My name is Lana and 2023 i went to Rosewood for rehap I can't say much about the place that was gopd. But when they sent me there in 2026 again I wasn't very happy about the idea, but I now have a better opinion of the place. The have completely revamped the place and here's my new story. The place smelled good and everything was clean. The CNA's they were the best. There were 2 named Lann and E.J they were the best. They never made me feel bad or old when had to take care of my nights and early mornings. The P.T. People were very competent and helped me alot. All the nurses but one at night was caring and helpful. There was one guy there named Josh, he would come around all the time to see if there was anything we needed and was so helpful in getting things done for us. I now recommend Rosewood to anyone needing to go there. Lana

Hi. My name is Heather Jones and I was recently a patient at Rosewood. My 16 day stay was absolutely delightful, if you will! Nick RN.was my first impression and what a delightful young man he is! Very thorough and thoughtful. Always to be sure I was well taken care of. Then NiEllie, CNA. She was wonderful right out the gate. I had not had a shower for 9 days before checking in! The staff at NNMC didn't bother to give me one. NiEllie gave me one before I even hit my bed, and what a wonderful night of sleep I had! Then there is Josh.I don't recall his title, doesn't matter. He is always there to say hi and ask how I was doing and if there's anything I need! PT, Jillyn, Austin, Loren, Sarah,Alexis, I think some are OT! They are a great bunch with awesome exercises to help you heal and teach life skills! EJ, CNA! Darling, sweetheart of a human. Again, making sure I had my showers and the ice was full, and a hot cup of coffee! LaCree, RN! Great and caring nurse and human! The student nurses, and their boss. The professor! Hats off to you ladies! Sara, RN! Great Nurse! The food...not the worst, but hey, the kitchen staff does their darkest to make the best of it! Always on time for sure! Jessica, CNA. Total sweetheart. I’ve seen a huge positive change at this facility over time. Ever since the new administrator took over, things have noticeably improved across the board. The building feels more organized, the staff seem more engaged, and there’s a stronger sense of accountability and care. You can tell there’s been a real focus on improving the environment for both residents and staff. The team is more attentive, communication has gotten better, and overall it just feels like a place that’s moving in the right direction. It’s not easy to turn things around in this type of setting, but they’ve clearly put in the work. Really impressed with the progress and the direction they’re heading.

The staff was amazing with my mother-in-law, who is stubborn and think she does not need help. The food was above average very attentive. I would recommend this place over and over again.

We had to temporarily place my dad at Rosewood due to increased weakness related to his alzheimers. My concerns for the quality of care were quickly alleviated upon consult with the PT, OT and social worker. The level and frequency of intervention was excellent and professional. As with any hospital/medical facility, it’s important to be present and advocate for your loved one. Understaffing is to be expected but we were always impressed with availability & attentiveness of the Rosewood CNA’s to meet my dad’s needs as much as could expected.

I went to visit my injured Mother when she stayed there, and from what I saw there was alot of the staff (not all of them) that were rude to patients and visitors alike, and I was told by multiple patients there that the food given is either too salty or very spicy. There was afew instances where staff did come in and help, but the rest of the time (most of it) where you'd hit the call button for help, and you'd be ignored, or they would scream for help and after screaming it for awhile someone would finally come check on you. Some would care enough to come and check on their patients, but the others would only come when it suited them, and when you called them they'd have an attitude. Another time my Mother had a pillow I brought her from home for her legs, and they attempted to steal it, and then argue with you on getting it back. Other patients had told me that they had things of their's that staff took (stole) that they'd never see again, even after being discharged. Other's were given medication that wasn't they're meds. They tried that with my Mother, but I saw (and heard) others complain about it too, and another who got sick from it. The place would be good (and get a better rating) IF they'd get rid of the rude ones who don't care about helping people, and are just there to get a check. If you're there at a nursing center then you should care about your patients whose only job is to get better, and its your's to help them with caring and compassion. But that's just my 2 cents...

