The care that my mom is being given at Venetian Care & Rehab Center is amazing. From the physical therapists, nurses, doctors and staff; they all have been very attentive to my mom and all handle themselves in a professional manner with constant communication about her care and progress. The facility is extremely clean and well staffed. My mom always eats all her food, commenting how very good it tastes, and that’s coming from a picky eater. I would not hesitate to recommend Venetian to anyone needing rehabilitation for themselves or a family member.

What a fabulous community! It was truly a pleasure spending the afternoon with the amazing, vibrant, and engaging team at Venetian Care & Rehabilitation Center. From the Administrator to every member of the staff, everyone was incredibly welcoming, kind, and dedicated. The positive energy throughout the community was evident, and it was clear how much the team genuinely cares about their residents and one another. A special thank you to Valeria, Allison, and Maryann for the warm welcome and for helping make the Summer Fun Ice Cream Social such a wonderful event. From the first conversation that I had with the Venetian regarding my mother’s arrival, I knew that we were in good hands. Melissa and Angelina in admitting, Ronnie in the business office, Juana, the Social Worker and ALL of the staff have been wonderful! These people have made all of us feel so comfortable. My mother has been in Venetian Center for almost 4 years. Her name is Viola and she lives on the 4th floor. My name is Arlene Sharir Jacobs and I am one of her daughters. I have given the new Venetian 5 stars because the new owners have been here for a few months and are trying their best to clean up the mess that has been left behind by the previous owners.My experience with the new owners is the moment they took over the building, they have supported Sandra our administrator, in her decisions with improving Venetian and one of the best decisions was in hiring Kevin Fisher as our DON. Both of them, along with Michael (administrator), are working diligently to fix any and all things that come in front of their path that is not an asset to the residents. Keep in mind, that they must be told about a staff member whose behavior does not follow Venetian culture or a situation that does not adhere to the well being of the residents in order to address it. I have found that speaking to them as if Sandra is my sister or Kevin and Michael are my brothers, helps me tell them everything. And honestly, all my concerns are addressed because I see the change. And if the change is temporary and if my concerns reoccur, I go back downstairs and they go back upstairs to address the problem with, I guess, more conviction. The team is trying and succeeding and again, I can say this because I see the change.My mom means the world to me and everyone knows it in this building and yes, my expectations are high for Venetian because she lives here. You might see me driving my mom around in her Gerry chair or you might catch me sitting down in our Bistro area looking out the window with my mom. You can stop by and say hi as we continue in this chapter together. And I know with our help as loving family members sharing all our concerns and frustrations to the right people, if and or when they occur, the new Venetian will continue it’s growth as one of the best homes for our loved ones.

My grandmother has been at Venetian since August of 2025. We absolutely love this facility. She used to be in a different one where she was in her room all day and had zero interaction with other patiences. Once we switched her to Venetian care. You can see a huge change. She is always out in the common area with other guest. Playing bingo, coloring, doing crafts or just mingling with each other. Very clean facility and they have an amazing staff. Highly recommend!

My brother Max has been living at the Venetian care center for almost 2 years now the building is very nice and bright and always clean. Every time I come to visit there is always fun games and music playing. all the staff is very helpful from the nurses and social worker and the offices downstairs the lady who help with my brother insurance always has the right answers to my questions and makes sure by brother get his check on time. thank you for taking care of my family.

