i recently toured Desert Springs Living while trying to help an 83-year-old client of mine who is no longer able to safely live on his own. This is not an easy process”emotionally or logistically”and I went in not knowing what to expect. Misti and Michael were absolutely incredible. They welcomed me with kindness, took the time to answer all of my questions, and made me feel completely supported every step of the way. What really stood out was their compassion”you can tell they genuinely care about the people they serve, not just as residents, but as individuals going through a major life transition. I left feeling reassured, informed, and truly grateful. If this is how they treat someone just coming in for information, I can only imagine the level of care they provide to their residents. Thank you both for making a difficult situation feel a little lighter.

My brother Mark lived here for over 4 years. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate everyone that works at this facility. They treated him as family. When things became difficult they stepped it up. The love and care that these nurses have at this facility are top notch. I never felt he was not being looked after. From the front desk manager to the facilitator , everybody had his best interest at heart. Every single one of you did your best and we as a family appreciate you very much.

To honor our mom’s wish to remain in Las Vegas and maintain her independence, we researched numerous retirement communities that fit her budget and needs. After touring Desert Spring Senior Living, we knew it was the right choice. It offers the perfect balance of independence and support. She has her own studio and is part of a welcoming, well-supported community. From the initial tour through move-in and beyond, Ms. Teagan has been extremely helpful, and every staff member we’ve encountered from maintenance and activities to medical has been kind, professional, and genuinely supportive. Since we live out of state, having direct contact information and responsive communication has been helpful. The team even went above and beyond by helping assemble my mom’s bed when it arrived after I had already left. Desert Spring Senior Living has been an exceptional choice for our family. As our mom settles in, we’re confident she’ll build friendships and find favorite activities. We’re grateful she has a place she can call home, with a support system that cares for her like family.

My 93 year old mom has been at Desert Springs for three months. It was with a heavy heart to take her out of her home, although it was no longer safe. Too many falls. It is the best decision I have made in regards to her wellbeing. It is impossible to express gratitude to Tegan and her staff. the facility has a home-like atmosphere. The love and concern evident in their actions. The dining room is beautiful, and the food is delicious, with plenty of variety. My mom had a couple of health issues. The care, compassion and respect in which they treated her assured me I had made the right decision. I could go on & on about her cute room with big windows, how amazed I am at the size of her kitchen and the laundry & cleaning they provide. The dining room staff are adorable and welcome my mom like she is the only resident. But, the peace of mind knowing that the mom is truly loved and cared for when I can't be there is an incredible gift. Knowing that she is in good hands is everything to me. Thank you, Desert Springs. You have become my family as well.

I was blessed to meet a wonderful soul Tegan Dein at Desert Springs Senior Living and has become a trusted friend for my Mom and I. The staff here is caring, eager to respond and the prices are the best in area. They are one of few facilities that help facilitate the senior medicaid program and affordable living. Each tour isn’t rushed, she takes her time to make sure any question is answered and is transparent about what she thinks is best for each individual. She’s not a salesperson, she’s angel and any community is lucky to have her. Tegan is warm, genuine and authentic with every single person she meets and always goes the extra mile. Even if a family doesn’t choose her community; the warm connection made, leaves many trusting her enough to use her as a resource. Desert Springs Assisted Living is such a wonderful community; it truly feels like home. The environment is fun and lively ” you’re always sure to be greeted by many of the residents. Desert Springs Assisted Living is also one of the more affordable communities, which is hard to find. I highly suggest this community and am beyond proud to partner with them and their seniors.

This place is aweful. My mother in law is now in the hospital because of the lake of care by the attendant. One who is Cora is 62 and won't help anybody and complains about having to lift my mother in law Mary up or anything else. I have repetaly have complained to 1st Ann and now Val all I get is excuses and no changes. She hates the food too.

Mary was very happy at Desert Springs. She would still be there if her mental state had not deteriorated to a point she started wandering away from the facility. We gave a 4 star because improvement could be made in cleaning the room. Also trying to reach someone on the phone, if they didn’t pick up the voicemail was usually full.

Horrible, I can't wait to move out. Since the new manager, both residents and employees can't get out of here fast enough. One woman left after one month, another three months and another six months. The food is vile, and I have pictures. The food manager is rude and condescending to residents The new manager raised our rent and has spent it on furniture to make himself look good. Last month we had a Covid outbreak. Because this manager delayed closing the building, 30 residents got Covid THIRTY. And some employees. I read the positive reviews, and most of them are managers in this building. They will sink to any level

This resident selected Desert Springs Senior Living from six independent residential possibilities. Part of the draw was remaining in Spring Valley, moving one mile after four years of living in a 55+ community. Residing here for 2.5 months permitted my initial recovery to allow a healthy return to outside extended walking periods. Moving here returned my hope for the future. I speak with the executive director periodically. I have little contact with his Directors of Culinary and Maintenance. But every request this reviewer has made has been fulfilled. This individual has more contact with wait staff, caregivers, nurses, and residents. As Las Vegas is a Cosmopolitan City in the Desert, most nationalities are represented by caring folks. Meeting residents and having conversations was part of the regimen I needed in daily human contact. Learning first names has made this more of a family atmosphere in dining, activities, and simply walking the halls. A prospective resident will meet with the Family Advisor. She is attentive to your family's needs. (She is also a prior nurse.) Based on telephone conversations and face-to-face interviews, she designs a recommended program for your loved one. This multi-level, after-care residence provides services for one week or a remaining lifetime. In this older structure are some of the most caring medical and support staff a family could ask for. This resident purposefully waited to write this review. Recovery will be ongoing, as with many families. Finally, I could not have asked for a more pleasant experience in independent senior living. Kudos!

Such a great community. Numerous great changes since the leadership here has changed. Marcus is the new leader on this team and you can see the involvement he has with his care staff. Desert Springs Senior Living is a quality organization that truly cares about both it's employees and residents. I recently had the opportunity to tour the community and was impressed by the fun atmosphere and friendly team. There was live entertainment in the dining room, front desk was helpful and kind, and the community has recently had renovation work completed. It looks great! The team at Desert Springs was awesome. They clearly have passion for what they do and are striving to get better every day. The staff is very nice and professional and all of them from the chef to housekeepers have been there from day one i admitted my mother which makes me feel good The facility even though older than most it is very clean and well maintained.The welcoming staff is always friendly when i come to visit and my mother is enjoying all the activities they have to offer. I have visited my grandpa several times and cannot say enough good things about the Desert Springs community. The staff is friendly, inviting and attentive to my grandpas needs. He seems to really enjoy living there, he has an upbeat attitude, more energy and has friends he gets to see and dine with everyday. This is my 2 nd post because my first one never posted. I took my parents to this facility for an 11:00 am appointment. I noticed a bunch of people in the TV room sitting there not interacting. No smiles, no conversations. My husband and I asked several residents how the food and the care was. Their replies were, it’s ok. My parents had lunch. Their receptionist showed us 1 room prior to lunch. We entered dining room before 11:30. As we waited, there was almost a fight between 2 residents. The staff didn’t notice so I told them. It wasn’t until after 1:30 that I went out for the 2nd time to remind them we were waiting. The director showed us several other apartments. The hallways were way too long for two 92 year old people with walkers. The elevator took so long to arrive. Another resident complained that his A/C wasn’t working and it was 85 degrees in his room. We finally had our 11:00 appt at 2:00. Not impressed at all. Felt more like a nursing home to me. Also, I felt they were too busy to address us on time and residents concerns. Not a good match for my parents.
