if u decide to come here first check this place out closely. do not believe the picture of the resident rooms. they use that as a showcase room. none other rooms look anything like that. the food is miserable and never enough. residents go hungry every night the office manager is a witch from hell who has no compassion or resident concerns. this place should be investigated

In response to dbh, not sure how you were able to see the inside of the facility in March 2021, but due to covid we still don't have visitors in the facility, if you actually visited you would be impressed with the cleanliness and the décor.

Disgusting place- looks like homeless shelter with them sitting on cars smoking, pacing parking lot, some with psychiatric issues. Looked like a nursing home not like an assisted living. Inside not any better. Would never live there!

I would like to thank the owners of the facility for the decor. I enjoy the wallpaper in my room, my new furniture, the refrigerator in my room and the microwave in all the resident lounges. -Resident of 8 years Dawn E

My brother had a stroke, and needed to be in an assisted living home. I contacted Hedgewood HFA, and he is now a resident there. His quality of life has improved since he has been at Hedgewood. I am very happy and satisfied with the care the entire staff provides for him. He is constantly telling me that he is very happy living there, and to stop worrying about him...lol.

I have been here for 2 years 10 months and I was duly elected in April of 2019 since then I have submitted on behalf of residents grievances today concerning our rights and all complaints have been substantiated the emergency system for residence when have medical problems is not in accordance with a assistance living and met has to come and sometimes is to late for them to assist them. No nurse on duty after 5 p.m. and resident as Murdoch is giving a letter of termination due to the fact I have the grievances I submitted were substantiated by dept of health and not they are retaliating against me do to such. Perfect example I was told that my room was going to be renovated and that I had to move out. And if I did not move I would get a notice for termination for 30 days so i ask for a letter from them stating reason why I was moving they stated if you don't move you are getting a notice of termination. Within a period of 30 days. Is this professional.absolutely not as resident Council president I should get the necessary respect I deserve..and all residents come me daily for there situations and I assist them. *update 10/29/2019 I am resident council president and in the time I have been here the administrators are against me for putting complaints that residence want after majority and is being utilize against me and now getting a notice of termination within 30 days. Due to the fact they fail inspection recently and blaming me. Individuals that are incontinent go to dining room without having there pull ups change and individuals have to eat with that smell. Have residents that live here and do not pay them a salary. Accordingly. If you don’t move from one room to another. You get threaten with a notice of termination within 30 days. Mail suppose to stay up front with front desk and goes to back. And some people mail get open. If you don’t do cleanliness within your body you do not get funds.weekly or monthly. Persons that injured persons more then once still here but others who just do it one time and no injuries get notice of termination. There are persons who drink and create problems with residents and they do not do nothing to them. In state what I know to the best of my knowledge as resident council president. I got the position to help resident and assist them with betterment especially you pay over a thousand 200 dollars rent for a two person room. Others assisting living like the sentinel has microwaves t.v. cable included telephone rooms and pay less then 1280. And even has a movie theatre. Own transportation vehicle for 12 or more. And has less residents then hedgewood. The co payment you get they make you sign and take it out of your allowance.

The staff and administration of this facility are hands on and attentive, and they are open to discussion and any questions that I had, particularly the owners. The decor of this facility is really nice and updated.

I have visited this facility as well as others in the tri state area, and I have to say that it is in much better condition than so many others. Contrary to the negative review below, the residents seem happy, and are able to live independently in a newly renovated building, We were impressed with the accommodations that were offered to my relative who is in need of a home.
