My mother is in the Assisted Living and I cannot express enough how much we truly appreciate the staff. They are very caring and nurturing. I have to say I haven't seen or heard my Sister so happy ever since her only child, daughter, put her in a nursing home and when I went to visit I took her out of the nursing home and now she's by Harbour View and Eve made the transition so smooth and peaceful that now my Sister regained her life back & worth joy. I am doing a review for my brother and my brother's name is Ken Turner he arrives at this community he talked to the lady by the name of Eve and he talked to the lady by the name of Tanya they are truly great great people know how to work with the public know how to be upfront and honest my brother Ken told me they told him that why they're working on his apartment they'll work around him and they had done just that right now my brother he loved the community he loved the administrator he loved the maintenance department and the housekeeping he loved the front desk and activity one thing that my brother Ken Turner he do not like the food my brother used to having five star experience and what is not getting is a fast stop experience about how he have lunch and dinner the food is cold the coffee he gets it's very very cold that's the only thing that he don't like about the community one thing that told him they will work around him they're doing just that they're missing the painting needs to be painted right now the heat unit is not working they gave me some heaters that you plug up and that's keeping him for one he loved it because they have great review out his window but he says it needs to be worked on even more he tells me he's going to get it 30 days been here he's going to look for another place but my brother he'll give people benefit of the doubt and he'll just leave he's not leaving because of Eve and Tanya in the activity in the maintenance he's very frustrated this is not what he paid for he pays for nothing but the best and a lot of times it's five star that's real talk may God bless you all I'm his brother I talk to my brother everyday I have to keep him in good spirits because he's down we come from a faith community and a faith family and we don't give up

I posted 3 years ago when my dad was first admitted to Harbourview. Wanted to follow up and express my sincere and heartfelt gratitude for the excellent care our dad continues to receive from the staff and administration. They treat him and us as family and his care has been optimal each and every day. He’s always clean, well fed, loved and never sedated. His aide Millie cannot care for him any better. We couldn’t t be happier with her care. She’s a guardian angel on earth. She cares for him as if he were her dad. The rest of the staff is just as caring.and loving Marilu, Cecilia, nurse Anna and others (too many to mention my name). Even the cleaning person, Lorena, is a gem. I highly recommend Harborview for anyone seeking exceptional long term nursing care facility. Gratefully, Luis Jimenez family.

Our mother is at harbourview senior living ALF. The staff members are truly warm and caring. The DON and Charge nurse are very informative and always giving us updates. They treat each resident with love and respect. Each staff member is attentive to our mother needs. After a short time there, they knew her likes and dislikes. We visit often and see that she is clean and well cared for. She always has hair well groomed. They have a variety of activities to keep the residents engaged. It always nice to see my mother participating. The facility is very safe and secure. The building is always clean. Her apartment is always neat, clean and laundry done. The staff is always friendly and greeted us with a smile. The nursing and medical staff explained step by step what was needed. They were always available to answer my questions or address any concerns. We highly recommend Harbourview senior living Assisted living for your loved one.

The cna, the entertainment, the nursing staff they were all so good to my father. I had my uncle here for the last few months of his life. It was the hardest thing to do for our family but I was glad we chose this place. The nursing staff was caring and understanding, not just to my uncle but to us as well. We would call often and they were always willing to give us an update. On his last date they allow us all to stay until the last minute and then made all the arrangements for us. I hope no one finds themselves in the same position as my family, but if you do this is the place to be.

It’s a very difficult decision for one to make when we are care givers to a family member because you only want to the best for them. I am so grateful for Harbour View assistant living I had to make the decision to place my sister there, and it was the Best thing I could’ve ever done for her. She is finally now living quality life, Ms Heather Bales from admissions made the transition so easy for me and my sister. From the second you walk in every one is so pleasant . The nurses and the aids take care of my sister so well I wish I would’ve done this years ago. My sister is so happy and content and that’s exactly what I wanted for her. I am a 48yr old male i Had gotten into an accident and had both my knees broken. They had sent me to this facility. Where at first I wasn't sure what to expect because I'd never been in a situation like this but let me tell you This place and these people are so amazing they go Way out of their way to make sure you're okay to make sure you have everything you need, food is great and If by chance you did not eat enough they make sure they get you extra food, They make sure you have water by your bed Everyday all day.. Anything you need help with, all you have to do is ask and they will do the best they could to help you... Not that I wish this upon anybody but if you ever ever have to go to a facility this is the facility I will definitely choose... Your bed sheets are always changed every single, They help you with doing your laundry, They also have a great-great therapy staff. Everybody, there is amazing and they also go out of their way to help you the best they could.. And I mean, they come to your room to see how you're doing. Is everything okay? That's what I mean. By Going Out of their way....I wanna also give a big shout out to cristy For always being there listening to me when I was stressed out she took time out of what she was doing to listen... The only thing I regret is that I had to leave too soon.... Again everybody there is amazing, place is very clean, They come in your room every single day to make sure of that

