My sister is a resident at the Eliot and is generally happy with the assisted living facility. There have been problems in the past but they have all been resolved. The management listens to my concerns and call me when necessary. She enjoys the activities they provide and the residents she socializes with every day.

Beautiful clean place with super compassionate staff. I was fortunate enough to play some music for a ribbon cutting ceremony last week. I have also spent a lot of time there visiting a very dear friend who is a resident there. The world needs more places like this one.

I had an opportunity to tour The Eliot at Catskill during a ribbon cutting and open house event. The renovation is really beautiful! The common spaces are light filled and spacious. I particularly liked a lounge area on the first floor where residents can engage in all kinds of activities - the activity calendar included something for everyone. It was a very cozy space. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful.

The Athens Community Food Pantry attended The Eliot's open house earlier in the week. Our pantry attended because the Eliot has been a huge help by donating reusable bags for our pantry guests. The facility was absolutely lovely - clean, spacious. What was wonderful to see was some of the residents participating in the open house. We took part of the tour and it was really nice to hear how the residents are cared for, the numerous activities and community areas that are available. We were very impressed!!

I took a tour of The Eliot Facility today. The love that I saw from the staff to the residents made my heart full. The rooms were beautiful with views of the courtyard and large bathrooms. Truly a beautiful facility with a tremendous, loving and caring staff.

The facility is very clean and while I was visiting every staff member I encountered was very kind and friendly and they treated the clients there with respect. This is one of the cleanest facilities I have been too and it seems like they go above and beyond for their residents. My mom is a resident there and she is thriving now compared to how she used to be.

Recently, we were able to get a room for my aunt at the Eliot. I can not speak highly enough on how helpful they have been in helping us through the process and all the arrangements. At the same time my aunt moved in, my mother (her sister) requested she would like to go as well. Kim Conlin (Director of admissions) worked her magic and reserved the additional space in my aunt's room for my mother! Now the sisters are together! I highly recommend you take a look at the Eliot, if a loved one is thinking about assisted living.

I went to tour the facility last week and felt at home the moment I walked in the doors. Kimberly in admissions was very thorough and very knowledgeable and answered all of my concerns. The facility is very clean and so bright and inviting. I am very happy to be able to make this my new home

I have only been here a few weeks. However, I feel like it's home. The staff are friendly and willing to help in any way they can. The majority of residents are happy and very glad to have so many activities to go too. From games like scrabble and uno competitions to bible study, jewelry making and crafts, movies, nail polishing and hair dresser, makes for a very busy day for a ith resident. Three very tasty hot meals in one of two dining rooms plus snacks and two country kitchens with vending machines and microwave. They dispense medications and schedule outside doctor appointments, all tests and transportation. The on-site doctor is friendly, knowledgeable and works with residents and their needs. The Eliot was my first choice for Assisted Living when looking at website and brochures. When Kimberly visited me at the Rehab facility, she was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I am very grateful to her for letting me come here to my new home.

Although it’s never easy making the best informed decision to transition your love one into an Assisted Living Facility without some sense of worrying about their well being and / or adjustment especially amongst strangers and potentially far from their homes that they’re use to residing in surrounded by family and friends for so many years, weather it’s due to their mental or physical state slowly declining yet still desiring them to hold on to their independence as much as possible. However, as a former employee from several years ago when moving to the area, it was the absolute best place then as it currently still holds this reputation today hands down with its sleek and modern new look as I had to recently make an informed decision for my love one so why not the best! The Eliot at Catskill is very clean, bright, modern and most importantly, sets a comfy yet homey atmosphere that would make anyone individual feel right at home the moment you walk into it’s doors especially with such welcoming, friendly and tentative staff their right down to the administrative team and the Director of Admissions, Kimberly Conlin who will go above and beyond to make sure your loved one is greatly cared for and in also which you don’t see often in other places that lack such significant qualities in care especially if they’re short staffed! Their is So Much that The Eliot has to offer well beyond the extent of their kindness and love with the residents there who are very happy that shows the moment you walk through their doors seeking this type of comfort and / or refuge feeling for your mom, dad, brother, sister, etc. The Eliot at Catskill not only offers warmth as a resident there but they have two dinning halls where they serve hot meals prepared by their in house chef with their displayed menus of breakfast, lunch and dinner with snacks in between, their own in house bank there, where the residents can retrieve money at their discretion given their business banking hours of course, in house physician, huge activity hall that displays a calendar of their up and coming events throughout the month their, country kitchen areas to where residents can dine independently for coffee and / or snack with family and friends as well, movie theater time, live entertainment and So Much more, etc. Believe me you would not be disappointed for the Eliot At Catskill will give you peace of mind for your love one being housed there with their own key to their residence (private and / or shared room) where they still may come and go as they please independently just like they’ve always been except with supervision. And Peace of Mind is better than having No Mind at all when making this decision for you will not be disappointed or regretful doing what you feel is best for your family member ™ Stay Blessed, y’all!

