My mother has been in Venetian Center for almost 4 years. Her name is Viola and she lives on the 4th floor. My name is Arlene Sharir Jacobs and I am one of her daughters . I have given the new Venetian 5 stars because the new owners have been here for a few months and are trying their best to clean up the mess that has been left behind by the previous owners. My experience with the new owners is the moment they took over the building, they have supported Sandra our administrator, in her decisions with improving Venetian and one of the best decisions was in hiring Kevin Fisher as our DON. Both of them, along with Michael (administrator), are working diligently to fix any and all things that come in the front of their path that is not an asset to the residents. Keep in mind, that they must be told about a staff member whose behavior does not follow Venetian culture or a situation that does not adhere to the well being of the residents in order to address it. I have found that speaking to them as if Sandra is my sister or Kevin and Michael are my brothers, helps me tell them everything. And honestly, all my concerns are addressed because I see the change. And if the change is temporary and if my concerns reoccur, I go back downstairs and they go back upstairs to address the problem with, I would guess, more conviction. The team is trying and succeeding, again, I can say this because I see the change. My mom means the world to me and everyone knows it in this building and yes, my expectations are high for Venetian because she lives here. You might see me driving my mom around in her Gerry chair or you might catch me sitting down in our Bistro area looking out the window with my mom. You can stop by and say hi as we continue in this chapter together. And I know with our help as loving family members sharing all our concerns and frustrations to the right people, if and or when they occur, the new Venetian will continue it's growth as one of the best homes for our loved ones.

Venetian is an excellent facility. The facility is very clean and well maintained. The staff is very responsive and caring. They provided care for my brother and my mother and both experiences were very good. The staff went above and beyond in the care provided for my family members. I would highly recommend this facility.

I just wanted to praise and acknowledge Ed the manager and the young secretary Tahtianna on the 4th floor. My mother has been in numerous assistant living locations and nursing homes and due to my mother's condition it has been difficult for my family and I to find a facility that can handle her condition and we are grateful to have found venetian. Ed is extremely knowledgeable and always has the best interest in my mother's care. Tahtianna is so sweet , kind , patient & extremely attentive to not just my mother but all other residents in this facility. It definitely brings me peace of mind knowing that my mother is in good hands.

Everyone has different experiences. The facility has three floors of residents. We can only comment regarding the third floor, Butterfly wing. The custodial staff keeps the building very clean. We can't say enough about the Activities staff, beginning with Mary Ann, the Supervisor. The activities people see that the residents are cared for and their minds occupied. Sharon looks out for the residents like family. Teresa reaches out to residents to participate in available activities such as the beauty shop services. Victoria of Social Services, has always been responsive to our needs. The nurses are caring. Dan is proactive in obtaining necessary services for residents. Nancy, Elaine, KK, and Margaret are responsive to the residents' needs. The aides do a fine job. Everyone works hard, but more help is critical so that the aides could tend to the needs of the residents who are there because they are compromised. The residents need time and attention. It may not be perfect, but it's not a perfect world. Sometimes there are differences of opinion, but it is worked out.

Resident, Robert H. does not have a phone. He would like to do a review: Robert stated the food is great and facility is clean. He gets good care and Daniel the Unit Nurse helps him all the time.

I, Sylvia Nadal, have an amazing experience at the Venetian Care and Rehabilitation Center. My favorite department is the activity department. I enjoy the activities that they provide for us on a daily. The facility is nice and clean at all times, and I find appreciation in that. The nursing department takes great care of all of my needs. It has been a pleasure to come across so many great people, residents and workers alike. I genuinely enjoy every aspect of this amazing community.
