My 94 year old father left a home where he and my mother raised my brother and I for 60 years. This was a huge really hard decision for me. When choosing an assisted living facility, there are many places in the Reno/Sparks area to choose from. I narrowed the choices down to two different facilities. Cascades being one of them. After finally deciding on Cascades of the Sierra, both Amber and Jessi went above and beyond to make sure I had all the information available for the move in process. Jessi being there from the beginning of the facility being opened says a lot about her and Amber at the end of the process felt like family. They both did. After being there for over a month, I couldn't be happier about the choice I made. Hands down Cascades is the best assisted living facility there is. Every employee I have met goes above and beyond and makes you feel at home. On top of that, the facility itself is always sparkling clean. I leave there and know my Dad is in very good hands.

My Dad is getting older we have been looking for a place that would fit in his budget and feel at home. I spoke with Amber Leighton, very professional, she took the time to listen to my Dad's needs and wants, was able to explain all services in a way that made my Dad feel at ease. Amber, was very understanding, caring and extremely knowledgeable. My experience with Amber has been nothing but great throughout this process, I would highly recommend Amber if anyone is looking for a true professional that is caring, understanding and listens to your needs and goes above and beyond to make you feel at ease. I would also recommend her immediate supervisor Jessi, who is also caring and understanding and very professional. The staff is fantastic—specifically Amber! They have been professional and accommodating. Amber stayed until 9:30 p.m. to make sure my grandparents felt safe and comfortable with moving. Overall, it is a beautiful facility and staff. I would highly recommend it!

Cascades of the Sierra is a very pleasant beautiful place but even more than that the people that I've met there, both caregivers, nurses, workers, have been such caring, helpful and loving towards everyone and mostly to the residents. One in particular Donna Bennett, was the first person that I talked to on the phone and met in person when looking for a place for my husband.She is a great asset to the company in every way. She's knowledgeable, friendly, pleasant to work with but more importantly she's very kind and understanding and compassionate, knowing what a person is going through when they're having to deal with this situation in their lives. I highly recommend this place and Donna with a five-star rating for both!

I have been looking at senior communities in the area to plan for future needs for my family. I called Cascades a couple of weeks ago and spoke with Jessie, who was exceptionally friendly and helped get me in touch with Amber. Amber walked me through the process and set me up for a tour of the property. Amber took her time showing me all of the amenities and explained all of the amazing things Cascades provides for their residents. I have to say, I was incredibly impressed by her knowledge of not just the property but the area as well. The property is beautiful! There are comfort features that my parents love, like fireplaces in the living areas and social events that they could attend regularly! All of the residents that I saw on my tour had smiles on their faces and seemed right at home, almost as if they were at a never-ending block party. If you are ever in the market for a senior living community, give Jessie or Amber a call. They will put your mind at ease.

This community is the best one we have seen so far! Everyone is so friendly. The place is clean the residence look happy and of course Amber, Jessi, Eileen and Chris were super helpful and making this transition for our loved ones. Eileen is one of the first people you see when you get there and she's always a friendly face! I don't know where I would be without their help! They made a hard decision seem seamless. This community feels like home to me. My grandparents have lived at Cascades and received fantastic care and TLC. I have worked with this community in a professional manner for over 10 years and have greatly enjoyed my relationship with the team and leadership. Wonderful team and caring staff. My mom lived in the Cascade of the Sierra for seven years. She initially started in independent living and eventually moved to assisted. She enjoyed living here and was glad to have such a nice, safe place to live. I have found the staff caring, helpful and hard working. I appreciated their diligence in keeping my mom safe. Over the years there have been issues but they have always worked with me to get them resolved. As the care giver for my mom, I know the responsibility lies with me to keep up with here needs but having the cascade there on a 24/7 basis that I could call when I was not able to be there was a comfort and a help. There are many times the staff would check on her for me as she would forget to charge her phone. They would help when asked, even when it was not in their job description. Not always on my time table but it would get done. Mind assisted living does not mean immediate assistance unless it is life threating. Some folks seem to believe that assistance should be swift but that would require a 1 to 1 staff to client. That is not something I could afford. I am very thankful that the Cascade provides such a lovely, helpful, and safe place for our aging seniors.

Cascades is a beautiful senior living community in northern Nevada. I worked for many years at a "competitor" and we always had a respectful relationship with the Cascades team. Since not every senior community is right for every client, I referred families to Cascades many times and always heard great things back about the community and staff. It's one of the newer senior communities in our area so has modern, large apartments that have very appealing amenities. I also worked previously with their Executive Director, Jim Cox, and found him to be an excellent and caring leader with many years of experience in senior living. Definitely one of the top senior living communities in this area.

Our family moved Mom into Independent Living in August 2020 because it was critical for her health and safety. The Cascades staff--from maintenance, food service, sales team to front desk--have been professional, courteous and helpful. Mom loves her apartment, the food, and the support she receives from the Cascades team. During a very challenging year, Jim Cox has been outstanding in communicating with residents and families and we appreciate his leadership in getting residents COVID vaccinations so quickly. We appreciate the entire Cascades team for all you do. A heart felt thank you.

One great point of difference for Cascades of the Sierra is its Executive Director, Jim Cox. Jim is a talented administrator and leader with a passion for elder care, particularly for dementia care. He is honest and ethical and creates a caring culture for his employees, families and residents.

Finding a safe place for my mom - where she is happy and well taken care of - has been one of my biggest challenges. Especially during COVID. In my experience the staff at Cascades has always been professional, friendly, responsive and accommodating. And they seem to go out of their way to follow all protocols and safety procedures. I am extremely thankful we found them and I hope she enjoys it there for many years to come.

A wonderful company I am proud I worked for! I worked at Cascades of the Sierra for over 2 years. It has been an immensely wonderful and rewarding experience and I was very sad to leave due to unforeseen personal reasons. The atmosphere, the team and residents make you feel right at home the instant you walk in. The property is breathtaking, the services and amenities offered are just WOW ! The team members are very experienced and excellent at what they do. Everyone, including the senior management team, is very supportive of each other to provide the best care and experience to the residents. I will always cherish my time over there! I truly miss my Cascades of the Sierra family, especially the residents who welcome you everyday with a smile and opened arms. It is a wonderful place to be for both coworkers and residents.