My mother has come to live here and everyone working here has been incredibly thoughtful and kind Also very helpful with the transition The other residents are kind It’s the perfect place for mom Three months later and I can’t say enough wonderful words about everyone who works there and lives there. My mom loves the roommate idea They can chitchat but they also have plenty of their own space and privacy. Mom loves the food and they are flexible for birthdays. I bought in a cake for everyone and they served it for dessert for dinner. The staff are compassionate and know you There are several options for Thanksgiving. their activities throughout the months have been fun and enjoyed by the residents. I can call with questions and nurses and administrators get back to you The receptionists are so friendly and you can call and they answer any questions. Thank you for all you do for my mother’•

We visited The Elliot Catskill this morning. I was stunned when I walked into the facility. It was bright, and the staff and residents were happy and relaxed! It was so different from other places we visited. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Julia provided us with a very comprehensive tour, introducing us to her fellow workers and several residents. She immediately put my brother-in-law at ease. By the end of the tour, he was a different person! Thank you Julia, for helping us ease him into a new home!. You and the rest of staff and residence made us all feel welcome, and comfortable with a very difficult decision. We will never forget your kindness!

The activities staff, Tammy and Lisa are wonderful. They helped mom adjust to the assisted living environment, encouraged her and got her i nvolved in so many activities. All the staff is friendly,and helpful. The environment is safe and clean. The doctor that comes and checks on the residents is wonderful and takes great care of them. Mom is very happy with him and that is saying alot because she is fussy. The food seems well balanced, but it's hard to cook the way the residents cooked for 60 to 95 years. Sometimes it's a hit or miss. Well, you can't please everyone all of the time.

The entire staff at Eliot of Catskill are very caring, pleasant, friendly and helpful. A big thank you to Julia, Assistant Director and Jennifer, Director including the Admissions Coordinator, they have been so helpful during the entire process of admitting my mom. I can’t forget to mention Melissa, Medicaid person, very knowledgable and helpful on completing the process for Medicaid. All the staff, on the day of moving my mom, were so helpful and very high spirited & cheerful. I must say all the residents are so happy living at the facility as well. The facility is affordable, well kept, clean and the rooms are spacious. I can’t thank all the employees for being so friendly and welcoming during this entire process.

We recently helped my Aunt relocate to the Elliot at Catskill and I can’t say enough about how kind everyone was. Julia was absolutely wonderful. She showed us what a lovely place the Elliot is. I am thrilled that my aunt has so many choices of activities and that there is a large enough population that she can meet many people if she chooses. Her room is very nice and the entire staff is very friendly.

Our 91 year old entered The Eliot today and when she broke down in sobbing tears it was Jules Dragon, the admissions director who came to the rescue. I was at my wit’s end but Jules worked her magic with sensitivity and kindness and before we knew it Aunt Annie was smiling and beginning to make new friends. Everyone at The Eliot showed kindness and caring above and beyond to help us transition our aunt today. Ben and Linden helped us move in her belongings and the staff was so welcoming. We are relieved to know that Aunt Annie will no longer be living alone but will be safe and cared for at The Eliot. We can’t thank them enough.

Our aunt Toni recently moved from independent living to The Eliot. We are so pleased to see Our aunt adjusting so well and is so happy. As you can imagine placing a relative in assisted-living is a very difficult decision, and after visiting several ALF’s, The Eliot was the best one hands-down. We immediately had a warm welcoming feeling with all the staff and residents we met. Julia Dragon, Director of Admissions/ Clinical Liaison is definitely an employee stand out! She made the transition super smooth. From the minute we met Julia we were impressed with her genuine, honest communication. It is very clear she loves her job, she happily answered all her questions and concerns and continues to be very reassuring and supportive.Julia is a tremendous asset to the staff at The Eliot. Six years ago I selected the Eliot at Catskill as a place to live and it more than lived up to my expectations. Room cleaning sand laundry services are excellent, staff are considerate and cheerful, and the meals are well prepared, nutritious, and varied.

Our experience with the Eliot has been very good. Making the decision to choose Assisted Living for your loved one is very difficult. We have talked extensively with Tom Rizzo and Nicole Vanalphen and we can’t say enough good things about how kind and helpful they are. The have sent us videos, pictures and met with us in person to help us choose exactly what our dad needs. Although the move hasn’t happened yet, we are confident that it will be a good one. The amenities at the Eliot are wonderful. The attention of the staff to the needs of the resident and their family are excellent.

My experience with the Eliot administration and staff has been exceptional. All at the Administrative level have gotten back to me quickly with kind and considerate concern. Speaking to me at length about my situation and problems. I was put at great ease with all their attentive help. I have two close elderly friends that now live at The Eliot. Prior to their living there, they lived alone and struggled greatly getting food and caring for themselves and their homes. Both friends now rave about how well cared for they are at The Eliot and how happy they are to be living there. I can also see for myself, they look much healthier and are happier there at the Eliot. They have wonderful attentive care by the staff, three good hot meals a day, clean rooms, clean clothes to wear everyday, and their med’s are administered to them by the staff daily. Whenever I have called the Eliot I get immediate kind, and considerate help. Whenever I visit The Eliot, all the staff help me immediately and are very considerate and helpful. I am grateful and impressed at how well everyone works at The Eliot with prompt considerate care and professionalism. It’s a pleasure to visit and see my friends there. It’s a great comfort to me that my friends now living at The Eliot are safe, happy, and well cared for.

The pandemic over the last year has been hard but the administration team has been reassuring in all their efforts to keep the residents safe and still having family involvement through video calls. It is comforting knowing that there are plans going to be put in place once family visits are allowed again.

It was a hard decision for our family to have to find an assisted living facility for our Mom. The Eliot has a great balance of assistance when needed while maintaining independence in a private room. I can’t say enough about the staff and how they care for my mom so much. Their communication and precautions during COVID-19 have been excellent and although I can’t visit because of the Governor’s orders, I know she is being well taken care of.
