because she is always out and about doing something! When we do have time for a chat, she has countless stories about various entertainments, shopping trips or just enjoyable interactions with residents and staff. When she is happy, I'm happy; and The Eliot has made that happiness possible. Many thanks!

My mom lovingly calls The Eliot her home. They provide her with confidence to stay as active and mobile as possible. The daily activities provide her the stimulation to participate and interact with other residents. The social interaction rounds out her life at The Eliot and is very important.

We were rushed to make a decision about where our mom would go when it became apparent she couldn't take care of herself any longer in Brooklyn. The people at "A Place for Mom" recommended a few places in our area. When I traveled to The Eliot at Catskill I felt very quickly that it was the right place. Other places had no outdoor areas or walking paths-the Eliot had both.It's clean ,well maintained and the staff is fabulous. We are constantly thankful to the way they respond to all situations from real emergencies to just a bad day. For the first time in years she gets her medications on time and eats meals at regular times. We are particularly fond of Takeesha who is a sunny presence on any day and always puts a smile on Mom's face. The whole staff is the real reason to feel confident about the care she's receiving. We thank them all.

I have been an employee at the Eliot for some time now .Although my position may be a bit stressful at times, nothing makes my day more pleasant than being able to stop what I'm doing and share a special moment or story from one of my residents !!!
