As a Senior Living Advisor with Caring Hearts Senior Housing Advisors, I've toured many communities throughout Albuquerque and have referred families to Morada Albuquerque when I believe it's the right fit for their loved one. The resident I've placed here has had a very positive experience, and the feedback from both the resident and their family has been consistently encouraging. One of the things I appreciate most about Morada is that the team is honest and transparent about whether the community can truly meet someone's needs. They focus on making sure it's the right fit, which is exactly how I approach my own work with families. Dustin has been especially wonderful to work with. He takes the time to answer questions, educate families, and never makes anyone feel pressured during the process. The community is clean, welcoming, and has a warm atmosphere from the moment you walk in. Finding the right senior living community is one of the biggest decisions a family can make. Based on my professional experience working with Morada Albuquerque and the positive experience of the resident I've referred, I would feel confident recommending this community to families looking for independent living, assisted living, or memory care options.

Suzy and the entire staff are truly wonderful. They are friendly, caring and always treat residents with kindness and respect. They take the time to communicate with families, making everyone feel informed and supported. The community offers a variety of fun events and activities that keep residents engaged, along with excellent amenities that make daily life comfortable and enjoyable. It's clear the staff genuinely care about the people who live here, and that makes all the difference. I highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming place for a loved one.

The entire staff at the Morada Sr Assisted Living facility have been very good. Matthew the Facility Manager has always gone over and beyond to assist with my disabled brothers needs and is truly compassionate about his job. My brother especially enjoys his rides with Matt to his appointments it’s pleasant conservation and never feels like he’s a burden. Lyndsey and Jamie have always been pleasant to work with. And to the BEST TEAM of care team for 24 hour care. Kudos to Dining-room staff always great service. Thank you to Everyone for caring for my brother Robert! God bless you all.

Vida- is by far the most compassionate, caring and giving person I have came across. The attentiveness in her cooking and services she provides in the dining room daily has shown what a difference it takes to show the residents of morada that the dining services is meant for the them. All expectations are meant with the dining room.

Choosing a care community is a significant decision, and the team at Morada Albuquerque truly sets the standard. The staff, especially in the memory care neighborhood, are incredibly friendly, attentive, and deeply empathetic. They don’t just provide daily care, they treat residents with true dignity and genuine compassion. A major standout is their communication. They maintain excellent, proactive communication with families and care partners, and they are always highly responsive to questions. On top of that, the community is consistently clean and welcoming, and they do a wonderful job keeping residents engaged with a variety of fun, meaningful activities. It is wonderful to see a team bring so much comfort, joy, and peace of mind to everyone involved. I Highly recommend!

June 2026
I have nothing but positive things to say about Morada, their staff, and the care they provide to the people of New Mexico. A special shoutout to Risa, whom I have had the pleasure of working closely with over the years. She is compassionate, knowledgeable, and consistently goes above and beyond for the residents and families she serves. Finding the right place for a loved one is never an easy decision, but Risa and the team at Morada truly care about the people they serve and work hard to make residents feel supported and at home. If you are looking for a caring and welcoming community for your loved one, I highly recommend considering Morada.

I am a hospice chaplain who visits Morada regularly, especially the Memory Care facility. The staff is always kind, patient, and very attentive with residents. Excellent communication between staff, families, and visiting agencies such as hospice. People are cared for and genuinely loved here.
May 2026
Food is great and dining director/director are amazing
May 2026
Morada was a wonderful place for our mother to live. There were tons of activities for her to participate in. At times, there were staffing shortages which caused delays in responses and untimely medicine distribution, but managment always intervened when we had concerns and rectified the issues.
May 2026
They were great very helpful would recommend them and Dustin
May 2026
Love the staff, residents and comfort of Morada! My dad has been there for about a year. At first, there were some issues but the new management Exec Director Lindsay listened to me and took care of the issues. The caregivers and med techs take great care of my dad and truly care about the residents. They work very hard, running all day long. We love visiting with the other residents at meal time and hearing their stories. It feels like home. Mt dad feels very loved at Morada and has a great time in his daily exercise group and Happy hour. They have a lot of fun activities and a beautiful outdoor area with a pond to catch some sun! The food is great too, they have an awesome chef with a different menu everyday. There’s also a standard menu if you don’t like the specials.
May 2026
Lindsey leads her team with a passion for excellence, they are an amazing collection of human beings. Davita inspires love and connection through nurturing meals and entertainment. Risa pours her heart into the care of the most vulnerable dementia residents and coaches her team to provide the best care. I highly recommend this amazingly talented, passionate, caring team to love your family. If you are looking for the best for your loved one look no further!

