Morada Quintessence has been an absolute godsend for our family and we are thankful to Dale from Stellar Senior Housing Experts for helping to guide us to this magnificent new home for our mom. My brother and I have been overwhelmed by the attention, care, professionalism, and kindness extended to us by each and every member of this staff. The staff at Morada Quintessence are truly compassionate and skilled professionals. Paul, Michelle and Lindsay are incredibly dedicated and caring, which has meant the world to us and to my father. All of the med techs (shout out to Janeth and Herbie) are excellent and so kind. Roslyn at the front desk is pure sunshine, and so many others at Quintessence, my dad and our family so greatly appreciate. I can envision all of the staff’s smiling faces and I wish I could remember all of their names, but please know that you have been our earth angels, and we won’t forget you. I just moved my mother into Morada a few days ago. I was there yesterday helping her get settled in. My wife and I unpacked most of her stuff from her previous facility a few nights before. When we were shown the apartment the fridge was not working, there was no smoke detector just an empty mount where one was mounted, and there was a wall plate sticking out up high. The leasing agent pointed all of those items and assured me that they would be addressed before mom moved in. I was surprised to find those three items in need of repair a day after mom moved in. Well there goes the trust established so back to square one as I have to make sure mom is not neglected. The unit is a nice size but does not have much storage. The leasing agent told us mom would have a little storage area for supplies somewhere else in the facility. As I finished unpacking the rest of mom’s things in her room helping her hang up all her clothes I had 2 cases of depends and water wipes for the storage area. I went out to the front area to ask the front desk lady where the storage area was as I had a few items to be stored. She was very condescending to me as I had interrupted her conversation with the same resident she was chatting with over an hour prior. I tried to explain what we were told and the front desk lady could’ve not been more disrespectful as she acted like I was crazy, asking for unobtanium. The director was behind me at some point as the front desk attendant kept condescending and took over for her debacle of communication. He was very professional and measured while explaining to me that the only storage was not too secure and that mom’s supplies would be mistakenly used for other residents. I appreciated his honesty and candor quickly addressing the situation. I gave the desk attendant another chance asking her if they would be interested in current fashion magazines from our salon. She was just as condescending as before saying that they do not or never have accepted magazines. She had a very different attitude when we were initially looking at the place. I am a paraplegic and know when someone is dismissing me in an ableist manner. I will not be even speaking to the front desk attendant anymore. I went home after and realized that I was not able to communicate with the front desk about the unrepaired items in mom’s room. I found the welcome folder we were given at lease signing and called mom’s activity coordinator. She was not in but Destiny answered the phone and was very professional hearing my concerns and addressing them all with either remedies or explanation of when repairs could be expected. She even called me back to tell me that she was able to get mom’s fridge going. What a difference. I suppose she is at work to work and the front desk attendant is there to socialize picking and choosing who gets through. She could’ve easily directed me towards Destiny had she not been such an ableist to me. I will update this review as mom and I have more interactions with the staff. I can only hope that things smooth out from here.

The staff at morada is amazing! Paul the administrator is extremely personable and caring. Lyndsay the admissions director cares deeply for all the residents and treats them all like family. Michelle the wellness director is outstanding and cares dept for her residents, she and her caregiver staff spend countless hours with the residents providing excellent care and support. I visit morada weekly and every time I am treated like family. Rosalyn at the reception desk instantly makes you feel at home as you enter the building with a giant smile and sweet compliment. The residents are well cared for and very happy. I would happily recommend morada quintessence for my friends and family.

My sister has been a resident at Morada Quintessence for over a year. From the first day my husband and I have been impressed with the competency, compassion and professionalism of the staff, and the quality of meals she receives. Even when we offer to take her out to dinner while we are out, she often prefers to return for the meal at Morada. Every day seems filled with activities that keep her busy, including wellness exercise, card games and especially bingo which is a popular event. We are also impressed with the frequent family events, and the turnout is impressive. We find Morada Quintessence a happy place where the residents feel safe and well taken care of.

My 93 year old mother was a resident here for 13 months before her recent passing. My family was very pleased with the overall care she received. The staff were consistently caring and attentive”the direct caregivers, as well as the med techs, front desk staff, the transport driver, maintenance staff, medical director, executive director. Everyone! And they made us feel like we were part of their organization family too. They were so patient with my mother as her dementia progressed, answering her call button even when she mistakenly pressed it. The med techs, staff and medical director were excellent about letting us know if they noticed changes in mother’s behavior that might indicate a new health issue. In her last days, they were all so compassionate and provided amazing guidance to help us through the process. My family is very grateful to the Morada staff.

My wife has been at Morada for almost 3 years. During that time there has been a number of management and staff changes. In a short time, the current team and I do mean team, has turn around the Quintessence facility into a 5 star facility. Everyone works together from the Director to food and beverage to caregivers to management. If your love ones need the care they deserve I suggest highly you look at Morada.

I am a resident. I have to say I became sold on this place from my first day here. I fell often when I was in my house so I needed to find somewhere safer. Morada Quintessence is now HOME for me. The Care Providers have been very helpful to me, even when I've gotten myself tipped over in my own wheelchair! The Care givers untangled me and got me out of that problem. The Staff and the Residents here are wonderful. Come by and see for yourself, I'm usually here!

Morada renovated the whole interior. New management, new furniture , floors and Chef There bringing new residents!! This place is turning around! I am impressed!! We had to make a difficult decision for a few months and looked all around Albuquerque. I feel this is the most amazing place we could have found. Some people look at you like you are annoying to be there -but not Morada. The staff has all introduced themselves to me-almost half the residents have said hello to my mother and the atmosphere is the best I could wish for. Food is great, security and privacy is awesome. Barbara Billy, well Billy is an asset and should be kept forever!

I had looked around at several retirement communities in Albuquerque, and was not impressed until I found Morada Quintessence! My mother was a resident at Morada Quintessence in early 2022, before she passed. Not only was my mother’s care impeccable, the front desk staff, care staff, and management were incredibly compassionate with and accommodating to our family and friends. My mother moved to Morada after moving from another facility, and while at Morada, her bed sores cleared up, her incontinent needs were taken care of timely, she was bathed regularly, the kitchen staff worked hard to find her food she could eat, her room was kept clean, and her clothing and bedding were laundered regularly. In particular, the care staff never left my mother’s room without making sure she was in reach of her call button (an issue we had at the previous facility she was in). The facility was secure from outsiders and COVID protocols were followed, keeping residents and visitors safe and healthy. Highly recommend this facility.
