My wife Lorraine has been an in house rehabilitation patient throughout June and July 2026. We have been "BLESSED" by the bright airy atmosphere, the highly professional, friendly staff, and multitude of entertaining and engaging programs planned, and carried out by the staff (singing, dancing, serving). GOD Bless ALL... You ARE Treasured!!!

Both my mother and husband were in Parker at Somerset sub-acute at the same time. My mother for 1 month , my husband 2 weeks. My mother has had previous experiences with sub- acutes and when we knew she needed to go to sub-acute rehab following her hospital stay she expressed not to go to back to any of them and I felt the same. We were very fortunate that both my mom and husband were accepted to Parker at Somerset. My mom was admitted a few days before my husband. From the moment I entered their main entrance I was greeted warmly by their receptionist and the same followed with the entire staff including Administration, nurses, doctors, PA’s, PT, OT, ST, Social Workers, and most importantly the caring, compassionate, so very kind and thoughtful Aids. Aids are such an integral part of a persons’ recovery. When I requested to speak with a team member I always received a call back or a visit to my family members room while I was visiting within a reasonable amount of time. My husband has returned home. My mother transitioned to their Long Term Care. Without reservation I highly recommend Parker at Somerset for both Sub-Acute and Long Term Care.

How should I start? Well, here goes...two years ago, my mother was admitted into Parker. She was in the most worst condition of her life diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. My family and my life was upended. The moment we arrived late at night being transferred from Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, we were greeted by friendly staff members. I would not know how things would proceed from here, but we heard great things about Parker. It was supposedly the #1 destination for rehab in the area. Every little bit of kindness does wonders for families and their loved ones that are battling disease or in my mother's case cancer. They had positive Christmas parties with happy people spreading joy with their singing. They had receptive front desk staff. They had wonderful nurses male and female. Patients were respectful to each other. There was a positive atmosphere that radiated throughout Parkers facility everyday that my mom was in attendance there. Karaoke was especially uplifting to my mother. Christmas at Parker went best as it could for my family. It was the first time we celebrated Christmas in a rehab room and staff that worked on Christmas Day to accommodate all the sick patients and their families, they did their jobs like it was any other day. We actually ordered a lot of food and pizza and the room was a mess, but the staff there never complained and just cleaned it up. I apologize if my review is long overdue, or it is just too long but I my mother is still fighting the beast that is cancer and I needed to write this review to Parker Rehab and its staff because I completely forgotten to through this trying journey with my mother and family the last two years. Parker obviously has good management and train their employees very well.

The place is modern like a hotel and very clean. The staff is shorthanded and my aunt sometimes waits for toilet help and ends up soiling her diaper because it took too long. Updates are not often. Her facility before gave us weekly and emailed us information without us having to ask. She doesn't remember or understand sometimes, so we rely on information. The place is nice, but could use more staff and more ways to find out status of residents consistent.

My grandmother experienced three strokes within the span of a month, leading to six hospital visits and time spent in four different rehabilitation facilities across New Jersey. Out of all the subacute rehab centers she stayed in, I can confidently say that Parker stood out as the best by a wide margin. The nursing staff was exceptional, and the staff to patient ratio truly made a difference. Whenever we used the call button, someone responded promptly. If they were assisting another patient and anticipated a short delay, they would still take a moment to check in and let us know they would be there shortly. That level of communication and attentiveness meant a lot. The team consistently showed patience and went out of their way to provide one-on-one care whenever possible. After her stroke, my grandmother lost much of the ability to use her left hand, and the staff made sure she was fully supported during meals. When family members could not be there, an aide would take the time to help feed her, something we did not experience at other facilities, where trays were often left untouched and then simply taken away. At Parker, she was never overlooked in that way. On more difficult nights, the staff allowed me and other family members to stay with her past visiting hours until she was settled and asleep. Small gestures like that created a sense of comfort and made the environment feel far more personal and compassionate. I especially want to recognize Tiaisha, who went above and beyond to make my grandmother feel safe and cared for when we were not there. Her kindness and dedication truly made a lasting impact on my grandmother and on our family. I am also incredibly grateful to both Nicoles, Nicole in Admissions and Nicole in Social Work, who made a stressful process feel a little more manageable. Nicole in Admissions, in particular, played a crucial role in helping me transition my grandmother out of a previous facility where she was not receiving the care she needed, and I cannot overstate how much that meant. Beyond the care itself, Parker offers a modern, clean, and welcoming environment. The outdoor spaces provide a refreshing change of scenery for patients on nice days, and the community feels lively with regular activities and events. And of course, we cannot forget Luna, Parker’s beloved guinea pig mascot, who brought moments of joy and helped encourage my grandmother to get out of her room. Overall, the entire staff at Parker was outstanding. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking compassionate, attentive rehabilitation care for a loved one recovering from a life-altering medical event.