As a hospice nurse, I frequently work with residents that live here. I even recommend this facility to patients who are searching for a place for either themselves or their loved one! Staff is so kind and gentle with patients and treat them like their own family. The grounds are always clean and they are always doing fun events with residents!

So greatful we found this assistant living. My Dad is 91 and he's watched over by a very attentive staff. From the receptionist to the care givers. He is food movitated and the kitchen chefs prepare an amazing varity of healthy food and are so kind to him. The resident RN guides us with his care and i could not feel more confident that he is in good hands. The facility manager has the biggest heart and truly cares about the residents. He appartment is cleaned, his laundry is done so this frees me up to spend quality time with him.
November 2025
Lindsay, Jamie, Sorisa, and their staff members awesome. Greatly appreciate them and they deserve all the raises and bonuses for their success for the company. Can’t fix problems if it is all 5 starsHighly recommend bigger corporation supports this facility better by providing more personnel to support in the Memory Care unit. Each resident within the memory care unit needs more support than the senior living and Assisted Living unit areas. More support personnel-to-residents ratio is highly required to improve the quality of life for the residents. the generation within the memory care unit deserves and have earned it before your share holders!
October 2025
Very happy since moving dad into assisted living at morada. The care team is always helpful. The community is beautiful and has a lot of amenities for dad to get out and socialize. He especially likes the workout classes. The staff is always available when you need them. Lindsey and her team have been incredible throughout the process.
October 2025
I have had nothing but great experiences since moving Mom to Morada. Staff is friendly and helpful, the community is beautiful, and the activities are engaging. Mom is making friends and finally putting on weight.
June 2025
I have been at Morada Albuquerque aa a resident of the senior living facility since March 2025. It was hard getting used to the facility. My care is mostly good. One thing to consider, the food served is bad. Sometimes I either go hungry or call door dash. Food is included in rent., but it should be an option. Just my opinion.
May 2025
I looked up the price and it said they started at $2700 a month. The I kept reading and it said they start at $3400. So which is it? Anyway, my friend lives there and I haven’t heard from her in several days. She’s not answering her phone. I called the front desk and asked if someone could check on her. I called back 50 minutes later and they still haven’t checked. I just think they should have checked right away. Maybe I’m wrong. They have a roach problem. Most of the staff are very nice but a few are quite rude. I’m still waiting for a call back.
February 2025
My mother was moving from out of state and into her new apartment. She had an issue with her paperwork which prevented her from moving in right away. I contacted Erica and worked with her for one day. She went above and beyond to get my mother’s paperwork squared away so she could move in. They were kind and very supportive. I am confident that my mother will be cared for in her new home. I do know that my mother loves her new place and the choice she made to be there.
December 2024
Great place for your loved one. I placed my brother here with Erica’s help. He was in the nursing home recovering from a burn he received at Presbyterian hospital. Erica was super supportive for helping me get him into the assisted living area. She kept in touch with me on a regular basis and made me feel comfortable during the transition. My brother has a very nice corner room with a great view and he loves it. Erica and Lindsay, director of the facility, worked tirelessly with me to make the arrangements. I live in Texas so they helped me to get my brother into a great place. He has a studio apartment with plenty of space for his belongings. He was so pleased to have his furniture around him. It’s very important to him that he is able to remain independent and everyone there encourages him to remain independent but they also make sure he is reminded of their availability. They check on him every 2 hours all throughout the night to make sure he is safe along with assisting him during the day when he needs help. He loves his caregivers. He loves the fact that he can have extra servings at meals. He has lost over 50 pounds from being bedridden in the hospital. He has a brain tumor so he’s unstable when he walks but none of the assistants hurry him they just stand by and make sure he doesn’t fall. They treat him like he’s the only person in the facility who needs help. Oscar and Alex are talking to him like he is an important friend. I love the extra attention they all give to each patient. Nikki and Val make sure he gets his medication on time and they keep the records updated. They are great nurses to manage so many patients and treat each one individually. Camille manages the front desk like a kind and caring general. She made sure that my brother received the correct wheelchair when it was delivered. I didn’t have to call the DME company to have them provide the right wheelchair. She called and corrected the issue. She and Erica kept me apprised of the situation when I returned to Texas so that I could know that my brother was being cared for and loved. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this facility. They truly care about every patient there. The residents have a beauty salon, library, movie theater, and attentive waiting staff in the dining room. You have given me peace of mind in a stressful situation. Thanks Morada for all you do to make the residents feel safe and happy
November 2024
My grandmother lives here and absolutely loves it! If she's happy we are all happy. The food served to her is what she wants to eat and she enjoys her dining experience! Update great aunt moved in and races about the soup! Loves the Chef!
November 2024
The food was amazing New Chef New Staff THANK you
November 2024
The direct care staff are friendly to my loved one. The Director of Health, is non-responsive to multiple messages left. I don’t know what she actually does but returning the calls of family members regarding their loved one’s health apparently doesn’t fall in her job description. The maintenance of the facility has improved greatly under the new Executive Director.
October 2024
My mom has been at Morada for 6 months. She is elderly and has dementia. Morada’s feedback and our experiences led us to the conclusion that she needed memory care. Everyone we have dealt with at Morada has been very compassionate and helpful during this new and challenging experience for my family and I. The memory care staff has been amazing! Kim and her whole team have treated my mom like family since the day she moved there. Mom enjoys the daily activities and companionship from the residents and staff. Thanks for all that you do, it has really made us more comfortable with entrusting her care with you.

