I wanted to share my positive experience with St. Joseph's Home for Seniors. As a volunteer on weekends I've been incredibly impressed by the level of care and accommodations provided to residents. The staff is professional, compassionate, and always goes the extra mile to ensure residents' comfort and well-being. The medical care is top-notch, and the facility itself is clean, inviting, and well-maintained. I wholeheartedly recommend St. Joseph's Home for Seniors to anyone seeking a caring and supportive environment for their loved ones. Sincerely, John McDevitt

Thank you for taking such good care of your residents. My special friend experienced such pure JOY at St Joseph's. There were fun experiences that re-enabled her strong social skills and she was in her element. It was so evident in every photo captured. She especially enjoyed being able to go your chapel to receive Holy Communion. God bless you all.

We moved my mom to St. Joseph's from another nursing home and it was the best decision we could have made. The entire staff and the nuns are wonderful. I can see that they actually care about her. The nurses and the nuns are so attentive and so caring towards her and all of their residents. I feel secure knowing my mom is getting the care she needs.

A wonderful facility to work in (27 years)). So many good people under one roof who truly care about our fellow human beings! It's hard to find now a days. God Bless the Sisters of the Imaculent Conseption for their dedication to the elderly it is truly a wonderful and inspiring thing to witness.

Few moments in my life had been more difficult than the decision to send first my dad, then my mom, to a nursing center. I was especially scared after having experience with another center where my mom was often left unattended and unable to properly feed herself, the thought of which puts me in tears to this day. St. Joseph's is different. The nuns at St. Joseph's are incredibly caring and attentive. My parents were both always well fed and always in a clean environment, and able to enjoy activities that they weren't able to do anywhere else. It's worth noting that they were both in difficult post-stroke, mostly paralyzed health conditions. Whenever I could, I always tried to observe how their neighbors were taken care of, and I found the care consistent. Knowing that special care wasn't being taken only on days that I happened to visit helped me sleep better. We don't have a lot of money, but I continue to donate items to St. Joseph's home long after my parents passed due to the excellent care they received. I would highly recommend this nursing home for those looking for a place for their loved ones.

No words can accurately describe the difference between other "facilities" and this "home". The staff here is truly doing "God's Work". If you can get your loved one here, do it.
May 2024
This place truly feels like home, with lots of harmony and lovely services provided by the nuns. The residents were also well-treated. Everything has high standards for cooperating with one another and is spotless. I love the nuns.

I am Community Health Worker and i work with a program called Global Grace Health Be the Change which comes from the Reformed Church of Highland Park NJ and we work closely with the wonderful Nuns and staff here at the nursing home and they are so kind and sweet to our team members and they let us volunteer with the residents here and we do vaccine clinics for the residents living here and we do other various projects and the nursing home is always involved in. I will definitely recommend this Nursing home if anyone needs to place a loved one here. They are in very good hands.

St. Joseph's is a wonderful home for my Mother! She began in Assisted Living and is currently living in Nursing Center. The quality of care, the outstanding staff and the cleanliness are the best around. I am extremely happy with St. Joseph's!

Heaven on Earth! Mom was never happier than when she lived at St. Joe's. Beautiful rooms, gardens and Staff. Caring, warmth and love every day .. as much as you need. Prayer and love and joy to all who reside there and work there. Do not hesitate to consider this wonderful facility for yourself or a loved one.

We are very happy that we found St. Josephs and transferred relative from another facility. The comparison is night and day. The sisters and staff are very attentive, the ease of communication and care for the residents is amazing. Our only regret is that we have not found this place sooner!
October 2023
When my mom needed to enter an Assisted Living center, I had no idea where to go. A friend told me about St Joseph's. Well the minute I walked in, it was so welcoming. I then knew this was the place for mom...She has been here almost 2 years. The Sisters, the staff, could not be more kind, helpful and caring. The service is outstanding. This is the place to be if your loved one needs care.
October 2023
We toured this facility a year ago. We loved it. The interaction with the patients by staff, the cleanliness and attention to detail, however, it has been a year and we still have not moved from place in line. We know that a lot of facilities in this area don't take on Hispanics and we pray that your facility is not the same.
October 2023
My mom could not get better care and attention. Staff is just wonderful and very attentive.

May God always bless St. Joseph's and our dear residents...

