My mom has been a resident for 3 years! The staff is very professional, caring and truly take care of my mom 100%. They treat my mom as if she was a family member to the staff. I have learned first hand, these are a very special, gifted group of people. As the residents daughter, I am treated like family, any time I walk through the doors. You will not be disappointed. You can relax knowing your loved one is in good hands!

The staff is extremely professional and helpful. Our family was very impressed with the director, Jamison Delgado. She was able to walk us through the move and answer all of our questions. We especially love Jennifer at the front desk on any given Thursday or on the weekends you can count on her always being here with her welcoming personality. In looking for assisted living locations for my dad we were so impressed with Sunrise Paramus! It is clear how dedicated the staff are and it felt like a family run business. Barbara showed us around several times and was not only knowledgeable but incredibly kind during a difficult time for us. She went above and beyond to address our questions and connect us with the nursing staff who was also wonderful. Highly recommend!

My mom was at Sunrise for 5 months. The care was excellent and the aides were caring. On her last day while waiting for her to be transported to a new facility we had a bad experience involving Patti. My mom was having her lunch before being transported and my sister was standing with her helping her with her meal. Patti entered the room and was so nasty telling my sister she could not stand with my mom. There were only 3 other women in the dining room. My mom had been eating by herself for the past few weeks. My sister only wanted to make sure my mom ate something before she was transported. Pattie was loud and very nasty to my sister. She said the rules were no guests in the dining room when there were guests always in the dining room. The woman sitting at the table next to my mom even told my sister to complain about Patti. Brie did contact me after I emailed her about the incident. She told me that it was not right what Patti did and she would be using this at their town hall meeting on how not to treat a resident. Maybe an apology from Patti would have been better. Patti has shown aggressive behavior other times. Maybe she should not be working with the elderly.highly disappointed that my moms last day was such a bad experience. Maybe anger management is a thought for Patti.? I wonder why the owner has not commented on my post. Only the good reviews. I will keep posting until I get a response!

This facility provides a high level of care in a warm, homey setting. My Mom was in another Memory facility that was set up more like a modern hotel; it was cold, sterile and the level of care was no way near as good. Sunrise was a little more expensive, but is providing exponentially more care. Brie, the director, is very empathetic and hands on, and advocated for us with the hospital. I was at my wit's end trying to care for my Mom, and now I feel like she's finally found a safe, caring place to live. We final have "a new normal." I highly recommend Sunrise of Paramus. My only regret is that I should have gotten my Mom here sooner.

My mom was at Sunrise Paramus for the last few weeks of her life. From my very first meeting with Barbara Mattesich, and Kingka, director of nursing, I was impressed with the compassion, competence and integrity of the institution. Even the ancillary staff of finance, recreation, food services and housekeeping are to be commended for their helpful and welcoming assistance. My mom had been to many rehabs over the past five years, and, unfortunately, one was worse than the other. Sunrise is in a category of its own because of its excellence and commitment to superior resident care. I want to thank ALL of the staff on the memory care unit: the nurse manager and her staff; the aides and housekeeping staff; and all the hospice workers. You will never meet more attentive, genuinely caring and well trained people. If you want the best in care for your loved one, look no further than Sunrise in Paramus. It is a beacon of light in the dark world of healthcare.

The care givers really do care about the patients; even those who are there to greet us at the door. The only issue I have had is with the laundry services. Sometimes items are not returned to the correct room. Items that don't belong to the patient arrive in his room instead.

I have only WONDERFUL to say about Sunrise of Paramus. Our mother who was suffering from dementia lived her last few months there and the staff and management were absolutely the nicest and kindest to us and to her. The facility is clean and welcoming and the staff is amazing. They are so patient and so sweet with the residents and the families. The Director Lisa helped us navigate this difficult time with wisdom and kindness. I will always hold Sunrise of Paramus in a special place in my heart as they were there for us at a most difficult time. Thank you Sunrise of Paramus.. keep up the great work. You are truly making a difference in people's lives and that is amazing.