My mother has lived at Morada Abq for the past 2.5 months in the assisted living area. Her one-bedroom apartment is in fine shape and plenty spacious with great lighting. The individual cooling/heating units are a huge improvement over the HVAC system of her previous care facility. The staff treats her wonderfully and with utmost respect. I have heard the medical technicians and caregivers interact with her in her room while I was listening on the phone and I have no concerns on the quality of care and compassion they administer. As her memory degrades they adjust to her comfort needs. I would like to specifically mention Erica Costello (Senior Lifestyle Consultant) who has been an invaluable resource to me in her very timely responses to my questions, even when they may not fall under her responsibility.
September 2024
I can't say enough about the incredible staff at Morada Memory Care. We took our mom to Morada after she had a brief stay at another facility in town, which was one of the worse places we have ever encountered after she because a resident. From the first call to Morada to the memory care level, everyone at Morada has been great, but especially the memory care staff. Kim, Gloria, Enriques, Liz, Gina, Juan, James, and all the other staff that I can't recall their names right this moment, were nothing short of incredible with our mom. She was wheelchair bound when we took her to Morada and within a few short months she was up and outwalking everyone. They all truly went above and beyond for her as well as all the other residents. We knew that we had found the place that we were all comfortable with leaving her at and knowing she would be well cared for. They are all so compassionate, kind, and understanding. I can't sign their praises enough. If you have a loved one who needs assisted living or memory care, don't hesitate to reach out to Morada. I would give them a 1000% recommendation!
July 2024
In my personal experience staff is kind and patient, The grounds are well manicured and the interior is modern. Erica the community liaison, has a vast knowledge and insight on senior living and care.
May 2024
From the very beginning they were wonderful. On my husband's first day there was an entourage of medical technicians and staff that came to greet him. They made a difficult experience much easier. Highly recommend them
May 2024
Our mom lived at Morada for a total of 4 years”in the Assisted Living section for 1.5 years and then in Memory Care and we highly recommend both! She had beautiful and spacious accommodations with lovely views in both areas. She made new friends quickly and participated in fun activities when in Assisted Living, and when she became confused and was no longer able to care for herself we made the decision to move her to the Memory Care floor. I honestly can’t say enough wonderful things about the memory care staff. They truly loved my mom and she adored them and considered them family. She was there during the Covid lockdown, but we had no worries because she was well cared for. The staff consistently communicated with family and even sent photos of my mom participating in memory care activities with her friends (fellow residents). Staff members and especially Kim, Gloria, Mirella, Enriquez, James and Deb were just incredible”they were professional, competent and caring and treated our mom with love and respect. Our mom passed there (under hospice care) and the support we received from the staff was outstanding. This place is amazing!
May 2024
The Memory Care staff, Deb, Liz, Enriques and the rest of the care staff, are all so friendly, helpful, patient and compassionate. Kim, the director is always so friendly, and ready to help wherever she is needed. She is a great listener and cares deeply about the staff and residents. I am forever grateful to these people who care so much for the well being of the residents.
April 2024
I moved into the Morada two months ago after being at another Senior Living facility. I could not be happier than here at the Morada. There is always something to do. If you’re bored it is nobody’s fault but your own because there is always something to do. The staff is amazing, friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend the Morada to anyone that needs a little extra assistance or has a family member that needs a senior living facility.
April 2024
Morada staff is passionate about senior care. As a social worker of a hospice company, this is one of my favorite places to visit patients due to the facility being lively and welcoming. Morada holds many inclusive events throughout the year which are always fun for everybody and staff are very interactive with residents.

