My mom moved into Villa Court last summer. To my surprise, she loved it. At first she was hesitant to give up her apartment, but once she settled in we were both glad she made the move. All the staff are great, they are very caring. She likes the food, she likes the bus service too. I live in CA so it gives me comfort to know she is well taken care of. I highly recommend Villa Court!

We were extremely nervous to move our dad into a facility because our dad was very opposed. We picked Villa Court because the staff was very friendly and it seemed like it was more of a home than a facility. We were surprised how beautiful it was when we first pulled in because of the location. The staff made moving in very quick and gave us a lot of information as this was our first time making this move. Our dad had a hard time at first transitioning from living at home to Villa Court, but since then has been loving to talk to other people and actually made some friends!

Had the opportunity yesterday to tour Villa Court (both the Assisted Living and the Memory Care). I was very impressed by the engaging and kind staff who greeted me. The community was beautiful and had a really great "feel" to it. I spent time with the administrator and felt her passion for caring about staff and residents alike. I watched her interact with some of the memory care residents and it brought a smile to my face. I'm thankful for the opportunity I had to get familiar with this community and can't emphasize enough how impressed I was. Great job Villa Court!

After my father’s death at Villa Court, staff packed up his belongings, deliberately defying family requests NOT to do so until we could arrive from overseas and do that ourselves. Now we find that a large jar of coins he had saved has disappeared.

Got back to our river abode yesterday and slept for twelve deep sleep hours. I had spent the last five days staying in my moms room in an amazing assisted living facility. When I first arrived on Sunday, I was grateful she was still alive. She has a full page checklist of health issues and a simple UTI that can be the last check. The reason I am posting today is I need to share with you my new definition of essential worker. The care givers bring the word care to a new level. Each and every time they responded to the button (she wears it around her neck and the first two days it was me pushing it) they entered the room with smiles and concern. They gently picked her up and placed her in her wheelchair. The whole process was done with the dignity, professionalism and efficiency that we all hope for our loved ones. This process was completed repeatedly and frequently. When I say that, my mom has advanced dementia and a serious UTI, just for perspective. Never once did I see or hear again or already, even when I was thinking it. The people that prepared, served and cleaned up our meals were just as amazing. During covid-19, all snacks, meals and dessert are served in the rooms. Each day, one of these angels come in and wrote down a detailed list of menu choices that means that each resident has (at least) that amount of control. They not only knew what my mom liked, they knew when, how and how much she liked. They delivered our meals with a kind word and lots of smiles. Because I was staying they went above and beyond to ensure they made me happy. Each meal was tasty, hot and on time. Each time I ventured into the kitchen to get coffee or ice, every person would ask about my mom and take the time to share a tidbit about her. Staff would drop in at random times just to check on her and each time they would hold her hand and tell her she was in their thoughts and prayers. One day, a few came in with balloons and a homemade get well sign that they had all signed. I have two nieces that work at this facility and my sister is also a resident. They all watch over her like momma bears. I am grateful and humbled that my mom is in such loving hands. I will continue to make the trek to see her, but I wake up each day blessed with the peace of knowing, to my toenails, that she is in the best place! Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I toured this facility and was pleased with what I saw. The facility was clean and welcoming, and they had a variety of common areas for the residents, from TV rooms to libraries, etc. There is a piano in one of the common rooms as well as a beautiful aquarium. The outside areas weren't as impressive as some other locations that I visited, but they were fine. What I was most impressed with was their activities. The quantity and diversity of activities provided at Regency Palms was much more impressive than that at other facilities. Many other places only offered gambling type games, such as Bingo and blackjack and other card games, on a regular basis. While Regency Palms offered these types of games, they also offered a variety of other activities as well, and had at least 5 or 6 different activity/events each day. The rooms were also lovely and spacious.