I gave the a 4 star rating for the benefit of the doubt. I gave a short listed account of my stay to a staff member. Don't trust the food, several CNAs, not all of them, a few of the physical therapists, and the night nurses who tried often to give me another patients medication, I knew what I took and called them on it, they would recheck my chart and realize what they were doing admitted to their error and correct it. My point to telling you this is the fact that a lot of the patients are very elderly and sick they don't know what they take they trust the nurse to do their job correctly, it's a matter of time before someone dies because of it.

i had a fusion back operation at renown on mill st in reno back in 2022. i had stayed st renown recieving 5 star treatment everyone was fantastic. i was sent to rosewood rehab center for wound care i stayed for 2 weeks, the staff was fabulous. the doctors gave me excellent care and the nursing staff were top notch. each caregiver were excellent and treated me like gold. i got to do excersizing in the physical therapy room and walked about in the evenings getting fresh air on the patio. also the food is prepared nicely and its delicious! my entire experience was amazing. the kindest hearted folks at rosewood made my recovery so much better. anything i needed special i ordered it on amazon and they delivered it to me no problem!!!

Rosewood Rehabilitation & Nursing facility is an institution that provides professional, specialized care to its residents. Several of our elderly church members have been recipients of this experience. When we’ve visited with the residents we’re always received by staff who are friendly and warm. One of the local retired teachers’ groups I belong to were welcomed by Administration and staff during the Christmas holiday season to share songs, poems, and other Christmas cheer with the residents! It was definitely an auspicious occasion!

I wish nurses would response to beepers when activated. I timed it it take any where from 10 minutes to almost an hour. One incident when my room mate fell off the bed, activate the button it was taking more than 5 minutes. I went to look for help, night nurses were sitting at the desk while the alert button was on. Some times if a patient's, depends on medical conditions it will only take 5 to 10 minutes to save. Beyond that don't know how it will get handled. Emergency buttons can't be ignored when activated. Bottom question: I haven't looked at my bill. I think it is reasonable.

My husband was at Rosewood for a month, for rehabilitation. Our experience was amazing. Their therapy department was great and really helped my husband. The nurse's were great too. One person that really stood out to us was the housekeeper Maria, she was always so kind and helpful, and went out of her way to help if she could. We would recommend Rosewood to anyone in need of their help.

My 95 year old Mom was in Rosewood Rehabilitation for rehab after pelvis fractures. The facility is clean and the staff was attentive. Their medical Doctor is very good and we transferred her care to him after discharge. The PT and OT staff were excellent and worked hard to get her motivated and participating in rehab. I would select this facility again if care is needed.

My Dad was in Rosewood rehab for a year. He came in with an awful infection and was soiling himself. I was not sure if he would make it. The kind nurses there healed his infection, cleaned him up and fed him good food. He loved it. He was happy and that’s what mattered to me. I also loved the nurses and Bobby the social worker that always helped me with any questions. Even Darcy at the front desk was always helpful to me. I can’t recommend them enough to take care of your loved one. My Dad’s name was John McDowell and he would approve!

This place is unfortunately full of people who are unqualified and are clinging into their jobs as hard as possible. They get a new director every single year because they can't figure out how to make this place better. A lot of stupid stuff happens here and several patients keep some kind of phone or recording equipment in the room with their loved ones because of stuff that happens here... Lots of open law suits 2023 and 2024 and the director David should be investigated. The investors run everything here so they should take into consideration that putting in a new director every six months isn't fixing anything. Sad ... Wish they did better

The entire staff was very helpful and professional in every way, can't say enough about Physical therapy, the CNAs, RNs . With a few Minor pickups, due to communication which admin addressed quickly and discreetly . Again can't say enough about your excellent staff, they ALL should be given a raise to put up with this old cantankerous man! Even the drivers that took me to a Drs. Appointment were great very professional crew you have at Rosewood!

I was apprehensive about coming to Rosewoid due to an experience at a different facility but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was supportive, understanding and very nice. Nursing care was excellent as was all the therapeutic staff (PT, OT, Speech) Food was good.