Parker at Somerset was amazing in every single way when it came to the last 3 months of my dad’s life. He battled glioblastoma brain cancer for 2.5 years, and when he started showing signs of decline, he was transferred to Parker. They truly were incredible. Every single member of the Parker team made such a positive impact on our lives during those last few months. My dad was extremely well taken care of and they were very on top of his needs at all times. I’d recommend Parker to anyone that is in need of a nursing or subacute rehab facility. We will forever be grateful to them.

I would highly recommend! Private room and private bathroom inside the room, because I hate to share, lol, it’s like a hotel. Nice view of the woods seeing the deers pass by. Facility is clean, and very modern, and most of the staff is very helpful and friendly, now there are some few bad apples I wish would find another job, but I guess nothing is perfect. Social worker needs to be more focus. Food could be more better and healthier considering these are seniors. Therapist ST, OT, PT are very professional, honest and encouraging. Love the rehab gym. Fun events for residents to attend. But their biggest downfall is no one answers the phone at the front. You can find yourself calling for hours if anyone picks up at all.

Parker at Somerset I absolutely love you all. This Facility and its staff has been absolutely fantastic to my Dad. This place is absolutely beautiful well maintained, clean and always smell fresh. They are always having events for residents and families as well. The Communication is Top Notch ! I really love the staff I Thank you all for everything you have done for my Father they treated him better than just being a resident . He was treated like Family . I recently spent a month doing rehab for a broken hip/hip replacement at Parker at Somerset. The wonderful staff at Parker helped me get through one of the most painful and difficult experiences of my life with empathy and compassion. From the PT/OT staff to the nursing staff to the nice lady who handed out cookies and puzzles to the social worker and finance person -- everyone was kind, helpful and professional. The building was clean, pretty and filled with light. I just can't thank them enough for their attentive care to both my medical and my emotional needs.

My husband and I are in the process of supporting his sister during the next phase of her life. She's had many difficulties associated with memory loss issues over the past 1-2 years. It's only been during her time in Parker that we've been able to breath a little easier. Since January, she's been in two hospitals and two rehab/long term care facilities before being admitted to Parker Somerset for rehab, for a broken hip at a previous facility. The level of caring and love that the staff has given to my sister-in- law/my husband's sister is beyond awesome. I want everyone to know if you are seeking a facility with a compassionate and empathetic staff, look no further than Parker Somerset.

This is my husbands google account, but it was my 94 year old mother that was admitted to the rehab at Parker for 3 weeks for a sacral pressure sore. She needed the wound vac , which honestly, was a miracle cure in allowing her wound to heal to a point that allowed her to return to her assisted living. I cannot thank the staff and especially Amy, the wound care PA , enough in making this happen so quickly!! The facility is extremely clean and beautiful, and the staff were all amazing! Thankyou Parker for everything and I can only say wonderful things about this facility.

