My Mom and Dad have been at Brighton Gardens since June 2025. My Dad passed in January, my Mom is days from following him. No one wants to see their parents age, but it’s part of the Circle of life that we must accept. We feel incredibly fortunate to have been able to place my folks here at Brighton, the facility is clean, bright, airy, like a small, intimate hotel. But what makes Brighton special, is the internal staff and the hospice services they use. This staff cares, they truly care! There simply is not enough money, not enough gratitude, not enough respect for what these people do and endure. I will be eternally grateful to Brighton as a facility and to all of their staff. They have given me something very rare, and nearly impossible to buy peace of mind

My parents moved into the facility 6 weeks ago and it has been a wonderful experience. My mom is in the memory care unit and seems to be adjusting well, is very happy, doing tons of art projects, and we get lots of great pictures and updates through their family activities app. My dad is in assisted living, has begun participating in the myriad of activities, and has even been able to plant tomatoes, his favorite summer activity that was important for him to continue. For my sister and I, we have nothing but great things to say about the facility. The staff is incredible - extremely communicative, constantly reaching out with updates, and keeping us informed. My daughter loves visiting because of the cats that roam assisted living and the bird in memory care. It has been super welcoming for our family visits, no one seems bothered by my young ones being around and there are always other families there. I am very pleased with this facility and it has been a great decision for our family!

Our mother was a resident at Brighton many years ago and now our aunt is a resident. Both experiences have been very positive and the staff is very attentive and nice. Brighton has been the best place in our area to care for our loved ones.

My dad has been here for two years now and it’s been a great fit for him. Because it’s a smaller place, he’s much more comfortableit’s much more home-y than the gigantic newer facilities and he loves interacting with all of the wonderful staff members (whom he considers friends) on a daily basis. Nursing and admin staff have also been very helpful and responsive in my experience so far.

April 2025 Update - This April marks the end of the 3rd year my mom has been living at Brighton Gardens. The care and support in this community has been consistently excellent. My brothers and I are fortunate to be close-by, which allows us to spend a lot of time there. Every day we observe the team members supporting, engaging, and caring for the residents as if they were taking care of their own loved ones. Over the past 3 years, the leadership team, the nursing team, and a large portion of the staff has been consistent. Not a lot of staff turnover, which I perceive as positive. 100% recommend. Choosing an Assisted Living Community is very difficult for so many reasons. My brother and I visited several and decided that Brighton Gardens of West Orange was the best fit for my parents. The staff is amazing! They are knowledgable, collaborative, and excellent communicators. They communicate well amongst themselves; they are always in sync. And, they communicate with us very well. They are proactive and always available. The facility is clean and everything is well organized/coordinated. My parent’s apartment is comfortable and safe. We have peace of mind that our parents are in a secure, comfortable place surrounded by a team of dedicated, caring professionals.

We couldn’t ask for a better senior community for my wonderful Mom! Within just a couple of weeks, she settled in and calls it her forever home. She is safe, surrounded by loving caregivers, and has made solid friendships. The care is top-notch, the activities are interesting, fun, and varied, the meals are quite delicious. (The chef also prepares special meals variations just for my gluten-free mom!) I highly recommend Brighton Gardens to anyone considering a caring, safe, and vibrant assisted living community for a loved one.

My father lived here for almost 5 years. The loving and compassion these care team members showed to my father was wonderful. The specific location is older, however it is more of a home, and has a cozy atmosphere. I would recommend Sunrise to all friends and family.

I am very blessed to have my father at Brighton gardens the staff and nurse are absolutely amazing. I know how hard it is to take care of a elderly person but they never seem annoyed or short tempered with anyone. My family is very happy with the care that my father is receiving here. The environment is warm and welcoming. The building is clean and his room is always organized and clean too. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and they treat you like family. They really take great care of my father, and he feels so comfortable here. He loves the staff and his aides. The cats that greet you in the lobby are a nice addition too!