I am writing this review on behalf of my father, Robert, who was a resident at Saint Joseph's Senior Nursing Home for 1 year and 10 months. After a long search for a place for him to call HOME I consider myself extremely fortunate to have found St. Joseph's. My Dad had suffered a terrible accident and then a stroke and seizure due to TBI. Therefore, leaving him paralyzed completely on his left side and in need of being wheelchair bound and in need of round-the-clock care. Robert came to St. Joseph's on September 1, 2021 from JFK Hospital. He was disheveled and disoriented and the Sisters' and nurses (and guidance of their doctors), welcomed him with open arms. They gave him a complete makeover with a shower, shave, clean clothes, haircut, a good meal and tender loving care and compassion. I almost didn't recognize him. The Sisters', nurses, CNA staff and all staff members worked diligently and tirelessly to assist in his adjustment and new way of life. After a few months my Dad became adjusted quite well along with the right medications and therapy. Finally, he was able to call Saint Joseph's "his new home". My Dad received the finest medical, psychological care and everyday physical care. The whole staff at St. Joe's is wonderful, kind, loving, compassionate, attentive, friendly, informative, and had a sense of humor. (They needed that with my Dad). He received excellent care and support from all. When he would become ill, proper medicine was always given and I was always kept informed. The home's cleanliness is beyond excellent, as is the homemade food prepared on the premises, and its decor is very inviting. Residents have the chance to be part of many activities, games, arts and crafts, musical functions, movies, special guests and volunteers to name a few. The beautiful garden of flowers and gorgeous murals drawn by the Sisters' are soothing and have such a serene, calming atmosphere, as does the building as a whole. There is a beautiful stained-glass chapel where residents can attend church services or visit as needed. My Dad was able to celebrate 2 birthdays at St. Joes's. As his health and condition began to deteriorate, the Sisters, nurses, CNAs' and everyone involved were very attentive to all his needs, treated him with dignity and love and compassion during his comfort care. Dad passed away on July 17, 2023 with me by his side. I thank Saint Joseph's and God that Robert, my Dad, found his special place there to spend the last 22 months of his life with such beautiful people to look after his every need. They had always said my Dad made them laugh and knew how to brighten their day. I especially want to thank his nurses, Sue, MaryEllen and Sister Joanna. Also, Sisters Monika and Elzbieta, Matthew, Dionne, each and everyone of the CNAs', Tunde, Juan, food service people, and cleaning crew and all the Sisters' that make Saint Joseph's operate as a very special place for our loved ones to find a second home. I highly recommend Saint Joseph's Senior Nursing Home and Assisted Living Facility 100% to anyone whose loved one needs special care. It is a great run facility by so many wonderful, qualified people. I thank you for taking such excellent care of my father. God Bless you all! Sincerely, Lillian Dix

There are no words that can express the care my mother receives at St. Joseph's. The sisters and staff are the best of the best! Thank you for everything your facility provides and the love provided to my mother and all who enter through your front doors!

We are very pleased with the care for my MIL at St. Joseph's. The sisters and staff are extremely attentive to her needs. The home is always clean and well staffed. There are beautiful gardens where the residents are able to sit outside to enjoy the weather and scenery. There are also many activities, bingo, painting, games, etc to keep everyone busy and engaged. There is also occasional entertainment from an outside person or group. The sisters are always available to answer any questions or concerns that might arise and keep us well informed of my MIL's needs and care. I would highly recommend St. Joseph's Senior Home if you are looking for a place for your loved one. St. Joseph's has given us peace of mind for her daily care. Thank you St. Joseph's for being a caring and wonderful place for my MIL to spend her final years.
November 2022
No better place on earth for seniors in need. The compassion and wonderful care is beyond belief . The care that the sisters And the staff provide is wonderfull. I am so happy that we found this place for Mom since we could not manage ourselves. I go to sleep every night knowing that she is safe. Many activities to keep our loved ones busy. There is always something going on .

Everyone is familiar with the expression "it takes a village to raise a child". St. Joseph's has a phenomenal village in caring for seniors! I don't consider St. Joseph's a nursing home but a senior dormitory where families share a common interest and want their loved ones to have the best golden years. My mom has been a resident for 7 months and the care she receives is exceptional. Everyone gives from their hearts. Thank you, St. Joseph's for being part of my family!
June 2022
My mother in law, Anna has been at St. Josephs a little over a week ago and we love it. Everyone is so sweet and have been taking excellent care of her and she is adjusting well too. Immaculate and the Nuns and staff , couldn't ask for better people. Thank you to all for taking great care of mom. Bless all of you!!!
May 2022
This is a great facility. My mother in law has been a resident for about a year now. She was in another facility for about a year prior. There is no comparison. The care she receives at St Joseph's is outstanding. Sister Elizabeth is so compassionate. She is a beautiful person. All the Sisters are great and it is obvious their #1 priority is caring for the residents. Every time we visit, my mother in law looks well cared for. The facility is super clean. Stephanie, the social worker, is wonderful too. Always around to answer questions and providing support that helps us feel better. The nurses, Sue and Mary Ellen, are great as well. I can go on and on......... Thank you St. Joseph's!!!!

