My mom was transferred here from another SNF and we were considering hospice because her health was deterating. We saw a huge improvement the first week she was here! Even her nurses at dialysis notice the difference. These nurses don't medicate patients just to make their jobs easier and I firmly believe that's what was going on in the other SNF. Needless to say no more hospice! The building itself is old but this facility was much cleaner than her previous one that had much better rating on Google. I'm not sure why this place has low reviews but in our experience it's been nothing but GREAT! All nurses, CNAs, front desk, and administrative personnel have been nice and helpful. They actually are taking my mom to physical therapy unlike the other facility that says they did but never happened. My mom had a stroke she can't communicate & is bedbound but she's improved here. I just want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking care of our mother.

At this Torrey Pines rehabilitation center I met the most loving and caring professional wound doctor , her name is Jacqueline Walker . Although I got discharged , but I still definitely chose her to be my lifetime would doctor for my Home Health Care . Also I want to thank all CNA for put up with my behavior, everyone is so patient with me , Primary care doctor Le and Lung doctor ——?( Sorry my wife said she forgot his name ) came to check on me every day. Even the director of nurse JB / hopefully it spells correct ( my wife seems to have difficulty remember people's names ).I overheard he was asking my nurse Am I okay ? He didn't come in ( I understood he didn't want to disturb us while my wife was there with me ) , but I did hear he was asking about my condition outside of my room. I understood why he didn't come in, Because every one knew my wife came to see me every day as soon as door opened for visitors , His genuine caring tones touched my heart deeply, What A great director of nurse , By the way, there are two CNA I like most , one is Barney and the other one is Jonhney , both love their jobs so so much , you can tell they really care about their patients, they even prayed for me, Nurse Arlene was my weekday daytime nurse, She is great and knowledgeable , always remembering everything things and giving patients medications on time. There are so many people to thank for, If I ever need to go to rehabilitation center in the future, I definitely will chose Torrey Pines rehabilitation facility again . They are the best of the best. No other rehabilitation centers or skilled nursing facilities can compete with them. Thank you and God bless you all .

My husband stays there for about 25 days and will be discharged tomorrow. I like the admission team members, They manage this facility very good, if something happens to patients, they react very quickly , entire staffs are very professional and helpful, from director of nurses, CNA, physical therapists, wound care team, housekeepers , social worker, receptionists , nurses, .... they all treat my husband with great respect and take good care of him. Doctor Le comes to see my husband every day, he gave right medications to my husband when he had infection , wound doctor Jacklyn did a great job on my husband's big wound. I thank you Torrey Pines rehab facility for hiring only best people to work here and make patients feel comfortable and not scared. .

This facility is bright Beautiful and well-maintained. Residents receive wonderful care. Catering to the needs of post-acute medical Rehabilitation, Torrey Pines care center provides observation, physical therapy, as well as day-to-day care. Meals are well planned and delicious. A nice variety of snacks are also available at the reception area for all who care to buy a little something sweet or maybe salty. Your choice. It really is a lovely place.

I was there in May of 2012 and have no real complaints since I was such a witch from the get-go. The nurses seemed competent and caring despite my attitude. They gave me a shower upon request. The food was no worse than your regular hospital food, and they even brought me a lap top to keep me busy. I also played bingo one day and won 50 cents. Hey, maybe I'll go back 🙂