We were devastated when we learned that mom required Memory Care in September, 2023. It was a difficult adjustment for all of us. Sine then we have been extremely happy with the care mom is receiving. Kim, Mireya, Enriquez, Gloria and the rest of the staff do an excellent job caring for mom.
October 2023
We recently toured this facility and found it to be very modern and up-to-date. The staff is amazing and always ready to help or answer a question. We decided to move our family member to this facility last week and could not be happier with the outcome. The most important thing is that he was dreading this move but after his first week there he simply loves it. I love getting his phone calls and hearing how happy he is and what a wonderful meal he had and what a great activity he just participated in.
September 2023
My sister lives here and she absolutely loves it. She has a sweet studio apartment with her little cat and a beautiful view of the courtyard. The care here is also phenomenal. They are professional and seem to be very friendly with all of the residents. Thank you Morada for keeping my sister safe and happy.
September 2023
I moved dad here after a very positive tour. He has some dementia and with aphasia, he understands but has cannot communicate. It has been wonderful he is engaging in activities he never would before. He has difficulty knowing where he is and how to find his way around. The staff is great about knowing where he is and getting him to meals and activities. When I come in and he isn't in his they seem to know where he is. Being at Morada has greatly reduced my stress level and I have a lot more time to accomplish other things now.
August 2023
Outstanding staff. We transferred our loved one from another memory care facility to Morada a few months ago. A world of difference!! The staff are top notch. All the caregivers in the memory care unit are amazing people. We have seen them treat all residents with the upmost love and compassion. Every person working there walks around with a big smile on their face. We have had close to 4 years experience with caring for a loved one in a memory care facility. Highly recommend this place.
July 2023
I have had problems with the care they provide to my mother who is extremely deaf and is unable to use aids which makes communication with her difficult. They don't ensure because of this problem that she is being communicated with so she doesn't miss anything when being spoken to. They do not make her feel included nor do they provide any type of activities she likes geared for a deaf person. I have to continually take her food because she can't make it to the dining room most days for meals and would have to order up to her room. She's deaf and can not make a phone call besides the meals come cold and slopped together with what ever they have ss left overs. I am very disappointed in this place for the amount of money she pays.
September 2022
My mother has lived at Moranda for the last few years however recently in the memory unit after the weekend we have found wet unire soaked bedding and wet clothes shoved in her closet with her clean clothes. She had not been given a shower or had her hair washed on Saturday as required.
May 2022
I visited this place and I liked it. The staffs were accommodating and they really cared about their residents. A staff even played acoustic live music to their residents and everyone was singing. I would say that was a beautiful scene.
May 2022
My mother lives at this facility. She moved into her apartment in July 2019, when the facility was owned by Atria Senior Living. It was very well managed, well staffed, had good food and she was very happy. Unfortunately, Atria sold the facility to Morada, a Texas wholly-owned subsidiary of Discovery Senior Living (Florida based) and Morada took over in early 2021. Longtime staff left in droves, partially due to the pandemic but primarily due to the change in ownership. Budgets were cut. They still haven't reopened the salon, yet they advertise it on their website. The food is passable, at best. Caregivers are in very short supply and appear to be agency folks, not employees. One med tech showed up at her door a couple weeks ago and tried to give her drugs that didn't belong to her. This is just one recent occurrence (of several) that scares me. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. My mother wants to stay because she likes her apartment and the location and doesn't want to change. Hopefully things will get better, but I'm not very optimistic. PS -- although the post below wants me to talk to Morada's Operation's Manager, I can't respond to the post nor would I. I have had many email and phone conversations with the man in Texas who is the operation's manager. Nothing positive resulted from those conversations. As others have said below, there is no communication between staff and residents. Staff is in short supply. Morada cares about one thing over everything -- money.
May 2022
My family and I toured this location for placement of a family member. It obviously could use some modern upgrades throughout - if you truly want that total WOW factor. But aside from that, the moment you walk in the lobby you are mesmerized by the high ceilings and get a warm feeling about it. You’re immediately greeted with a smile. I love the amenities offered like the Soda shop area, the theater, etc which I believe is in the area called Town Square. Nice comfortable community.

Mom has lived here since 2015. She loves the atmosphere & always having someone with whom to have coffee! I love the cleanliness, well-kept building & management. You should stop by for a tour!

I took a tour here for a relative and was impressed by how clean and nice the facility was! The staff was very kind and welcoming! I would be happy for my relative to stay here and know they would be well taken care of!

They told us thing's that would do for my father who has demintia. They did not do an thing that said they would. When they were called the would not talk or retuning the call. They then evicted my father and required a 24/7 babysitter while we found somewhere he could go. That was a cost of $2000 in about a week, on top of the rent he had already paid.