This was an absolutely wonderful and perfect place for my grandma. Here are some words from my mom expressing how appreciative my whole family has been of the heartfelt care the incredible staff gave my dear grandma: It was a perfect place for our Mom .Very warm and dedicated staff, clean and beautiful facilities . Plenty of activities for the residents , easy and accommodating process of our visits there . My mother in law Janina , was always happy there, whenever we visited her , she was assuring us that we couldn't find a better place for her , she loved everything about this place She spent her last 9 months of her life in St Joseph's Nursing Home being happy and surrounded by nice , beautiful and caring religious Nuns , professional nurses and their assistants. God Bless all who were caring for my mother in law Janina Bogdanowicz, we appreciate all of you , we will have all of you in our prayers Family of Janina Bogdanowicz

Our beautiful Mom was at St. Joseph's. This is the most caring, compassionate place you could ever as for, for your loved one! Everyone from the Nuns, nurses, aides and staff are amazing!!! Also the cleanest, well run assisted living and nursing home.
June 2021
My mom has been a resident at St. Joseph's for 2 years and I cannot say enough about how wonderfully she is cared for. The Sisters and the staff treat each resident with love and respect. It is their ministry and it shows. I can sleep at night knowing my mom is safe and loved by all. Placing your loved one is a very difficult decision but my advice is to run to St. Joe's - you will not regret it!
April 2021
My mom stayed with the Sisters for about 3 years until her death in 2016. My Mother attended daily mass for many years as a younger woman. She was so very grateful to be able to continue thIs practice with the Sisters. My Mom was having trouble remembering her medications preparing her meals and taking care of herself in general. She had always been meticulous about all these things but she was getting older and she knew it. While maintaining her independence as much as possible she relied on the sisters and staff and was very happy and content at St Joseph's. At the end of visits to our house she would request to be taken to back to her Home at St Joseph's. The Sisters took better care of my Mom then we could have here. We too are very grateful to St Joseph's home for the services they provided to my Mom, some of the Sisters even came to her funeral and said the Chaplet. Save a two bed suite for us Sister Z , were not getting any younger here.
March 2021
I don't know where to begin to thank the beautiful, amazing, fun, compassionate, and loving staff at St. Joseph's! Entrusting you with Mom's care was the best decision we could have made for her. It had become too difficult to care for her in a home that was not handicapped friendly, so we made what at the time was a difficult decision to bring her to St. Joseph's. If we had only known how she would blossom and regain her sense of humor while there, we wouldn't have had a moment of worry. She gained some much needed weight, was able to take the baths she missed, and was happily able to attend Mass again. Most importantly, she was laughing again! Sometimes we would FaceTime and she would start joking around with one of the fun-loving staff that had entered her room - which was wonderful to see. We are deeply grateful for the love and impeccable care she received in the five months she was living there. Sadly she developed an inoperable obstruction, and she was moved to "comfort care". But she was not the only one who received loving comfort at this difficult time - that love and care was extended to our family, and we are eternally grateful to so many of you for making her as comfortable as possible in those last few weeks, and for keeping us constantly updated on her condition. Most people we tell about our experience say they didn't think a place like this actually exists. Well it does, and we thank God every day that Mom was fortunate enough to be a part of this loving "home". Thank you from the bottom of our hearts...God bless you all!

We were blessed to have found St Joseph's for our Mom when she was not able to live her life independently after a major life changing event. Mom called St Joseph's Assisted Living her home. It was not just "in name", but was truly her place of security, comfort, care, respect & overall wonderful quality of life. The caring & dedicated staff & Sisters who tirelessly dedicate themselves to St Joseph's mission of caring for our beautiful elders, had won our hearts over & were like extended family to us as well. The beautiful Chapel, lovely rooms, happy recreational activities, as well as social settings in the dining room geared to match compatible residents to enhance & encourage their sociability skills, are just a few of many well thought out ways in which they create a unique & blessed way of life for all fortunate enough to call it "home" Our family encourages anyone seeking piece of mind in the search for a truly all around beautiful life for their loved one to turn to St Joseph's to answer their prayers. Our Mom & family have had the privilege of calling it "HOME" & wish the same for you! The family of Marcy

My mother, referred to as "Little Ania" by the Sisters, is so very much loved and cared for at St. Joseph's. During many of my visits to Joseph's I have observed that every resident is treated as though they were a one of a kind, precious, valuable work of art. I am in no way exaggerating this statement...it is the truth.
July 2020
St Joseph's is second to none. My mother in law really enjoys living there. I have seen first hand the love, caring, and compassion the residents receive all day everyday. My mother in law is thriving at St Joseph's and I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs an extra level of care that they can't get at home.
May 2020
Thank you Sisters and Staff for taking such good care of my mom. I know she is very happy there, and she really enjoys each day. She always says "This is my home." She has no words to express her happiness. Being far away, I feel that joy in her voice, each time we talk. I am glad my mom is at St. Joseph's Senior Home. May God bless you all.