Parker At Somerset, Adult Day Care Program, is full of exceptional staff members. From the Director all of the way to the bus driver. They just don’t go to workthey do it, every day, with dedication, compassion, understanding clients need and supporting their family members ! They know how challenging is to make, someone living with dementia, comfortable and safe and they do it ! My family member was, always, welcomed by a charming staff member, morning after morning. They were an amazing resource to all of us! Unfortunately, my family member, needed to move on to a nursing home. But, we, for ever, will be grateful to have them in our lives ! Thank you!

In September of 2022, my wife was admitted to Parker, to rehab from back surgery. The facility appeared to be amazing, esthetically pleasing. However, the staff failed to dress my wife, before her therapy sessions and she after a few days, she had to go back to the hospital. I complained to the administrator and she was kind enough to reach out to me. We had an amazing conversation. She expressed to me how her father was treated, at another facility, so I know that she related to my concerns. Since then, my wife has had to be in a nursing home/rehab facility on 5 separate occasions. After being in the hospital again, a few weeks ago, she had to return to a rehab facility, again. Because of the private rooms and newness of the facility, we decided to go back to Parker. When she was discharged, I wrote to the same administrator (I don’t know why I kept her email)(I guess that now I do know why), she responded to my email and we have had no issues during her 2 week stay. Thank you Parker, for giving my wife the dignity and respect that she deserves.

We cannot thank the Parker staff enough for all they are doing for our mother. Our family has peace of mind knowing the level of care she receives every day. Not only do they focus on her medical wellness, but they also focus on her mental wellbeing. Our mother has dementia and is not always able to verbalize her feelings, but she is able to sing many of the songs she loves. After we mentioned our mother’s love of music, they incorporated music into her general activities. I cannot tell you how much joy this brings her. Throughout the year they have special events, like talent competitions featuring the residents. You can see all the happiness this brings to the residents and builds the sense of family in the Parker Community. Parker has been a gift to our mother and a gift to me and my sisters.

Parker is a excellent facility. The therapists, nurses, doctors, and social workers are top notch. Every person I have had contact with is knowledgeable in their field and able to give over information easily and effectively. The facility itself is beautiful and modern. The rooms are spacious and everything is laid out aesthetically pleasing and with safety in mind. I strongly recommend this facility as one of the best in NJ !

My mother has been a resident of Parker Somerset now for a few years. I am amazed and humbled at times over the care, kindness, support, and person-centered care given by the entire building. There is not one department or discipline that does not positively affect her care. They refer to each other as care-partners and indeed that shines through. From the way they tailor meals to a very picky and demanding pallet, to the one-on-one care given to her even in the most trying times. Some might disparage the whole home for a single bad experience or interaction, which is their perception and right. I will leave my own personal experience and perception. Parker Somerset is a top notch facility with person- centered, loving and caring team members, from top to bottom. I have not ONCE regretted moving her from her previous facility to this home!

When Grandpa Joe had to come to Parker after leaving the hospital we all worried. He like routine, his tv shows, and to talk your ear off about cops and fire trucks. We were worried he’d have a hard time settling in. But he didn’t he was treated like family and was able to watch his shows, get yummy meals and desserts (food was his thing) , he was always smiling despite the pain he was in. They even let us decorate his room with cards and artwork that kids love to draw. CNA Loida even gave him a haircut and shaved him after being in the hospital for so long. We visited him around Christmas and it was so warm and festive. We celebrated, smiled, and enjoyed each other - all without the feeling of a cold and lonely environment.

Incredible care while at facility, but discharge poor and have not seen a nurse going on 3 days from discharge. You would expect nursing and rehab services to be available upon bringing my my Mom home. Too bad as the staff at the facility was great!

Overall a good care facility with a friendly staff, but during her stay, my grandmother developed bad habits with her evacuations. Both urinary and bowel. This is because she was left alone for long periods of time without any supervision and continuously soiled herself. This was not the case before her brief stay in this facility.
