Paloma Landing does its best to foster happiness and a sense of well-being among seniors residents. Our residents regularly take advantage of local events and activities available in Albuquerque. We are conveniently located near eating establishments, parks, and other activities.
We help our senior residents not only with their daily routines, but to thrive physically, mentally, and socially within our community. We offer several styles of units to choose from in sizes to fit all senior needs. There is plenty of storage space, private bathrooms, and each apartment. The grounds are professionally maintained for the benefit of our residents and their guests. Members of our staff are extensively trained to care for senior Albuquerque residents and everything they need. We continually strive to assist our residents for the highest quality of life we can provide for them. Paloma Landing meal plans that are prepared with fresh ingredients daily from specially designed menus. We also offer snacks between meal times. Private dining, family style, cookouts, picnics are all available for every style of meal that could be desired. We can accommodate for nearly every type of diet.

My mother-in-law lives in this community. My husband and I have visited her there many times. We have eaten many meals there and have recently stayed in the guest apartment. We are delighted to have our loved one living at Paloma Landing. The food is excellent and management works very hard to make sure that residents are safe and happy. The guest apartment accommodations are on par with some of the best hotels.

I have been a resident for about a year and a half and have really decided that this is my home. I now have many, many friends, the management and the residents are all very friendly, I never feel alone. The three meals that we are served are delicious--when I interviewed being able to sample their mid day meal was one of the factors that convinced me to move here. We have many activities, my favorite is bean bag baseball. We have a van driver to get us to the places that we need to be driven to

My mother lives at Paloma Landing and asked me to write a review for her. Basically, she is very happy with this retirement community. The staff is AWESOME, new managers came in about a year ago and really improved the place. They are young, positive and very solution oriented. She is also very impressed with how kind and hard working the kitchen staff is. Overall, the food is very good, they try to change it up with different menus. The bus driver is a sweetie and so is the activity director. They are always planning events and activates for the residents. Probably the best part of Paloma Landing is the residence. So many pleasant and kindhearted people live at PL, over time people develop close friendships and they look after one another.

We are so glad we made the decision to move to Paloma Landing. All the managers and staff are very helpful, friendly and fun to be around. The food is so good and eating in the dinng room is a great way to get to know all our new "friends."Our apartment is just big enough and the view is spectacular. There is always something fun to do with the wide variety of activities they offer.

I looked all over Albuquerque’s east side for independent senior facilities and found six places that I was very interested in. I toured each facility and had the noon meals in each one. The next week I ate at each of those facilities and Paloma Landing won with their food, hands down. The people and staff are very pleasant and efficient. The facility is beautiful and bright and cheerful. I am pleased to live in such a lovely place where I feel welcome, happy, and safe for the past two years. I am so glad I made this choice for myself. Paloma Landing is my home and the residents are my extended family.

When we moved my mom in, it was a great place -- food was good, management was great. There have now been many changes in managers and the constant change is detrimental. The food has slowly been deteriorating -- cheaper cuts of meat and no use of in-season fruits and vegetables. Have been told that recipes do not come from the cook but come from corporate headquarters. This may be the problem with the food.

My Father moved From Indiana to Albuquerque and Paloma Landing, three and a half years ago. He knew no one and was instantly and warmly welcomed into the Paloma Landing community. The staff are amazing, kind and caring people who treat the residents like family. My Daddy loves his home . Hawthorne Properties have also been diligent about keeping their residents safe and protected during the corona virus pandemic and quarantine (and keeping their families informed too)!! Its a top notch independent living senior community. Im grateful to find a residence like this for my Father.

I have been a resident of Paloma Landing since December or 2018. I moved in just to be close to my wife who has Alzheimers and is in a nearby patient care facility. That said, I am glad I made the move and even more so now that the nation is facing a health crises.There has been a high turnover of management, some good and some not so good. But the current senior management team is doing a great job in a tough time and I am glad they are hereI cannot say enough good things for the kitchen staff and the great food they prepare and serve under tough situations. If I dont take great care, I am going to put on some pounds that this 89-year old does not need.Just to be fair, let me say that the cleaning staff do their job with a smile for all. However, how about leaving me 3 candies instead of only two.
