I have been a rehab resident for 6 weeks and feel with my family I will be able to function fully. My only request is if you have in house visitation to assist with the rehab. One note here is that I have left a few voice messages with no response. I would like to talk to someone to see my options. I feel strong enough to function with a family member. My wife Joann received exceptional care right up to her passing from cancer. The Director of Nursing, the nurses and aids, physical therapists, house keeping, and the other staff are exactly the kind and professional people you want to take care of a loved one in distress. It takes special people with a lot of compassion to work in care facilities and my late wife and I were fortunate to find them at Preferred Care of Old Bridge. Outstanding! My mother-in-law is a well satisfied, thriving resident at Preferred Care and we are pleased. The home/community is clean, well maintained and professionally managed. Rooms are well appointed and provide all the safe comforts. It is a friendly and compassionate environment dedicated to quality and responsive, individual-centered care. The caregivers and staff (from the reception desk all through housekeeping) are attentive to her needs and approachable with ease. Administration is very communicative--actively interacts and takes time to get to know her and her stories. The frequent social activities, great recreation and variety of entertainment are impressive. My Mother-in-law often says that she never felt like a patient, but rather respected as a whole person given top priority, feeling welcomed and assisted by folks who genuinely like what they do! She affectionately refers to them as her extended family. While not an easy decision to entrust a nursing home with our dearly, deeply loved one; the support and special warmth extended by Preferred care has made the transition easier for which we are resoundingly grateful.

Preferred Care strongly advocated for a relative to be treated with empathy and respect. Administrators, Social Workers, Nurses and Aides made a coordinated effort to care for my cousin and support his needs fully and beyond expectations. Preferred Care at Old Bridge does an incredible job taking care of all their patients. The variety of their patients, both short and longer term is unbelievable, and they adapt as quickly and appropriately as possible. Their abilty to adjust to the demands of the last moment new patients as well maintaining the health and well being of those already situated is based on the staff's determination to assist in whatever is needed and called for. The range of patients and scope of the individual needs far surpasses those of hospitals and they do their best to allocate the rooms, food, cleaning/sanitizing, and staff for the benefit of all. I'm sure the staff does not receive much positive feedback from those who are in pain and difficult circumstances, but I could see how they work together and provide whatever assistance they can give the rules and guidelines. A daily page is delivered with historical news and puzzle,meals with healthy food were served (including a tasty dessert for dinner), the Physical Ed and Occupational Ed people visit the patients rooms as well manage a room for daily workouts. There are beautiful gardens to sit quietly in and enjoy the outdoors. I could go on and on about all they provide that goes well beyond the basics.im just glad I experienced it firsthand while suffering from a hip fracture and observed the positive change in attitude of others who were enduring their own challenges.

Sub acute rehab has a professional and caring staff from RNs to Aides to Maintenance. They took excellent care of my wife from getting her bathed, fed and out of bed into a wheelchair. The facility is kept very clean and kitchen was able to accommodate special needs. Highly recommended.

My sister is a patient at Preffed Care at Wall. We are not very happy with the care. They are understaffed, which makes them overworked, unfriendly and less attentive to the residents. Care is lacking and the facility is not as clean as it was in the past.
