Pines Village is a warm and inviting place. I feel safe living here. There is always a nurse on site so if i do have a problem i can always call and they are there to help me. the Independent living nurse (Dana) is helpful, caring, and always has a smile on her face. The food is always hot and delicious. I have lived here for 3 years and in those 3 years i have made new friends and have never felt unwelcome. Its not a community but a family down to the Employees who Always show up with smile.

My parents have been living in the assisted living for nearly a year. Their quality of life has improved tremendously and they are very happy. The facility is clean and the decor is appealing. The staff truly does care!!! (Of course they would benefit from having a little more staff, but this is unfortunately true for all health care related facilities). It has a wonderful, warm, cozy, friendly atmosphere. There are plenty of activities and events to keep the residents entertained and stimulated. And the food is very good. I would highly recommend The Pines Village in Whiting NJ to anyone considering assisted living for themselves or their family members.

I want to visit my friend who is living in the Pines Assisted Living on the First Floor. She asked me to get her some toilet paper. Their policy is the family should buy the loved one toiletries. I understand that a person probably likes a particular tooth brush, tooth paste, soap, facial cleanser, dry skin creams, wrinkle creams, cortisone creams. But TOILET PAPER? I think for the price they charge, they should provide the client with Toilet Tissue. I think that is just plain cheap. My friend enjoys it there. She likes the care she receives, the cleanliness, the food, & the activities. I just think they should pay for the toilet tissue. I've been in hotels, rehabs, & hospitals and they never charged you for toilet tissue. It was included in the price. I think it should be included in the price here. I've been in hotels, rental houses, rehabs & hospitals and they never charged you for toilet tissue. It was included in the price. I asked AI if a permanent assisted living facility should provide their customers with Toilet Paper & it what they said: " It's generally considered questionable for an assisted living facility to charge high monthly fees and then require residents to pay for basic necessities like toilet paper. While assisted living costs can be substantial, including items like toilet paper is often seen as a basic aspect of the provided services. This is why it's considered questionable: High monthly fees: Assisted living facilities already charge substantial fees for room and board, meals, and other services. Basic necessity: Toilet paper is a fundamental hygiene item, and it's expected that a facility providing care would include it in their services. Focus on holistic care: Assisted living focuses on providing a comfortable and supportive environment for residents, and requiring them to pay for toilet paper can be seen as a small detail that adds to the overall cost and can be perceived as a lack of care. Hamilton Place at Pines Village is an excellent sub acute rehab facility. My dad was there after a recent hospitalization. Extremely clean, private room, AMAZING staff— from dining services to housekeeping, aides and nurses, to administration - they go above and beyond. Thank you! You made a difficult transition so much easier for my family!

The staff is friendly and helpful. The place is clean. If you have an issue or a problem, they will fix it right away.

We were so happy to find this sub acute rehab after searching for a place to put our mother after her hospital stay. This place exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, she had a private room, private bath (spotlessly clean) the staff was very caring and attentive and tended to all of our mothers needs. The staff constantly checked on mom day and night and made sure she was well cared for. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs sub acute care.

Moving can be a daunting task. Coleen, Jennifer and everyone else were there for us to facilitate a smooth move. They were always available to assist us in anyway possible. Can't thank the team at the Pines enough.
July 2024
The new owners (1) have let long time staff go, (2) reduced maintenance services, (3) increased costs by >15%, (4) reduced on-site staffing, (5) focused on upgrading empty units at the cost of reducing services and increasing prices, (6) began charging for transportation to medical appointments (which used to be free) and, most importantly, (7) largely abandoned the Christian principles that were part of the vision Bill Raws had to build Keswick Pines in the first place... in place of profit.

My husband just spent approximately 12 days at the Pines Rehab. We found the nurses, administrators and all aids to be very helpful and pleasant. They go out of their way for the patients. Anything my husband needed they were more than willing to accomodate him. He said the food was delicious and enjoyed the meals. The physical therapists assisted him with the therapy he needed. He improved under their care and is now at home. It is a very warm and inviting place. We are very thankful to all the staff at the Pines Village Rehab.

The staff at The Pines has provided excellent care for my Father when we were no longer able to care for him at home (during the final stages of dementia). The staff does an excellent job getting the residents out of bed, keeping them clean, feeding them at a table even when they need assistance eating, and consistently being compassionate and attentive to their needs. Recognizing this is an incredibly challenging job and often thankless environment, the nurses and caregivers treat their work as a responsibility that is more than a job and provide the residents and families with a comforting option when living independently at home is no longer an option.

Just a wonderful place. Everyone cares and it shows.

I had an elderly relative in independent living at The PInes for the last nine years. It's a comfortable atmosphere, and I have found staff to be very responsive, caring people and recommend this place highly.

Amazing place for the elderly. Love coming here to help my clients that need help with their technology needs. The care the receive here is bar none. Everyone is happy. When I get old this is the kind of place I would like to be at. I would recommend this place to any one and look forward to helping.

I interviewed here on 3/25/22 and from the moment I entered the building, I had good vibes. Once inside I was greeted by everyone who passed by me, and I reciprocated. After being interviewed by the dietary dept. I had a pretty good idea that The Pines was a place I wanted to be. So, if all of my pre-hire tests and paperwork are free of any blemishes, I can report to work in a few weeks. Looking forward to providing the residents great service, friendships, and LOVE.
September 2019
I toured here several years ago with my grandparents. Four months later they moved into the independent living. My grandfather used therapy services when he really needed it, and he later stayed in Hamilton for palliative care. He was able to pass with both love and dignity thanks to the amazing care. The therapy staff is just as amazing, and helped my grandmother following her knee replacement. Living so faraway it brings me peace of mind knowing The Pines is so amazing.
August 2019
My grandparents lived here for 10+ years (mostly lived in independent living). They were very happy there and my family always felt happy and secure with the help the received. My grandpa passed away 2 years ago and my Grandma earlier this year. About 4 months after her passing, I received a small package in the mail. Inside were pictures I had sent my Grandma of her new great grandchild throughout the year, also enclosed was a note from a social worker, saying they had found these hidden in her old room. It brought tears to my eyes not only seeing these pictures, but after 4 months of her passing, a social worker still went the extra step of mailing them back to me instead of just tossing them out. That is the kind of person that truly cares about their job. I don't think I ever met someone that worked there, that was just there for a paycheck. I would 100% recommend The Pines as a place to live.
July 2019
I have resided at the Pines for the past 13 months, and life couldn't be better. The staff are wonderful, always ready and willing to help. Fellow residents, also great. We are one big happy family. Food good, great variety, and three different dining rooms of your choosing. Amenities galore, more than you can ask for. Beauty salon, exercise classes, and equipment in the fitness center. Brain games, trivia, etc. Seated volleyball, bocce, shuffleboard, Wii bowling, and classes in flower making, jewelry making, and art, weekly entertainment, and movies. Almost forgot, bible study classes twice a week, and weekly Vespers every Sunday. God's help is everywhere. Need help? Our chaplain is always here to give us support. We are truly blessed here at the Pines. Needless to say, I couldn't be happier. Come and join the good life. At least pay us a visit, you might decide to stay.
July 2019
Pines has a friendly and very helpful staff and a good selection of comfortable and well-maintained apartments with individual heat control. The food is good and the menu has ample variability. We have experienced a very smooth transition when my wife had to be moved from the independent living section to the nursing care. I have been recommending Pines to my friends and would not hesitate to continue to recommend it to friends (and even enemies).
