5 Star has been excellent care for our Aunt who moved there a year and a half ago. The staff are very caring and there are many good activities available. Our Aunt particularly likes the PT available and the exercise classes and the drumming. It is an all around great place for her to live.

Everyone I've met so far are helpful, courteous, knowledgeable, and very friendly. They all seem to go out of their way to be of service when needed. Everyone I've talked with enjoy living at 5 Star. And, the few times I've had meals there, every dish has been wonderfully prepared and very good, as well as the soups.

My mother, Nellie Perazzo, was a 98 year old resident at this facility for approximately 4 years. Mom received exceptional care with Jessica Price RN (Director) and her staff. They all performed well and were very supportive in meeting the needs of mom and her family. The communication was kept open to her daughter which made for a good relationship for all involved. Nellie was loved by everyone who knew her. Caregivers made some extra time to spend with her and help her as needed. They were good at checking to see if she was comfortable and clean in her daily life. The staff were welcoming to family and friends. I was her advocate and expected safe and good care. At this stage of her life the needs increased. As she declined all were dedicated to attending to her in a very kind and gentle way. My heartfelt thanks go out to these wonderful people through out the 24 hr day. It takes wisdom and strength to be able to put a family member into the care of others. Mom was content in her apartment and loved her family at Five Star. This also includes the administration of the facility. May God Bless you all for loving Nellie and treating her with kindness! My parents started off in 5 Star's Independent Living facility about 7 years ago, then moved to Assisted Living (AL) a few years ago. When we first got to AL, 5 Star was really struggling to provide "5 Star" service. Today it's a completely different story. They have a top notch AL Director who is super competent and responsive, not only to residents but the families that are often very involved in their parents' care. She has hired competent and caring staff that you feel good about leaving with your parents. Also, the facility itself, both inside and out is beautiful and they really take care of it. You feel like you're at a hotel rather than a senior facility. I highly recommend this place!

Jessica and her nursing staff are exceptional. They care deeply about their residents and went the extra mile to take care of my Dad during his time at 5 Star. There are also many other staff members that were caring and helpful with my parents, including the housekeeping staff and maintenance (Darrell?), as well as Jaimie and Darlene at the front desk.

This place is a great place to work. My wife and I came from another retirement home working there and this place gets it's name perfectly. They listen to people. They follow up with things going on and lastly they hear you when you suggest something. The managers are super friendly and the staff also. My wife and I love it here and we are here for the long run. 5 star premier residence of reno is a 5 star community to work for.

In March, 2024, at age 92, our very independent mother's health rapidly declined, requiring her to move from an independent senior living apartment to assisted living at Five Star Premier Residence. From the moment we walked in the door, Mom was greeted and cared for by the amazing staff at 5-Star. Her newly remodeled apartment was perfect for her, with a beautiful view of the courtyard. The food is good, and housekeeping immaculate. In a matter of weeks, her health declined and it was recommended she be placed on hospice. Jessica Price RN, Director of Resident Care, was not only able to recommend several options for hospice care, but once we chose a hospice provider, she immediately coordinated a seamless transition for our family in a matter of hours. Jessica and her caregivers teamed with hospice to manage Mom's care, allowing our family to focus solely on her. The entire Resident Care team provided excellent service, surrounding our family with comfort, love, and excellent care during this stressful and difficult time. We are so thankful to have met all the people at 5 Star that made a very difficult time for our mother and family so filled with care and comfort.

I have worked at Five Star Premier Residences of Reno in my current position for the last 15 years and I have been affiliated with the building for the last 23 years. I have also visited virtually every other retirement community in the Truckee Meadows area. The one thing that sets Five Star apart is the feeling you get when you enter the building. Beyond the building itself (which is beautiful), the thing that sets it apart are the people. The tenure of the management is extensive. This contributes to the sense of stability and a feeling of being at home. I am proud to work here and invite you to come and check us out.

