What makes our complex so special? Answer - Community (residents), staff, amenities, apartment and complex features geared towards individual needs which are required as we age. Tammy (Property Manager) and Jen (Office Assistant) are the excellent office staff. An apartment complex is only as good as its staff, and much of the tone is set by management both through attitude and example. We can honestly say Tammy truly excels at her job. Many leasing offices treat you really well up to the point where you move in, and then that is where you find out it was all show just to fill an apartment. This is not the case at Carlton Hollow, where the staff treats you like family, showing respect and caring. Maintenance has been great, with Jim (Manager), and Shawn who is willing to help when needed, and shows pride in what he does. Glenda and Peggy are our Activity Coordinators, who excel at what they do to help make our complex the community it is, along with our wonderful tenants who are all very nice people. The tenants/residents are friendly, caring, welcoming and sociable. As more than one resident said to us since recently moving in, is "Welcome home!" Terry takes care of helping to keep our complex clean and fresh. He takes pride in what he does which is demonstrated by his work. We have only been at our apartment for a very short time, and can honestly say, we are home! Love the lighting which is geared towards our increased needs for it in our everyday life, such as when cooking, or in the bathrooms for grooming. The layout of our apartment is wonderful as well as the color of the tile and fixtures. We cannot say enough great things about Carlton Hollow. If you are looking for an apartment for yourself or for a parent(s), we highly recommend Carlton Hollow, and would love to see you here. Hope this review helps in making your decision to see what we are about or to move here as much as the other reviews helped us in deciding to visit during open house as well as a follow-up for a private one on one showing. Carlton Hollow is where I now call home after living my entire life in the Thousand Island region. It was such a hard decision to make but one that I am 100% glad I did. First I have to commend the staff for being the friendliest housing people I've ever met. When I first went on a tour of the entire facility, there was not one question or concern manager Tammy could not answer, even when I told her I wasn't sure about moving into a complex after living alone so many years. We have so much going on here in our little community including various luncheons, dinners, game dates, walks, swimming, pickleball, movies, meet and greets and so much more, including a small library. The residents are always welcoming, friendly and willing to just sit down and chat. Of course we get to choose what we want to be involved in with no pressure from anyone. This complex is maintained and cleaned at all times, inside and outside, leaving us no worries of upkeeping the lawn or snow removal or having to fix or replace appliances that may go up. Our apartments with the very high ceilings are spacious with plenty of closets and cupboards. Outside there are places to sit and relax and there are gas grills connected to use year round. Carlton Hollow is a great place to live.

I am a resident of Carlton Way Senior Apartments in Ballston Spa New York and find that in the six years I have lived here I could not wish to find a nicer place to live out my senior years. Any review older than two years should be disregarded; the new, on-site manager and her maintenance manager husband are cordial and competent. My favorite amenity is the pool; I go 4-5 times a week, unlike many residents (which avoids crowding). Enough on-site activities are available, so you may pick and choose what you interests you (I suggest try many!).

We have been looking at Active Senior Apartment Complexes for over a year in the NYS area. I feel competent to review although we don't live there yet. The complex offers the most amenities of any of the communities I visited, and that is approximately 10 different locations. The Manager, Tammy Frost was most helpful in giving us a comprehensive understanding of the complex. She was 100% responsive. When moving your entire life to a new space, it is immensely helpful to have a person who can honestly help you assess whether the apartments offer you what you value in making a transition. The apartment itself was larger than any other we have seen. The almost 1000 Sq ft 1 brm apt and the facility with salt water pool, pickle ball court, equipped gym, vibrant appearing community and active calendar has made us think this is where we can call home. Will write more after the move in. A huge thanks to Tammy Frost & her husband, maintenance supervisor for making us feel excited to join others in Ballston Spa, a charming town near Saratoga Springs.

Excellent community to retire to! We have moved here from a luxury building in NYC, and were concerned about missing the wonderful place we lived in for 12 years. We worried in vain! The conditions and amenities offered here are incomparable. It is a very friendly community, and the staff is doing everything they can to make you feel at home. Strongly recommend!

Since the day we moved in everyone on staff have very helpful. We love our apartment and it's location on premises. Sitting on our patio has been a great way to meet people.