My grandmother was looking for a catholic assisted living which are hard to find. We came across St. Joseph's and were immediately impressed by the social worker and staff's welcomeness. She has now been here 3 years and I am blown away by how caring and dedicated this staff really is. In the pandemic they risked their own lives and families to care for these elder people including my grandmother. They call and give me updates on how she is and any thing out of the ordinary they alert me right away. We could not have found a better place. Special thank you to Sister Lucy and Justina who always make me feel welcome and heard.

The senior home is clean and homely, with dedicated and caring staff who provide activities and individualised care for residents. I highly recommend this centre.
February 2020
Upon arrival at the center one immediately notices how meticulous and well manicured the grounds are. The center itself is well maintained, very clean and always welcoming. Periodically decorations appear and the facility is transformed to reflect the season or holiday. Efforts are made to entertain and engage residents in various activities including therapy for those that are capable. The sisters and staff make a concerted effort to make all the residents feel welcomed and respected. Being local I visit daily and can say without reservation that this was the best placement for my 99 yr. young mom. In fact it, was her decision to be there and I cannot be more pleased with her choice. The Little Servant Sisters are such a blessing to all the residents. God Bless them and the entire staff for such outstanding quality care.

Our Aunt spent many years at St. Joe's. Loved how everyone cared for her. This was her home, and we felt at home when visiting. She passed over a year ago, and we truly miss seeing everyone. We highly recommend St. Joseph's for anyone needing care and a lot of love!
February 2020
Our mother has been a resident at St. Joseph's Assisted Living for almost 8 years. The staff is very attentive, food is very good and the activities department is excellent. We are truly grateful, and have piece of mind knowing that she is getting such loving care. St. Joseph's Assisted Living is a place where human dignity is preserved in sometimes difficult situations. We hope that St Joseph's is around for a long time so that many more can benefit from the excellent care. Forever Grateful, The children of Maria Zygmaniak

For many years I've been going to visit residents of St. Joseph's senior Home with the Polish kids from CCD from Perth Amboy. Every Christmas kids make greeting cards and we go singing Christmas Carols together with the residents. The smiles on their faces tells everything. This place is magical. Sisters are very loving, caring, respectful and professional. They providing high quality medical service and make everyone feel at home. If you looking for an assisted living facility or a nursing center for your family member, I highly recommend St. Joseph's Senior Home.

My mother moved from Brighton Gardens to St. Joseph's Senior Home in Woodbridge NJ. This facility far exceeds the care of her former facility from washing her clothes every day to her whirlpool baths to the in house hair salon. The nuns special care and their great staff have made my mother flourish. The 17 nuns and staff really understand the needs of the elderly and have dedicated their lives to doing so. One visit is all you will need to know this is the place to care for your elderly relative. Tim

My Aunt currently resides at St.Joseph's Senior Home and is well cared for by the fabulous, jovial, nuns and attentive staff. She survived the recent Covid crisis and is doing better than ever under their care. The sisters are adhering to the new strict visitation rules for the residents safety, which I hope changes soon. In the meantime she is extremely well cared for and in good spirits and health. God Bless the Sisters at St. Joe's!

My mom has been at St Joseph's Senior Home for the last 2 years and I can't say enough good things about the sisters and staff there. They take such good care of my mom and always have her best interests at heart and it eases the worries of the family knowing she is well taken care of. They are so kind and accommodating to her needs and she is always smiling when we go and see her. Obviously, transitioning a family member from a lifelong home to an assisted living environment is stressful on everyone involved, but St Joseph's made that transition as easy as possible for my mom and the family. If you are looking for an assisted living facility for a family member, I highly recommend St Joseph's Senior Home.

My Mom, Jo Chylko, was a resident at St. Joseph's from 2002 to 2010: six years in the Assisted Living section and two years in the nursing home section. She really loved her time there, and the Sisters took wonderful care of her. I have shared this next part of the story with any friends: When my Mom's time of death was approaching, two things happened: 1] one Sister was assigned to her bedside to make sure she was comfortable, and 2] another Sister was assigned to Chapel to pray for her until she died. When I later commented on this extraordinary care to one of the Sisters, she looked at me and replied, "But we do this for ALL of our Residents." When my time to meet the Good Lord comes, I would certainly want two Sisters taking care of me in such a manner. I am, and forever will be, most grateful to the Little Servants Sisters of the Immaculate Conception for the care they gave my Mom, and the care they give all their people. God Bless, and our Blessed Mother protect you all! Rev. Gerard H. Chylko, C.Ss.R. {A photo of my Mom with Sr. Louise.}