What I love about this facility is the big, open air environment. The common areas have plenty of large sofas to lounge on, high ceilings, picturesque windows so that residents don't feel claustrophobic. The staff are incredibly friendly and caring. I love the diversity of the staff as well (they range from college students to baby boomers, with people employed from all over the world). I feel like my mother is in a safe and supportive environment. The food is very good, and I especially appreciate the dinner buffets due to their wide variety of food options. Because my mother has difficulty reading menus, the buffet was the deciding factor for me. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and she loves getting her walks in without leaving a safe and secure perimeter.

Premier Residences of Reno is a gem of a community. I toured multiple locations for my Mother in Reno and knew the moment I walked in that Premier was the right fit. The staff from Concierge to management were so welcoming and helpful. The Residents I met were happy and active. It was a big decision and Mom is very happy in her new home. She has made great friends and loves the activities that take her all over Reno and Tahoe!

5 Star Senior Residences of Reno has been my home for the past 5 years. A time of change in my life which was new, but also a time of comfort, safety and new experiences. Our staff from the Managers to the house keepers, maintenance workers, dining room staff and consieures. I also need to include our wonderful transportation service which takes us to medical appointments, shopping and pretty much allows us to go anywhere we need to go. Great people who make our lives fun and more comfortable. Let me not forget all the wonderful new friends I have met with so many stories and getting to know everyone. Most of us are the same, just from different places and backgrounds which we seem to blend into a familiar family togetherness. Lots of activities to take up our time. Bean Bag Baseball is a favorite along with bingo, Facts for Fun, Chair Volleyball, Billiards and a putting green for our golfers. If we don't wish to participate, that is okay also. Our apartments are our home. I must not forget to mention how much I look forward to the different holidays where we are provided with special food and entertainment which we all love. At this time in my life, I like someone else doing the cooking and washing dishes. Also, if something goes astray in my apartment I can call for a maintenance worker instead of a handyman. In case you are wondering, every floor has several laundry rooms with modern washers and dryers. No quarter needed! Being realistic and honest is everything perfect all the time? Of course not, but we are listened to and the problem is handled. This part is probably better than our previous homes. In closing, it is a comfort to my children to know that I'm being taken care of and if something comes up they will be notified immediately. If you are a senior citizen and thinking about making a change, a stop here at 5 Star Residences of Reno will be worth your trip.

5 Star is the best experience of my senior years. The residents are very positive and happy. There is always some activity or outing to go on. The meals are great and they even clean my room once a week! The staff from housekeeping to managers are always looking for ways to help us out and they even provide transportation to doctors' visits. If you want to be happy in your senior years come to 5 Star sooner rather than later!

The Garden club is a safe haven because it I am able to plant flowers and produce. It is peaceful. Exercise programs and lively entertainment help me keep on track for my health and wellness. The resident culture is lively, and friendly. A lot of residents enjoy the location which helps families keep in touch. The community fosters engagement and socialization. Our Resident Council takes pride in getting to know new residents. You can't beat the location and grounds! Very homey, peaceful, and serene.

My brother was able to move to Five Star several months ago after living in a lower tier facility in another part of Reno. What an incredible difference that move made! The staff members at Five Star are very caring, thoughtful, and communicative with family members. We don't live in the area, which makes outreach from staff all the more helpful. The facility itself is much more like a resort than anything else. They offer entertainment, a restaurant, a nice snack bar, and a very comfortable common area for visiting with residents. Resident apartments are roomy and well thought out with ADA safety equipment and ease of access primary considerations. My brother uses a walker to get around and he is able to easily do so on the ground floor level where all the amenities are located. We are so happy that he has a safe, comfortable, and professionally-run facility to call home. We highly recommend Five Star Premiere Residences.

Our parents moved to Five Star Premier Residences from another high-end independent living community in the local area. The friendly, compassionate, and caring staff and management team made all the difference in the experience of our parents and family. There is a genuine feeling of community between the residents and staff—smiles, friendly conversations, and activities galore. The employees and managers go above and beyond to know each resident personally and treat them like a beloved family member. My mother had a sudden health decline. The senior management team went to extraordinary efforts to help us monitor her health crisis and provide referrals for "trusted" care resources. Additionally, they have all the activities and services of a five-star hotel.