Over two months ago, we had to make a very difficult decision to transfer our dad to long term permanent residency, a decision we had postponed for a long time because we were trying to keep him comfortably in his own apartment. After much research, we selected Hudson Hills and are very happy with our decision. From the first conversation I had with Maria in admissions, I felt like she really cared about my dad’s well-being and was so empathetic. She coordinated a tour, the transportation and all the paperwork with ease and made it as painless for us as possibleshe was a Godsend and I’m very grateful for how supportive she was throughout the whole process. Even after he was transferred, she made herself available to answer any questions and make sure he/ we were fine. When Cathy and I, the head nurse, had a conversation during the interview/intake process to see if Hudson Hills would be the right fit for my dad, she too was amazing. Reassuring me that the behavior my dad was displaying was no different than any other patient with advanced dementia. The patient centric culture she had instilled in her nursing staff and the community of Hudson Hills was apparent. Although she’s a very busy lady, I always know I can reach out to her with any concerns and she will take the time to address the matter. My father was blessed with a wonderful and caring aide named Millie during the morning shift who goes above and beyond to see that he is eating because he is not eating as much as we would like, that he is bathed and engaged. We visit practically everyday and have always found him clean, out of bed and in the community room, and alert (never overly medicated which I know was one of my biggest fears). The evening and weekend aides also try their best and have come to know our family and provide us with details of how he’s doing (apologies that I’m not posting all their names). Loretta one of the head nurses assigned to my dad’s floor is also so very caring, accountable, and knowledgeable. She always takes the time to address our concerns and even talks to the doctor on our behalf if necessary. It takes a village to take care of the elderly especially those with advanced dementia. I’m writing this post to let others know that there are permanent long term facilities with a heart who do care about their patients well-being, understand how hard this is for the family too, and are willing to go the extra mile to make their patients comfortable and well cared for during the last year of their lives. Typically I don’t write reviews but thought this could help reassure another family dealing with the same hard decision we encountered over two months ago that there are good alternatives out there when needed. To the staff at Hudson Hills, please keep up the good work and we do appreciate all you are doing each and every day. We know how difficult it is!

The new management is making my grandmother's stay comfortable and fun. I love to visit my grandma during the activity hours, she seems to be having fun with the other residents there. I spoke to the head director of activity and she seems to be very light spirited. Khristy is a very nice woman and she is always engaging with the residents. If you want your family to be in a great place, I believe this is the place to be.

My Mom lived in Brandywine in Mahwah and transferred here in June 2016. She is doing better now than when she arrived at Hudson Hills. At 85 years old and a stroke survivor I think this is amazing. That in itself deserves 5 stars. The recreation department does a fantastic job. Angie and Maranda are both engaging and caring. They truly love the residents and Hudson Hills is fortunate to have them. The food is generally very good. The new owners are doing their best to upgrade the facility. So far so good. When there is a concern the owner personally will address it promptly if she is notified. Most of the aides are excellent. Most importantly I feel confident that my mom is being well taken care of and she is happy which gives me peace of mind.

I am giving the new owners 4 stars for effort. The prior management ran the place down and Annemarie and Murphy have been doing so much these 7 months to create a quality care home for our parents in the face of many obstacles. There is much still to be done to the physical plant but the people they have retained such as Bea, Ellen, Margaret and Rose and many others are all excellent choices, the new staffing choices and the many they have let go seem all for the better. But the improved daily LIFE of the place every single day for the folks who live there goes to the Recreation department who have provided a multi-fold increase in quality of life under the direction of ANGIE. Suddenly there are choices and new options and things to do every single day for our parents, ranging from the sublime to the everyday meaningful. Angie directs a staff with a kind of energy that is contagious, and my mom and others are finding their physical, cognitive, spiritual and social needs met in meaningful ways for the first time in years. As the quality of care in nursing, and certified nurses' aids increases, I look forward to seeing a place that is really worthy of the name Senior LIVING.

Hudson Hills is first-class and deserves every one of the stars I gave them! I have been VERY impressed with the attention and compassion they have shown to my elderly aunt. As you walk around the facility, you can witness time and time again little gestures of kindness. You get a strong sense that the staff truly cares about the residents. My aunt has been living at Hudson Hills for a little over six months. Before we chose this facility, my husband and I did extensive research and visited many of the other facilities close to our home in northern New Jersey. Hudson Hills was considerably less expensive than their competitors, and is THE BEST value for the money in the area. To top it all off, the view of the Manhattan skyline from my aunt's room is breathtaking. I will recommend Hudson Hills to all my friends with aging loved ones.

My grandmother has lived at Hudson Hills for over 5 years and I am intimately involved in her life. I visit her every week, and have watched the community get lifted back up in only a few short months! Since the new owners took over earlier this year, the care and quality has improved dramatically. The new owners (brother and sister team) are hands-on and REALLY care. I have both of their cell numbers and have called several times during the transition to report bumps. The cost to live at Hudson Hills is substantially lower than competitors. Most importantly, though, the environment is stimulating (lots of activities) the nursing team is amazing and the food is very good. My grandmother is very happy with the recent change in ownership. I have no idea what the comments below are referring to.