Staying at Rosewood was an eye opening experience for me. I was a patient; here. I have worked in many different skilled nursing facilities over the years. Rosewood was exactly the right place for me. The staff at Rosewood Rehabilitation has my sincere thanks, and appreciation for ALL they do. I am a patient here and a retired licensed clinical supervisor and executive director of a hundred bed inpatient facility and hop my overview will be evaluated accordingly Leadership David the Executive Director is attentive to the patient needs and appears g Firm but fair with his staff. Nursing;Annett my nurse makes me feel safe and works to insure my pain levels are mediated. She treats me with dignity and does her job in a timely manner. She scares that ability with several nurses here and avoids the drama. Physical rehab The physical therapy department has been filled with clinically obtuse and dangerous individuals with little guidance. Due to a fundamental change in the service prevention responsibilities the discipline through out the industry has suffered. Injuries are common and usually unreported as evidenced by the multiple physical injuries acquired and accredited to staff misdirection. Their duties and responsibilities are unclear to them and others and arguments are constant and the patient’s suffer. The policies do not match the excepted safe and best practices as defined by industry standards Though required by Medicaid/Medicare There is no person centered physical therapy plan that is completed with the patient. Based on the strengths weakness abilities and preferences of the patient. Hence the treatment is program centered as opposed to person centered. The therapists in that department need further education and inspiration to provide better safer more dignified treatment free from guilt and shame no matter how effective those interventions seem and how easy domination of feeble week people is. Your loved one will be safe there if goals of stay and their progress is monitored by additional stakeholders. This facility is extremely clean and the Certified Nursing Assistance is of premium quality with attention paid to patient hygiene and other needs with politeness and kindness. With Physical Therapy policy, procedures and the bar risen for employment readjusted The clinical quality will be an excellent reflection on the ownership.

We feel my father got the best care he could at Rosewood. I felt very comfortable leaving him there while he recovered from 2 fractured feet.. his therapist were awesome and really worked my dad 2 times a day to get him more mobile. Food was good. The only negative was my father never left his room for 19 days. He had to eat his meals in his room, no activities and no going to the library due to a Covid outbreak.. But over all great and my dad is recovering nicely at home. Thank you again!!

Could not have been happier with my dad's stay at Rosewood. The building isn't the greatest but is easily over looked when you see the patient care. All the nurses I dealt with either helped me with my questions or got me in touch with someone that could. Dad is now home resting peacefully.

I was recently a patient at Rosewood for 2 weeks from 2/18/19 thru 3/4/19. They was a few things I didn’t like about the facility but this is the 2 biggest complaints, shared a toilet with 3 other men, it was constantly very dirty and shared a TV with your roommate and he was deaf so the volume was always VERY LOUD!The food was good but don’t forget to tell them NO FISH! Most of the people who work there were good to ok but the 3 best and my favorites were Jennifer (Physical Therapy) Nikki (Occupational Therapy) and Rosie (CNA) These 3 ladies made my stay a Rosewood more bearable!

After having 2 heart attacks then falling & braking many ribs I was flown to Saint Maries Hospital 3 hours south, for a week, then transfired to Rose Wood Rehab, for 2 more weeks. At first I wondered, then I knew I was in good hands when the Nurces & Physical Therapy folks, came in to interview me. It wasent long before I felt cared for & my needs were ment as far as getting back in the swing of life. From the front desk, Nayome, Cindy, Nichole & Pat were above & behond the call of kindness & duity. Will never forget my experance at Rose Wood Rehab. Kenny Brown

After having an unfortunate accident , was told that I needed additional therapy. I chose to go to Rosewood. It was a very pleasant experience and since then I have had to enter into a skilled nursing facility twice more. Rosewood has been my choice each time. I have received excellent care and the staff has always been compassionate, caring and educational. I would highly recommend Rosewood to anyone .

I recently had a hip replacement and did rehab with Rosewood. I found that I had professional on going care. The Physical Therapists I worked with were Pros and especially empathetic to my muscle disease! I am grateful for the help of many Certified Nurses Aides who were tireless in having to help me with many issues daily! My 30 some odd days there were of course difficult but I have nothing negative to say about the staff at Rosewood, including the maintenance staff! Thanks to all at Rosewood!

my handicapped daughter has been at this facilty for a week. They gave her the wrong life threatening meds for three days, then have not given her seizure medications she needs to control her siezures for the next three days.. She has not been bathed since she has been there, six days now.. They only check on the patients every threet o four hours, she busted her lip and had to be taken to renown on a metal bed rail. And we her parents stay with her all the time, and this still happens. What happens to people who do not have familt with them 24/7??? we have contatced the state of NV for neglect and I am contacting all the news papers and news channels in Reno to let them know how ths facilty has almost killed a handicapped child who is mentally 14 to 18 months olds, non verbal and 56 pounds after soending 7 weeks in the hospital, DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE TO THIS FACILTY, IT HAS A GOOD SMOKE AND SHOW WHEN YOU TOUR, IF YOU WANT YOUR FAMILY TO PASS AWAY, THIS IS THE PLACE TO SEND THEM.... TERRIBLE TERRIBLE CARE
