Bridgewater Center has been my home for over 8 years. Staff and residents are friendly towards me. I would recommend Bridgewater Center to anyone searching for Rehabilitation or full time care.

I was there for 3 months in rehab, Rehab was wonderful. Not sure I can say much good about being on the floor, I did have a few really good aids. Ask me and I will fill you in.

My mother has been at Bridgewater for over a year, and I visit every week. Aside from a few minor inconveniences, I haven't seen anything to complain about. The staff is always helpful, and their attitude positive. Ed Edgington was a great help in navigating the financial waters, and the PT program has been a great benefit in preserving the mobility my mom still has. The staff tries to make holidays special for the residents, and a monthly calendar is posted in each room with activities available throughout the month. I'm pleased with her being there, as is she.

Horror show stay away at all cost, if you care about the person you place there. stay for about 19 hrs and had to sign myself out Against medical advice (AMA) , for my safety. Rooms are poor shape, bed mattress are shot got small bed sore after 19 hrs. shared rooms very small non handicap bath room with no shower in it and just 4ft from my bed (great smells) They did not provide dinner even after asking 3 times over 3hrs. then told kitchen was closed. Same with breakfast. Big problems with roommate making problems with staff and they could or would not deal with it. Urine peed all over floor by roommate and left on floor by staff all nights, the wiped up at 6am before new staff came on to hide what they did not do. Complained to management in morning they did not know what to say. Told me I would not be charged for the day, but they went and charge me anyway. Reported to NYS health dept. but so long as was not hurt they would do know thing about it. You have been warned stay away. Sorry about it.

One would feel more welcomed if they would look up with a smile when you come off the elevator to the unit. The staff appear to work hard and are helpful enough when you find someone who can answer your questions. The caseworkers are very busy and are understaffed on the rehab side.

I was told I had to leave because I had a service dog. The dog was not arround any resistance accept the person I was visiting which he is always arround. He did not and would not even have contact with her. As he is MY service dog and is busy attending to MY needs. It is obvious he is a service dog and obvious I can't visit my mother without him. He is impeccably clean and well behaved. I have brought him with me to every hospital and nursing home in and out of broome county without this problem. They said I needed to have a vet send in a health letter and vaccine record. That is ridiculous and I don't believe it is even legal. It is pregidous against my disability. It would be like telling someone that came in with a wheelchair that they needed a mechanic to okay it for safety to make sure you wouldn't run anyone over with it. Monday I was met by two members of administration that apologized for my being told I couldn't visit my mother with my service animal. I was assured that staff would be explained the difference between a pet and being unable to access your loved one without your service animal. I was given the number of staff personnel to contact if I had any more problems. I brought in what they asked for in order to see my mom, of course. I had a great visit that mad my worries about her stay there so much better. I still feel violated for not being able to see her right away and having to run arround getting paper work to see my mom. But, I'm glad they worked to correct it.

My only concern is that my husband gets all the clothes I left for Laundry to mark if he gets all his clothes from the laundry and marking then it will be a four star facility,the staff were very accommodating and the building appeared clean