I’ve worked very closely with Venetian for 4 years, and it has always been a great experience. Recently, my company needed help placing one of our residents in their facility, and the admissions department was outstanding. The Venetian Experience has been the most rewarding and the best Healthcare and Rehab facility, New Jersey has to offer. I received the best care after my limb removal surgery. And also the best Rehab Therapists training you to regain your independence and to be healthy again!The nurses are on point,the nurses aids are on point,starting from the head of the facility,straight down to the ranks of every employee,It's a family-oriented, atmosphere,where people really do care!My mother and father, are no longer with us. I’m not physically there, so everything I know and feel comes through my mother”but even from a distance, I can sense the peace in her voice. The way she speaks about everything now is softer, calmer, and filled with relief, and that alone tells me how much has changed. Seeing that weight lifted from her heart means more to me than I can explain. And when I video chat with my grandmother and see the happiness in her eyes and the comfort in her smile, it reassures me in a way nothing else could. Even miles away, I can feel that she’s finally safe, cared for, and at peace. That sense of calm travels straight to my heart, bringing me comfort, gratitude, and a deep sense of love that stays with me long after the call ends. Danielle Cisnero was truly a blessing during one of the most stressful times for our family. She helped me gather all the information needed to move my mother, Cristina, out of a horrible facility and into this one. From the very beginning, I explained the poor care my mom was receiving and the unacceptable conditions she was living in, and Danielle immediately stepped in with compassion and determination. She guided me step by step, stood by my side, and helped me contact the health insurance company as well as the previous nursing administration, who unfortunately kept giving me false information and the runaround to delay the transfer. Through it all, Danielle remained incredibly professional and knowledgeable, but most of all she was sweet, compassionate, patient, and loving. She never gave up until my mom was finally transferred safely. Her dedication meant more to me than words can express. In just a couple of days at Venetian, my mom has already received multiple evaluations to help her get the care and support she truly deserves. She is playing bingo, singing along, enjoying the activities, and absolutely loves the food. Most importantly, she feels cared for and happy. The staff has been nothing but kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. I am forever grateful to Venetian Care and to Danielle, Vicky, and the entire staff. Danielle went above and beyond to make sure both my mom and I felt supported, heard, and at peace. Thank you for giving my mother the quality of life she deserves and for treating her with the dignity, love, and respect every family hopes for.

The nursing staff has treated me wonderfully throughout my entire stay. Physical therapy has also been helping me tremendously. Ashley community relations assisted me with my admissions to Venetian both times, and the quality of care has continued to improve. The activity team keeps me engaged, and they always make things fun. I would recommend this place to anyone

I am very pleased with the care I received here at Venetian. The nursing staff was excellent”always on time with my medications and ready to help with anything I needed. Kevin (D.O.N.), Joe (Administrator), and Juana (Social Worker) were always available to talk whenever I had questions or concerns. Physical therapy was outstanding. They worked with me consistently, never gave up on me, and helped me make real progress. I would definitely recommend Venetian to anyone looking for rehab. My mom cannot dress or clean herself, yet when I picked up her clothing, I found fecal-soiled clothes wrapped in a plastic bag. This is not a one-time mistake”it's a sign of poor hygiene care. My mom reported that her calls for help to be changed went unanswered, despite having an open wound and a rash on her buttocks. She left the hospital with a healing wound, but after arriving here she contracted norovirus and now has extensive wound issues. Her doctor believes the worsening wounds may be due to improper care and fecal contamination, which lines up with what I found in her belongings. To make matters worse, after calling the facility to report this, no one returned my call. My mother is vulnerable and deserves dignity, cleanliness, and basic care. What I’ve seen raises serious concerns about neglect, understaffing, and lack of accountability. Families should be aware before placing their loved ones here.

My sisters and I considered and visited 4 different rehabilitation facilities for short term rehab for our father in the central jersey area. The Venetian was #1 on our list based on our tour, and the attention and care from the onboarding team to educate and inform us of everything we needed to expect. Specifically Luda, Danielle, and the Director of Nursing Kevin Fischer were very thorough and attentive. I felt very confident that they had a quality team in place that actually cares about their patients. Some of the other facilities we visited and researched made me feel like the patients are just a number and task to check off. We ended up not using the Venetian because it was too far of a distance for our mother to travel. If it was closer, it would have been the easy first choice. When conducting your research make sure you visit the facilities. Get a feel for the place to see if you'd be comfortable with your loved one staying there. Make sure you visit more than one facility so you have something to compare. One of the key metrics are patient to aid ratios (which should be 8:1 within state guidelines), and patient to nurse ratios (which don't have state guidelines but you can compare). If you see a facility is clearly understaffed, then you can be sure that they do not have the resources to care for their patients properly. Lastly, for the Venetian, focus on reviews since April, 2025. This is when the location changed to new management, and it seems like there have been major changes that have greatly improved the quality of care.
